I was just scrolling through the hhau art tag and I’m putting things together… I’ve gotten the sense that redacted is the mystery avian from the drawings before, but that was it, except now… Juni’s wings are black at the end of the latest ramble about him… plus the handful of other comments…
Is Juni that other avian as well? For the inclusion of mentioning that Juni’s wings were changed to black now over their prior brown and with the last unnamed character of the mysterious drawn ocs having black wings… it certainly seems more then a coincidence.
…I feel like this is just going to get a “wait and see” or another ominous comment, but I wanted to at least share my theory. This AU is making me think so many things and I love it.
yall wanna cry today? too bad you're all crying today.
you know what they could do for s5? after the timeskip, they use steve to show that the upside down in back. how? they vecna him. and then we have to watch as everyone has to go through the upside down without steve. they have to fight without steve and without the safety that he gave to them. and dustin has to go straight into battle for it. he doesnt get to grieve steve like he did eddie. he just has to bottle it up and fight. which is exactly what steve did and exactly why he died. robin doesnt get off much better. she has to go straight back to fighting again, just like the rest and she doesnt get to grieve her loss. the loss of her best friend. the loss of her platonic soulmate. she doesnt get to stop and feel. she has to stand up and keep fighting. And in that moment, and that moment alone, she feels a modicum of what steve felt every time they went through this before. and she knows she has to keep fighting.
and steve, looking on from beyond the veil, just has to watch as no one even blinks at his death. and he thinks maybe he wasnt worth as much as he thought to them.
so this summer i am nannying a 5 year old who loves miraculous ladybug (my dream) & every day she asks if we can play ladybug and chat noir at the park. these are some comics based on our various games<3
People don't like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn't be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they're basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.
Like it's just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like "we're using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can" and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.
