Nubian goats my beloved

Wanted to share some of my irl photography. This is Holly. She was a 10 year old Nubian goat, and I got her from a friend who lost her in 2019. She was a very much loved doe, but had some health issues, which ultimately lead to her death. Isn’t she beautiful?

Also note the convex profile, known as a roman nose. It’s a very desirable trait in Nubians, and along with the long, floppy ears, is one of the most recognizable hallmarks of the breed

I’ve got three goats here on my homestead…Prissy…Chino and Noaa (born in a severe tropical storm). There really are no other animals like them. So funny. Little clowns. And yet very affectionate. My favorite barnyard animals by far! SEE MORE HERE!

Goats, devouring sumac berries. 

This fruit is just about the only high-nutrient consumable left in midwestern forests by this time of year. Many animals use these berries to sustain themselves through the bitterness of winter.
