In Defense of Kotori Minami

I love Kotori! She is adorable! But sadly, she is one of the most hated characters in Love Live.

Reasons for being hated: moe, annoying voice, her attitude in episode 12, is a manipulative bitch, blames all her issues on Honoka, retarded, betrayed her friends, trash character, unoriginal design, only there to make all the clothes

Moe

Honestly, Love Live is a moe anime. If you don’t like moe anime, done watch it. Unless you prefer the cooler girls, such as Umi, Eli, and/or Maki.

Annoying voice

Oh, shut up. Her voice is adorable!

Her attitude in episode 12

I honestly didn’t think her attitude in episode 12 was all that bad. Yes, it was stupid of her to not tell her friends that she was going to a fashion school for the rest of her high school year, but did she wanna hurt her friends’ feelings? Hell no.

Is a manipulative bitch

Umm, where does it say that? Literally about ALL the official information says that she is a kind character who cares about her friends. She has never shown even ONE thing of being manipulative, so she ISN’T manipulative.

Blames all her issues on Honoka

I wouldn’t say she blames all her issues on her. She’s just not good at making decisions, so she needs her friends to help her. I’m that kind of person as well.

Retarded

What the actual fuck?!?!?!?!?!?!?! She is not retarded. Look up the definition of the word “retarded” before calling (insert character here) retarded.

Betrayed her friends

She wasn’t trying to betray her friends. She had to go to a fashion school since she either was told to by her mom, or she wanted to fulfill her lifelong dream. I honestly believe it would be really hard to choose between your friends and your dreams. So I wouldn’t blame her.

Unoriginal design

I really don’t fucking care how “unoriginal” her design is. She is adorable! Just take a good look

Only there to make all the clothes

Nope. Nope. Nope. Not only is she there to make clothes. She is there to:

-support and care about her friends

-choreograph the dance moves

-become part of the student council to aid Honoka in her duties

-actually help start u’s because she was interested in Honoka’s idea (so it’s mainly thanks to her that u’s was a thing)

-convince Umi to write the lyrics for the songs

And that’s basically my defense for Kotori!
