Caramel Apples: Favourite Halloween candy?

Byakuran’s favourite Halloween candy? Obviously it’s those chocolate marshmallow pumpkins and witches. He’s someone who has a real sweet tooth and marshmallows are one of his go-to treats all during the year anyway, so it just makes sense that this is his go-to Halloween treat.

Uni is really happy with anything. She’s just grateful that anyone is giving her free candy and she’s not going to be picky about what she gets.

Kikyo, honestly, is probably the only person in the world who actually really enjoys seeing those single packs of raisins on Halloween. He doesn’t have a huge sweet tooth, and most of his Halloween candy gets eaten by other people but he just really does like raisins.

Zakuro doesn’t eat a lot of candy and chocolates. A lot of his Halloween candy gets eaten by Byakuran and Bluebell. The only thing he insists they don’t touch, and what he gets really excited to see tossed in his Halloween bag is soda. When people hand out cans of soda, or even juice, it makes him happier than any candy could.

Bluebell doesn’t actually have a favourite Halloween candy. She likes all of them pretty equally and what matters to her is how much she gets. She’s someone who’s not going to be happy with just a single bucket worth of Halloween candy. She needs that full pillowcase by the end of the night to be happy.

Daisy loves candy that is more taffy like in nature. Things like molasses kisses, Airheads, or even actual salt-water taffy make him really happy to get. He gets to eat them longer, because they take a lot of chewing, so he gets to enjoy the candy longer and the flavours tend to stick around longer.

Torikabuto is a monk completely possessed by a cursed mask. He doesn’t need to eat and the other’s take him out trick or treating, without even putting him in a costume because his normal appearance is scary enough, to get more candy for themselves.

Shoichi is going with Kit-Kats every time. They’re nice and easy to eat, even when his hands are busy with any of his other work and projects, and because you break them apart, he can eat one piece and save the rest for another time.

Gamma is a fan of Rockets. He’s actually the only one in the family who really loves them, so he’ll sacrifice most of his candy in exchange for everyone else giving him those.

Iris Hepburn is a chocoholic! Any chocolate bar will make her pretty happy, though she especially loves peanut butter cups.

Spanner is one of those rare people who actually get really excited when he sees suckers in his Halloween trick or treat baskets. He doesn’t mind Blow Pops and Tootsie Rolls, but his favourite are those apple caramel suckers that only really show up around Halloween.

Tazaru is honestly a little boring in his candy tastes when it comes to Halloween. Those little fun-sized packs of Starbursts always get him so happy.

Much like Bluebell, it’s not what he’s getting to Nosaru so much as how much he’s getting. He, Bluebell, and Uni probably have fun little competitions to see who gets the most candy. For Nosaru, his highlight is always when people pass out the full-size candy or sodas. Bigger is always better in his opinion.

"Nosaru! Nosaru, wake up!" Nosaru felt a hand clutching hers, the contact was burning her. She was cold. Was this how it felt for her friend? Was this how it felt for her mother? Was dying really this painful? She was scared… But… She pushed Yuki out of the way. She managed to save one person. She hoped he wouldn't feel guilty about this. Her body had gone numb. "Nosaru!" Despite her eyelids feeling so heavy, she still managed to open her eyes. "Oh, thank God! Stay with me, okay?" "Aiko…?" "It's me! Just stay put, I brought the medecine I've been working on! It will heal you!" Aiko's desperate voice broke her heart. Her sister's face was wet from tears, and Nosaru had never seen her like this, not even at their mother's funeral.

The hand that used to keep hers steady, was now shaking. "Please work…" Aiko let out a shaky breath as she helped Nosaru drink the potion. "It tastes awful…" Nosaru commented. Despite being fatally wounded, she was still bothered by something so trivial. "That's not very nice. I worked hard on that, you know?" Aiko laughed, but to Nosaru's ears, it sounded more like a sob. "I'm sorry, for always causing you so much trouble." "It's fine! It's fine, so just rest for now, your wounds will heal…" Aiko hugged her, unfazed by the fact that her clothes will become drenched in blood. She failed her so many times. Aiko has always pretended to know what she was doing. She acted like everything was fine, like giving her father all the space he needed would solve things. She acted like her research will magically fix everything. It didn't. Nothing was fixed. Not one thing.

"There you are." The distorted voice of the monster echoed in the hallway. "That worthless demon left you and ran off on her own? That makes things easier for me." Aiko looked up, expecting to see the illusionist, but her eyes widened in horror when she was met by none other than her mother. So that's how it is. "I was wondering how worthless scum like you managed to win against Nosaru." Aiko's eyes darkened as she gently put down her sister. She stood up, feeling her blood boiling. Her heart was racing, not out of fear, but out of rage. "You used that face against her." "She couldn't move at all! Even though she knew it was an illusion, she froze in fear!" To hear his laugh using her mother's voice made her bite her lip. "Now it's your turn to-" She didn't let him finish as she blasted a ray of energy towards him. He scowled and dodged, going back to his deformed form. "What is that?! You would kill your own mother?!" He was blasted again. Aiko's hand pointed towards him as she stood protectively in front of Nosaru. Her eye shone as her vision turned into multiple statistiques of her enemy.

"My mother is dead." She stated. "Your tricks won't work on me." He scowled, and extended his arm towards her, only for her to shoot his shoulder, rendering him immobile. "My powers aren't made for fighting, but I can see every weak point in your body." She explained as she shot him again, making him scream in pain."I can kill anyone in a matter of seconds, because no one understands the flow of a soul better than me." "You're bluffing! If you're anything like your sister you wouldn't-" He got shot through three different points of his body, knees and elbows, and finally his neck. "Am I?" The man struggled as he fell to the floor in pain. The flow of penergy in his body changed course, and began moving in opposite directions. He felt like he might explode. Aiko glared down as he screamed in pain. "Any last words?" "Please…" He begged. "Please don't…" She slammed her foot against his head. "You don't deserve to have any last words, now that I think about it." "All I ever did was for the best of humanity!" He choked and kicked his feet. Not even the dread in his eyes could save him. "You would understand!" "No. Your projects ruined people's lives. Killing and torturing innocents for the sake of 'science' isn't a heroic act." She stepped away and bent down. "Your experiements turned you into this. All because of your stupid inferiority complex." "You're the one siding with a demon! Do you know the true nature of that girl? She was not only a demon, but a hired killer! What makes her better than me?!" "The girl you're speaking of is now doing everything she could to redeem herself. That's why." Aiko turned to walk away. "Whether you see her as a human or a demon, the fact that she is trying to change for the better, should be enough proof for me to put my trust in her."

And it's not just Uni, Shoichi and Spanner. Genkishi and Gamma are in a one-sided heated discussion that he can't hear, Kikyo is watching them with snacks in his hand. Bluebell is running off with Nosaru, Daisy has one of the two Ginger Breads' hats, Zakuro is filling a bowl with soup, Torikabuto is organizing the dishes.

Iris's hair is easy to spot by the drinks, the other Ginger Bread is taking off his hat willingly, Baishana's turban is tall enough to see past Tazaru... all the rest of former-Millefiore stands in the large room. Chatting or shouting, munching snacks and sipping drinks.

With this many people, it counts as a full-fledged party, doesn't it?

Eventually, he wakes up naturally for once, only to find the nostalgia was just a dream. He will never see a lot of them again. The people there he does have now will never be happy in the same way they were in that dream.

Oh, this one is so much fun because I haven’t written anything for Nosaru in a long time, because he’s so forgotten by fandom! I had fun with these, and I hope you’ll enjoy!

Childhood headcanon

I honestly do see Nosaru as being orphaned. His parents were part of the Giglio Nero but died when he was a baby during a mission. Because Aria and later Yuni are very caring, empathetic bosses, they made sure to incorporate Nosaru into the family, with Gamma and Tazaru really becoming the boy’s parental figures as he grew up and his childhood with them was really something he remembers with fondness. He was never forced into fighting, never pushed into doing anything. He was played with, watched over, treated with kindness and love by these men and because he so admired them, he chose to try to emulate them from an early age in fighting for the family.

Friendship headcanon

Nosaru is definitely that friend who needs a mom friend. He’s headstrong, stubborn, and honestly way too fearless for his own good. He needs that grounding voice of ‘no, don’t go jump off that roof onto that trampoline to see what would happen; that’s a really stupid idea.’

Family headcanon

Nosaru isn’t a person who will want to form his own family when he grows up. Because he remembers all the kindness and love the Giglio Nero family showed him, he simply wants to devote his life to…not so much repaying them, but making them proud. To quote Gregory and the Hawk, ‘just trying to be good to the people who raised me.’

Happy headcanon

Nosaru, for all his hot-headedness, is honestly a really cheerful person. He might be quick to anger, but he’s even quicker to grin and smile and laugh. He’s very encouraging of others too – while an insult might come quick when people screw up, once his initial anger fades, he’s quick with compliments and offers to help them learn what to do.

Emotional headcanon

Nosaru struggles with his temper throughout all of his life, he really does. He has a really bad temper and is really quick to anger. Even when he gets sad or grieves, he defaults those emotions to anger because it’s something easier for him to process, easier for him to deal with. He will learn over the years how to better control his anger, how to walk away and go work out or go spar with someone he trusts instead of causing a scene but during his younger years, there were some hard times where he really did struggle with that anger.

What would happen if Lussuria and Levi babysat all of the kids?

Lussuria definitely has the most patience, and he doesn't really lose his cool, so the kids don't antagonize him like they do Levi. Luss also dotes on them and plies them with treats. Lambo, Fran, Bluebell and Nosaru take great delight in driving Levi crazy, and if they don't cause him to try and fry them all with electricity, they consider the babysitting a failure. Futa, I-Pin and Daisy usually don't cause any trouble, unless they get roped in the antics of the others.

Luss will do hair and makeup with the girls, and Levi can usually be persuaded to play video games or soccer with the boys. Once in a while Lambo or Nosaru land themselves a room confinement or a solid smacking.

By the end of the babysitting Levi and Luss will kick back with a bottle of wine to decompress.
