Inspired by the perfume posts by @woodswit, I've now ordered perfume samples from Novellista, N.C.P. Olfactives and Mancera.

I've fallen into the world of niche perfumes and I am looking for discovery sets for various niche brands. I've fortunately also discovered a perfumerie in my city that deals only in very niche perfumes. Terribly expensive but they do sell samples. There's one that I'm dying to try out by Delire de Voyage called Notre Dame, inspired by the recent fire of Notre Dame de Paris.

hello i am here to diagnose ashton (with fragrance)

okay so like i know we've definitely had convos about fragrances before because i remember you saying that ashton would like amber. based on my fragrance knowledge (which is amateur, but i am an enthusiast who spends a lot of time on wikiparfum), this is very accurate for his personality. amber scents bring a lot of warmth and they tend to be paired alongside smoky or woodsy notes like musk and tobacco.

of course, i had to pick something with tobacco leaf because ashton is ashton and that man is consuming tobacco no matter what. i also figured that alice would probably buy him something fancy because she can't deal with the idea of him using old spice or axe and needs to fix that immediately. so, she's picking out velvet dusk by novellista. it's primary classification is dry, woody, fresh, and green. some of its components are musk, tobacco leaf, amber, bergamot, cedarwood, nutmeg, tangerine, vetiver.

it's also like, supposedly inspired by hamlet. so she's obviously picking this one. congrats on your diagnosis
