I have no idea what this is but here it is. Also we deserve a Minho, Seonghwa, Jeonghan interaction.
inspired by this and other UNHhhh moments
Seonghwa waited in a small booth for Minho and his guest to arrive, sipping on his drink. He’s only been waiting for about 10 minutes and half of that time was waiting for a seat to open. He looked at his phone to see if Minho texted him but the last text was him saying that they were on the way. It wasn’t a big issue, Seonghwa does live closer to the small establishment.
He only waited about a minute when Minho came toward the table with his own drink, a small sandwich, and… a familiar face strolling behind him. Oh, Seonghwa knew who that was! It’d be a shame if he didn’t.
“Hey, sorry we’re late!”
Seonghwa barely got a word out when Minho and his guest sat down. He was a bit starstruck. Well, he was more than starstruck. How did Minho know THE YOON JEONGHAN? The beautiful ‘95 liner who’s a sneaky little bastard with a huge heart.
Seonghwa tried to suppress his scream as he stood up to greet Jeonghan.
“No worries, I wasn’t waiting for long.”
The three settled in their seats with Minho introducing the two. Seonghwa didn’t say much, still in shock. He sat there while Minho and Jeonghan joked around and filled the cafe with their laughter.
“Oh my gosh, ok so yesterday at practice it was a long ass day. Everyone’s tired and Soonyoung is cracked up on I don’t know. It was mainly me, Seokmin, and Gyu who were telling our choreographer that we should cut it short ‘cause we’re tired. I’m sweating, hate that, and I had things to do. Joshua decided to only call me out though and say I was complaining too much,” Jeonghan went on a rant.
“Oh that’s stupid.”
“Yeah, and I was like ‘oh, I can’t complain but you can at 2 am?’ and he claims that he was venting,” he scoffed.
Seonghwa was a bit confused. Honestly, he was confused from the start, but this conversation was making him start to blank out. He tried to be involved, but his nerves were getting the best of him. But, when he heard that, he knew he could finally contribute something good to the chat.
“Are they not the same?”
Jeonghan turned to Seonghwa with a glint in his eye. “Exactly! That’s my exact thought.”
Minho laughed at that. “I never thought of it like that.”
“Well yeah, of course not. It’s like,” Jeonghan sighed trying to think of the right words. “When it’s called venting, it’s healthy, but when it’s called complaining you’re a bad person.”
The younger two laughed at that and couldn’t help but to agree.
The three have the best time at the cafe, sharing various stories about their members, their hobbies, and everything under the sun. Seonghwa learned a lot about Jeonghan that wouldn't be shared on the Internet, and even learned a little bit more about Minho. He’s really happy that Minho invited Jeonghan.
He needed more friends.
“Oh speaking of, are you still working on that Star Wars Lego set you were talking about the other day,” Minh turned to Seonghwa. He didn’t notice but Jeonghan perked up at that. His face lit up in wonder. Another Lego obsessed mom?
“Almost, I think. I just have a few pieces to put together. Well, that’s if no one touches it while I’m here.”
“Oh you have Legos too?” Jeonghan asked. Seonghwa happily nodded and pulled out his phone. He showed the man several sets that he’s either finished or is in the middle of doing. He shows his Millennium Falcon that he did on a live, Mandalorian Helmet, Jedi Starfighter, and even the orchid plant that is beautifully displayed in his room. Jeonghan was very impressed with his current collection and eventually showed his own. The two geeked out over their creations while Minho looked at them as if he was a proud mother. He knew they would get along and hoped that they would hang out in the future.
“Oh Hwa, we should get together sometime soon. I found this really nice set online and I think we can put it together in less than an hour.”
“Oh, I don’t know. It took me three hours to do the Millennium Falcon. And a day or so to do the helmet.”
“Well, more time to hang together, duh.”
Seonghwa lit up at that. More time to be with his senior? He had to stop himself from pinching his arm.
The conversation continued to other things and this time Seonghwa was able to keep up. Jeonghan checked the time and sighed.
“I’ll have to leave in a bit. Got some things to do and get ready for tomorrow.”
“Oh, what’s tomorrow?”
“Well I can’t give away too many details but-”
“Is it another day of cheating?”
“Bitch, how dare you,” Jeonghan and Minho laughed.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding.” There was a pause before Minho sighed. “Gosh, I’m a terrible person.”
“No,” Jeonghan reassured him, but then thought about it. “Well yeah, but that’s why we get along so well.”
“I’m not a good person,” Minho shook his head.
“Me neither.”
“I’m not. And ya’ know I’m not gonna just punch someone in the face, but I’m not gonna go out of my way to make you feel good.” Seonghwa cackled at that. He didn’t expect it, but he should have, knowing the mind of Minho and the crazy things he’d say aloud.
“Anyway, thanks for inviting me!”
The two say their goodbyes, and Jeonghan and Seonghwa exchange numbers. The two left settled down and ate the rest of what they ordered.
“So, what’s the straightest thing you’ve ever done,” Minho asked Seonghwa, causing him to almost choke on his drink.
At first, he didn’t know what to say, but he thought of something that made Minho almost fall out of his seat.
“I killed a guy.”
