okay so normally when you see characters whose actions are exaggerated for comedic effect they're protected by plot armour because it's still in line with how everyone else in the story acts. but the forgers are clearly just weird as fuck and everyone can tell

Thinking about the symbolic weight of smoking in the TLT universe that comes to the fore in The Unwanted Guest -- the way it moves through from person to person: Pyrrha smoked, and Augustine wanted to impress her in all her stone cold fox MILF James Bond glory (and tbf who wouldn't) so he started too. and even though as far as he knows she's been gone for a myriad and is never coming back, he keeps the habit. Ianthe sees something in the hollowed-out Faberge eggshell of Augustine that resonates with her, all that gilded eloquent emptiness and disdain through the ages, so she picked it up from him to try to emulate it. She picked it up so hard that Palamedes -- the exact spiritual antithesis of the 'smoking! on a space station! what a powermove' ennui Ianthe so admired -- spontaneously unnerded enough to even known how to, simply from a sort of contact contamination of the soul.
G1deon and Augustine sharing a jittery smoke after their near-Harrow experience during soup night, and it's the closest thing to any real sense of brotherhood that remains between them. Pyrrha going ten thousand years dying both literally and for a smoke (and then Camilla sold her fucking cigarettes (for a third of what they were worth, probably Pyrrha's own good, and also more importantly grocery money). what an entirely haunted time to be alive etc.). Augustine and Mercy trading a cigarette back and forth in the middle of their collusion over the love and murder of god.
An act of small and measured self-destruction in the name of something a little bit like connection when you're stuck somewhere in yourself where love itself dares not or cannot tread (ritualized, transmissible)..........

I’ve said this many a time, but to be absolutely clear. I think it’s ridiculous to claim that rykard and radagon had a “good” relationship, like rykard has dedicated his life to tearing down everything radagon stands for, which speaks to something deeply rotten in their relationship. however I also don’t think it’s wrong to say that rykard and radahn might still in a way seek their father’s attention; their use of red on their soldiers’ plumes to indicate their “pedigree” could be them invoking radagon’s reputation as a respected warrior so that they might be seen as strong like their father. and you could also interpret rykard’s very deliberately public acts of blasphemy as a cry for any kind of acknowledgement, even if it’s negative… as if he’s so tormented by what his father thinks that he’s determined to become the thing he’d hate the most. and then radahn’s obsession with being a heroic warrior could be interpreted as a response to him not feeling worthy in his father’s eyes after being left behind and “replaced.” I think this is a relationship with a lot of nuance… we know radahn looked up to radagon as a “champion,” and if the children viewed their father as a role model then those feelings aren’t just going to disappear even after his betrayal, they’re going to become tragic and warped. I see their relationship with radagon as full of resentment and hurt and hatred, but deep down, they wish their father could be proud of them (a feeling that could go back even further if radagon always had an air of secrecy and distance around him while they were growing up). I think it’s very likely that after radagon left, rykard and radahn both had a kind of “why wasn’t I good enough for you?” response that they both ran with in completely opposite ways. basically I think their relationship with radagon is way more complicated than simply “they loved him” or “they hated him”

You have Slasher Toon Patrol fics? I cant find any 🥺 help
Wait wait wait- you've seen my Slasher Toon Patrol AU on slashingdisneypasta's blog?? You want to read about it!? Bro this is seriously getting my heart so bad!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
I have not posted anything about that AU on this blog, admittedly. I didn't think anybody else other than my friend and I would be interested in that AU XD not to mention how dark it is (cause, you know... Slashers aren't exactly known for being balls of sunshine 😅), I'm a little paranoid about posting about it on this blog, tbh. All of the Slasher Patrol AU stuff is solely on slashings blog.
But then again, I was encouraged to post my zombie toons AU and I haven't gotten any backlash for corrupting our beloved cartoon characters, so maybe I should try to post the Slasher AU on my own blog? But it's still pretty dark so I'm not sure. I don't want to upset the fandom, you know?
Here, you know what? If people are interested, I'll post about it. I know I got your vote, so that's one vote at least XD if I get... Let's say five votes, I'll post it. Deal? ^^

Vanta: "I am not dancing around the word death when I say 'you'll fall asleep and never wake up.' I mean it quite literally. A nightmare which will never grant you the release of giving way to the reality of the waking world."

i know I technically fall under at least one of the definitions of a detransitioner (was on hormones and stopped) but I very much do not claim that and I think that as a concept any definition of detransitioning that doesn't include a shift in identity back to align with your assigned sex is bullshit and based in like 20th century understandings of transitioning. medical transition is not the be all end all of transition or transness in general and stopping medical transition should not be conflated with reversing your transition.
