Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett & The Clones
Wanted to post this to show that during his origin story in the classic 2002 video game Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Jango Fett did indeed care about the Clones. Jango said he was "proud" of them; he even let this be known to his son Boba Fett.
(Unlike the in-universe narrative claiming Jango cared nothing about the Clones & the only Clone Jango ever cared about was Boba.)
In the following Cutscene Storyboards from Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Mandalorian Bounty Hunter (And Prime Clone Template) Jango Fett said his Clones were a damn fine Army, ready for battle. When Jango discussed this with Boba, Jango told him: "You shouldn't feel sorry for them. I don't. I feel…Proud."
And I❤️this from @fox-trot talking about Jango Fett & his concerns with the lives & treatment of the Clones….
Jango Fett consistently fought the Kaminoans over reconditioning/ decommissioning. In the early days he managed to convince the Kaminoans to change the expected standard, allowing for more leniency regarding deviations in physical appearance, speech patterns, behavior, temperament, etc. This saved many lives. He also regularly stepped in & rescued clones scheduled to be reconditioned for ‘aberrant’ behavior or mental health concerns. The Null ARCs & Delta Squad were saved from death because of his intervention. He also had a secret operation where he smuggled at-risk clones off of Kamino.

An OrdoMaze story
I realized I always depict them already in relationship but never really told you how these two got together.
CW: Stalking, 2nd person POV
You are Captain Maze, an Alpha class ARC trooper, trusted right hand of General Zey.
After that fateful night of punching that idiot Null in the mouth during the Dha Werda, you feel a shadow constantly stalking you. You don't see them. But your instincts know that you are being watched. In the office. On the barrack grounds. In the library.
Someone hacked into your private datapad. You don't see fingerprints on the screen but new books were put into your own archive. The ones you will never have money to buy.
They are everywhere. You are getting paranoid.
You can't sleep well. You wake up in the middle of the night and you are about roll on your other side to get out of the bed and grab a glass of water when you see THIS creature - probably emerged from the 9th Corellian Hell -, staring right into your face from your bedside:

Fanfiction #8: Corr’s Bachelor Degree
Nocturius: 8th Republic Commando fanfiction! **All my stories are readable independently**
This story is about Corr as he was learning to be a commando with the Nulls. Or mostly, drinking Mereel's ''wisdom'' about the civilian world and working his self-confidence.
Also on Ao3 -> click HERE
Title: Corr’s Bachelor Degree
Fandom: Star Wars Republic Commando books by Karen Traviss
Characters: Null-7 Mereel and RC-5108/8843 Corr Skirata (Mention Ordo)
Rating: General
Topic: Positive masculinity, manhood, hooking up, dating advice, light mood
Pitch: Mereel and Corr are waiting in a dinner and the Null decide it was time for Corr to explore new horizons.

📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Wounded by Fi-Core/Nocturius Somewhere between in True Color, before Gaftikar Fi and Niner, on an undescribed planet
Null-Class ARC trooper, lieutenant Null-7 ‘’Mereel’’ had a very unusual assignment to fill these days. He was used to work solo or with his five close brothers, this time he was with a fairly newly met one, CT-5108/8843 ‘’Corr’’.
Corr WAS the mission.
Mereel was pretty good at guessing what kind of people he was dealing with. Actually, that was one of the reasons he accepted to take the former regular trooper as a cross-trained commando. He was also quite fond of the man. Not at all like what he has heard about the regs’. Corr had an inquisitive mind, he was dedicated to his tasks and willing to put the extra effort to match new challenges. Not a ‘’wet droid’’ at all.
The trainee learnt at a decent speed, most of what was expected for a commando. Not as efficient as what he would have done, but he couldn't blame him. The difference of 30% intelligence between them mostly required him a bit of patience in the teaching and what Corr didn’t have in brain, he compensated by hard work and eagerness. Which is all a teacher ever needs.
Today was a calm one. Both of them were sitting with civilian clothes in a cantina-bar which was mostly a fret-stop in a busy commercial district on Corellia. In those chill down times, Mereel often took the opportunities to talk with his pupil about various topics. Some ‘’Cultural and Art education’’ like he liked to call.
While he was waiting for his meal, two very gorgeous attendees passed near him and he couldn't help smiling charmingly. He got a wink from one of them. The civilian world was so lovely.
He looked at Corr and raised an eyebrow. The munitions disposal specialist was busy doing some adjustments to his new enhanced prosthetics arms.
‘’You are missing all the scenery, ner vod.’’ he smirked.
‘’ I took mental notes of all the exits and potential dangers, place to hide and...’’ Corr stiffed at first but frowned at the lieutenant's expression.
‘’ Not that… them.’’ he pointed discreetly at the beauties in battle sign language.
‘’ What about them? ‘’ he replied with the proper signs.
‘’ They are cuties, that's it. Corr, relax. Not everything is about soldiering, you know? Sometimes you just have to appreciate the moment.‘’
‘’ Oh… okay! Yeah, you are right, they are easy on the eyes for sure! ‘’ the trooper said before returning to his tinkering.
Mereel sighed and sat closer to his brother.
‘’ Do you… feel salty? ’’
‘’ About what? ’’ Corr said ‘’ I miss my brothers if that's what you are asking for. More than my arms.’’
‘’ Nah… I was talking about Ordo. He pretty much stole your girlfriend! ’’
‘’ Did he? It’s not really a surprise. I’m just a reg’. Girls don't see us as mate choices, you know. I was lucky enough to have one talking to me and being very nice. Good for him! ‘’
The Null touched his forehead in exasperation.
‘’ You don’t get it. Ord’ika either, thinking of it… You vode are so clueless about those things aren’t you? ‘’
‘’ Pretty much, yeah.’’ Corr answered blankly. ‘’ Where are you going with that? ’’
‘’ Well, what you need to understand is that people don't know we are clones. The only thing they see, is very fit, smart and fine looking lads. That’s attractive to anyone. Trust me. The day I left Kamino, I tried as much as possible my many hypotheses. I wasn't disappointed. ‘’ he said with a grin.
‘’ But you are a Null ARC. I can’t match that. ’’
‘’ With that way of thinking? Yeah sure. You know, we, Null-Class were supposed to be real pieces of trash according to the Kaminiise. According to their logic: Alpha are the crème de la crème, Commandos come in second, white jobs like you at the bottom as cannon fodder. That’s a pile of osik, don't you agree? We need to deconstruct the indoctrination and free ourselves. There is no such thing as Men's hierarchy value in the love business. All socially constructs rules. We might have hatched as clones but we are men nonetheless. We deserve the same. It’s time for you to take your place and get what life owes you, Corr’ika! ’’ the Null said while keeping an eye on the holoboard of the cantina.
A droid-waitress came with two plates and an ale pitcher. After thanking her respectfully, Corr poured himself a glass and drank half of it with a loud exhalation.
‘’ Ok, I’m in. What’s the plan? ‘’ he said, putting his elbows on the table conspiratorially.
‘’ That’s what I like about you Corr, you are very open-minded. Not like that di’kut of Ordo who’ll probably stay a virgin till he marries the shabla girl, I swear. That’s not our path. Life is too short, there is no time to spare. We can hook up with any willing beauty. Fortunately for us, there are plenty who don't know yet they are missing the finest engineered men! You and me, ner vod!’’
‘’ Gotcha, but how do we make that magic happen? ’’
‘’ Yes, love that. But first, do you prefer men or women? ’’
‘’ What? I dunno, women probably? I’m a man. That’s what we are supposed to… Oh right. Social constructs? I get it. I don’t have to be attracted to who I’m EXPECTED to. Hmmm… I don’t mind, I guess? I’ll be happy with anyone who wants me. ‘’
‘’ 4,5 stars! Good, but you missed the part about you being a treat to someone, not a consolation prize! I saw some men trying to get laid by any means. Being too insistent, diminishing themself to get pity attention. Nah. You must show you are available, being authentic, always respecting yourself and your partner. Otherwise you will feel miserable, deep down. You are a Mandalorian. You wear your honor as well as your armor. ’’
‘’ Still, what about that? ’’ sighed Corr as he showed his arms. ‘’ Am I not less of a man with plasteel instead of flesh? ’’
‘’ That, ner vod, is what will make you an UNIQUE lifetime experience! ’’
The trainee sat back and took a bite of his lunch. Deep in his thoughts, he eats his whole meal silently. Mereel wrote something on his ‘pad then looked behind him a few times.
‘’ Never kissed anyone, what will I do if I screw up? ’’ grumbled the former regular trooper.
‘’ Vod. You are a bomb disposal expert. How bad could things be? You are observant and you know when it’s time to bang out. ’’
‘’ Not that much ’’ he said cynically, fidgeting with his prosthetics. ‘’ But I get what you mean. I’ve survived that. I can survive to a ‘no’. I don’t have much to lose. I’ll be on another planet shooting clankers in a minute anyway. ‘’
‘’ You can do better than that. You need to trust your instinct. Actually, what if you let the other person take the lead while you enjoy yourself? ’’
‘’ Yeah I think I can do that. Sounds fun. ’’ said Corr pensively.
‘’ I think you are ready, the only thing missing is finding an opportunity…’’
Suddenly the light flickers and a mechanical voice announced the cancellation of all the flights for the night.
‘’ …Or making it. ’’ whispered the ARC trooper. ‘’ We’ll be stuck for a couple of hours, better make the best of it. ‘’ Then he stood up ‘’ Alright voyagers! All drinks on me till you get bored of it, that’s my brother's last day on leave, anyone wanna hang out with us? ’’
People in the cantina-bar whooped enthusiastically and proceeded to order to their hearts and stomach content. The two lovely looking beings Mereel spotted earlier that day came straight to them. Corr swallowed the rest of the pitcher to hide his nervousness.
‘’ That’s very kind of you, how may we thank you? ‘’ said the first one with a pleasant expression.
‘’ Woah, that’s a thirsty lad! ’’ added the second with a wide smile.
‘’ Yeah and I’m always hungry too, take a seat. ’’ blurted Corr before patting the bench near him.
‘’ I like what I’m hearing here, what a promising night! ’’ replied the second one, sitting and looking at Corr’s arms.’’ Is it some cybernetics to perform special trades? I never saw that model.’’
‘’ Ehhhm, yes! They are highly versatile and precise. The touch is very light. Wanna try? ’’ he said, offering his hand to the handsome traveler beside him.
‘’ Sure! Waitress? A bottle of spotchka please? ’’
Mereel grinned and signed with his hands ‘’ that one is into you, ner vod, you got this! ’’
End

Star Wars - ML setup
See this would change so much because there's no way that anything that shares DNA with Anarka would bow down to the authority of the Empire
Wouldn't change much, as Jango gave the Kaminoans the same exact problem. That's why by the time the Clone Wars started they only had the first 200,000 "units" ready (and going by military parlance, said units would be AT MINIMUM regiments, more likely full legions. Not single troopers), they spent years altering the genes precisely to get clones that followed orders while maintaining initiative. They even had two series of prototypes, the "Null", 20 clones that were basically Jango Fett clones with accelerated aging and would have been terminated early had Kal Skirata, another Mandalorian Supercommando and one of the instructors, not literally adopted them, and the Alpha Class Advanced Recon Commandos, 200 clones with no mental alterations and elevated physical abilities that, once tested, were frozen to be kept in storage for everyone's safety, only to be released as a nasty surprise if whatever enemy the Republic was preparing to fight decided to attack Kamino (the Separatists made an early attack before Grievious got to lead the Droid Armies and were utterly decimated, and after seeing them in action Anakin suggested to have them teach their skills to regs that turned out more independent than normal. When Order 66 was invoked many Alphas just ignored it because they reasoned that whatever the Order's leadership had done their Jedi wasn't on it, and later the ones that survived the war went to become either instructors for the Empire, bounty hunters, or members of what would become the Rebel Alliance).
Rex in fact was originally supposed to be Alpha-17, one of the Alpha that had already appeared in comics with the 501st before the second Clone Wars cartoon started production, but Lucas objected because they already had three main characters whose names started with A (Anakin, Artoo, and Ahsoka), so they created Rex as a graduate of the first class of the ARC Training Program, with Alpha as his instructor (Cody was in the same class). Alpha's fate is unknown, as after he suffered serious leg injuries from Grievous at the start of the Outer Rim Sieges the ship that was to bring him to a medical station was hijacked by Ventress in her final Legends appearance.
Honestly fascinating.
Like once again I forget how much supplemental material there is for Star Wars because.... yeah it's a hell of a fun sandbox(bad word choice considering Anakin)
At this point I care less about the ml au and more about y'all infodumping cool Star Wars facts

The rail class arc troopers and the anti imperial troopers
OK we have the nulls and the alpha class and later due to a star wars game we have the rail class arc troopers and anti imp troopers created by a rogue group to force the empire away. the kamino uprising that the imperial clones had to wipe out I couldn't help but make lore on these guys even with the troopers and arcs before them I couldn't help but feel their lives where different to a point under some circumstance it would create a barrier. I may explain a little later and some alternative lore on them cause we really didn't see to much of these guys

cw: being ordered to die, asphyxiation in space, mind-melding
When a shock trooper or deckhand dies, they're respectfully stripped of augments and shipped home, cold-storage, for a closed-casket funeral. Their family weeps, and somebody in charge speaks about how these times call for bravery and sacrifice.
No such grace is given to pilots. A high-strung thing who's seen too much action gets the call, and you just stop seeing them at mess hall. If you're lucky, they get the news delivered in the bunks, so you can hug them tight and say goodbye.
Everybody knows the name: Autophage Process. We don't talk about it. But she knew it was only a matter of time, after that disastrous last deployment. Nothing to be done now.
Her comm chimed at 1100 hours. "Report to August Bell, effective immediate. Initiate Autophage Process." Took them long enough. There was nothing to be done, no place to hide on a light carrier like this. She took the stairs, avoiding the bunks. Better not to talk to anybody.
There was the Bell in its hanger, as beautiful as the day she'd first been given it to pilot. A Gratia-class air-mobility frame: four 130mm railcannons and shoulder-mounted batteries of smart-missiles. Trailing streamers of smartcloth for preternatural grace in atmosphere, dual thruster banks for unmatched power in space.
Bell extended a hand and opened its cockpit. It won't be so bad, she thought. Midshipmen tell lots of stories about pilots--why should this one be any more truthful? She slid into the harness, clipped her boots onto the footpetals, and slammed the hatch shut.
Darkness.
"August Bell, this is Pilot Cantrell. Initiate connection!"
And then the blinding light of sensors, of being, blazed across her nerves. Her legs twitched against their docking clamps, her smartcloth wings ached to soar. Fuck.
In her mind, the mech's voice. Pilot Cantrell. We will begin the Autophage Process soon. Perhaps you would like to run one more training exercise first, to calm your nerves?
She signaled assent, though she knew the frame would be reading her confusion and desperation as well. There's no point putting on a brave face to a mech.
I'm gonna miss you, Bell. A stupid thing to say. A billion times too small to say what she meant.
A training program loaded on her HUD, a simple maneuverability exercise. Ten gates, get through them all as fast as possible. The docking clamps released, the launch sequence began, and then the Bell threw itself out of the hangar and into null-G.
She forgot the dread in an instant, as she focused everything on the practiced movements. Through gate one, then kick off the carrier's hull to redirect to gate two.
It wasn't until gate 3 that she realized anything was wrong. Distantly, her base implants chimed. Oxygen. Oxygen. Oxygen. Confused, she mismanaged the thruster banks and nearly overshot the gate.
She tried to pick out her original senses amidst the sea of Bell's analytics. There were... stars? Shit. The cockpit hatch was open. She was--yes, the senses from her body were returning now. The air was being pulled from her lungs. Her tongue was swollen and tasted of blood. Her eyes--
Pilot Cantrell. Focus on the mission.
She wanted to scream, but no air came. She struggled with her harness, but her fingers were swollen and clumsy. Fuck.
It is critical that you focus on the mission. The mech said it with such certainty. She wanted to believe it.
Hell, she reasoned. It's not like i could do anything at this point.
30 seconds of hard vacuum and you were done for--a fact every recruit knew. Frostbitten hands gripped the joysticks and she dove back in, searching for the August Bell's sensorium.
They were cruising towards the fourth gate, picking up speed. She reoriented, curving a smooth arc towards the fifth. Focus on the mission. She trusted Bell.
Distantly, she felt her hands twitching, her neck lolling in the seat in response to the g-forces. Her legs were reduced to a prickling pins-and-needles sensation. Gate six. Gate seven.
There was no sensation from her body anymore. Idly, she wondered how long her brain would stay linked before it, too, was too frozen and oxygen-starved to function. Could she at least get the satisfaction of completing the exercise?
Without knowing why, she pulled up short of the next gate.
Her mech spoke. The mission is complete. There is just one thing left to do.
She understood. She reached gently into her cockpit, and pulled out her pilot--an ugly, swollen thing, blood quickly turning an ugly color under the skin. A body that was not built for vacuum like she was.
But it had served her well, in an ungainly way, hadn't it. She had fought for that body, and it had taken her through school dances, through basic training, through a few disastrous and short-lived relationships. It hardly seemed right to abandon it without ceremony.
The others--she was starting to feel them now--assented, and she ripped a small piece of her smartcloth to enfold the body. Pilots don't get funerals, she knew. But she could offer that body some grace, at least. They watched it drift away in silence.
.....
The new pilot was tense. E clutched the joysticks tightly, and they could all feel that e was shaking. E tried eir best to keep a steady voice on the radio. "August Bell, ready for atmospheric entry!" Then, the sudden roar of noise and light as they slammed into the atmosphere, plasma lighting up their smartcloth.
Somebody needed to calm em down. She spoke.
Pilot Das, there is no need to be worried. We're going to be incredible.
The lanky novice let out a shaky breath, but relaxed eir grip. "This is going to take some getting used to."
E doesn't know the half of it, she thought.

Muunilist ten between engagements for the WIP game?
So this was intended to be for Fordo week last october but i got too busy and my muse abandoned me. Maybe I will have it done in time for next year!
I love Fordo, and moment in the 2003 show right after CT-43/002 gets killed and he goes berserk with a railgun lives in my head constantly. That kind of unit camaraderie, the loyalties between and closeness of a group of soldiers who did not choose each other but unavoidably live on top of each other, is what I wanted to write about.
The Muunilinst 10 on screen count actually varies between 9-19 and includes distinct classes of troopers (ARCs artillery and infantry) so I was filling out their ranks.
We know Fordo was their highest clone officer, as a Captain, and he had Lieutenant Stec under him. I think Seventeen was there as well, before he worked with Kenobi, before he got hurt and sent back to Kamino to train more ARCs, also a LT. There were I believe a couple more ARCs who I hadn’t filled the slots for.
Able-472 was a callsign for an artilleryman, and of course the casualty, CT-43/002 was infantry. My artist OC fic took place in a temporary Muunilinst 10 barracks, so Walk-Away, Roach, Driver, and Granted were going to make another appearance. Nulls helped train some spec-ops, so I assigned Copyright to Jaing and/or Prudii, even though they are probably not appearing.
And despite the fact that this unit served with a variety of Jedi Generals (Kenobi, Windu, Mundi, Yoda) I wanted to give them a “permanent” Jedi, Jon Antilles.
They routinely face Ventress, Grievous, and Durge.
Despite the focus on battle scenes in the 2003 show, I wanted to focus more on the between times you don’t see, the recovery and readiness, grief and care. The mundane things.
It will hopefully end up a short fic, but I do all this background work of who knows who and what their training is, what action they’ve seen, etc., to try and help it feel more real, have depth.
Just needed some more time to marinate, I guess!

how attack of the clones is going in this fic, so far, going up the scale from 'this is fine' to 'this is fine (actually everything is on fire)':
lene kostana: the chillest. furthest from the action, has no idea what happened on coruscant, observing the red honeycomb zone. left padawan with jocasta nu to supervise. beginning to have a bad feeling about this. darth sidious: lightly alert for anything that could be a threat to his plans. has an ace up his sleeve that's going to cause problems for everyone except himself. kal skirata: apparently here, instead of being content with being passed a message. bribeable with snacks for his boys. may have been told 'i don't know. sit on him?' when asking 'how am i supposed to keep a jetii from doing something?' obi-wan kenobi: rumpled and confused. was sat upon by several of kal's boys (null-class arc troopers) so he wouldn't go to geonosis. did not get any uj cake. constant receptor of the 'i'm watching you' gesture from kal. anakin skywalker: has killed only three sand people! congratulations, anakin! you are the only one being fixed! qui-gon jinn: woken up from coma by anakin using the force like it's his livejournal c. 2002. without using a cut. has no idea what's been going on for the last decade. politely baffled. jocasta nu: is going to hunt darth tyranus for sport on eriadu. they allow that sort of thing there. darth tyranus: regretting several key life choices, most recently deciding to mind-probe araithana. currently dealing with 1) being shown how he dies, 2) being forcibly reminded of That Murder, 3) thinking his current guest-hostage also has visions. araithana pallopides: nebulous hostage, claimed as guest. moved all the moveable furniture in darth tyranus's geonosian tower by 3cm to the left and back. also regretting darth tyranus's life choices. unknowingly repeating sifo-dyas's exact last words before That Murder. and prom the geonosis accord meeting is tomorrow!
i'm going to go back to writing between the ice crypt trip and introducing anakin skywalker to pre-republic plays with a droid chorus, which concludes with:
The Chorus continues as a harried Knight Kenobi arrives and is promptly bullied into playing the Indrexu to Skywalker’s Xim, my Oziaf, and Aayla’s Xer, much to Master Windu’s sly amusement. By the end of our recitation, Aayla has decided that Xer is now haunting the play by heckling the patricidal Xim through mispronouncing his name on purpose, there’s an audience of nearly two dozen people, Master Windu has vanished back to his duties, and Betsy has never missed a line.
betsy (the chorus) is a b1 commander droid confiscated after the battle of naboo. betsy does not have a preferred gender other than 'it', has been reprogrammed by the temple's research and development department, and is now subject to many experiments to see how capable of learning it is.
#keeping up with the skywalkers#the star wars isekai fic#for fic accountability#i have now rewritten the kamino-geonosis parts three times!#it was one of the first pieces i did for this story and i had about 25% knowledge of everything that led up to this point#then i rewrote it a few months later#and now i'm doing this version after writing somewhere around 70 000 words in this universe#because my brain decided 'yes we wrote happy ice crypt trip now time for 5000 words of PAIN'#i blame the 2-hour long incident of BURNING IN MY OESOPHAGUS caused by my sertraline

Book Review! Star wars the Clone wars vol 1 “The Defense of Kamino”
The book Star wars the Clone wars vol 1 “The Defense of Kamino” was published on July 9th 2003 by Dark Horse comics and was written by John Ostrander, Haden Blackman, and Scott Allie. The novel was made in conjunction with the Star Wars the clone wars 2003 micro series, the novel was made to further add to the clone wars story that was being created for the first time in order to serve as a bridge between the second and third movies. Unfortunately since the book is considered part of the micro series it is not considered canon in the star wars universe as well as the rest of the micro series. However it is considered to be part of the legends version of star wars canon and is still referenced by the star wars community in discussion of the legends version of star wars lore. The novel is well known for its introduction of the famous Alpha and Null class ARC Troopers which were some of the original clones created as prototypes before the commonly and widely created normal clone trooper. Without going into spoiler territory the novel does a fantastic job presenting these elite arc troopers for the first time and does an excellent job portraying them as top of the line super soldiers who in all likelihood could change the course of the war on their own. Furthermore the drawings in this book do an excellent job of painting the arc troopers in an even greater light to demonstrate their superiority to normal clones as the novel draws normal clones to be somewhat muscular but not enough that it would affect their armor. The novel draws the arcs in a way to show they are physically stronger by giving them armor with outlines of their enormous muscles to give a look of super strength that would rival the strongest men on earth today. This novel was so well written and was so impactful that it was adapted by Dave Filoni into the Star Wars the Clone Wars Series and became one of the most prominent and highest rated episodes of the entire series. In my opinion I wish this book were considered cannon as it is incredibly well written and adds some of my favorite characters to the series being the impregnable and elite arc troopers. However that will sadly never happen.

Some personal thoughts that I would put in the tags but they are too long
We shouldn’t forget that the clones spent like 9 or 10 years on Kamino! (source: Rex joking he’s ten but tall for his age in the clone wars movie, which is set towards the beginning of the war)
This means they had a whole ten years to develop a world view on Kamino! Whether it be from how their training / lives are, or culture from their trainers (because even if they didn’t have Mando trainers, the domino squad episodes in clone wars show that they still have non kaminoan trainers), there is still tons of stuff in those ten years that could have influenced their beliefs
Additionally, ppl in this thread keep saying the Karen Travis novels are the source for all clones being mando (or at least implying that) which is not true! As someone who grew up with the clone wars TV show as their one and only Star Wars, then read the Karen Travis novels in a desperate attempt to get more clone wars content (before discovering fan fic), the novels are much more specific
What happens in the novels is that there are three sets of “trial” clones before the baseline clones we see in canon
There are the Nulls, who are almost pure clones of Jango with few alterations. This makes them too “crazy” / not docile enough, and also means half of them die before they are decanted, leaving six who are alive. Because of all this they are deemed failures / nulls, and are set to be decommissioned before the mando trainer Kal Skirata saves and trains them
The Alphas, who are a slightly more altered clones of Jango. There are 100 of them, and Jango personally trains them to be ARC troopers (the books create a distinction between Alpha class ARCs and arcs trained during the war by Alpha-17, saying the original ARCs are superior). These clones are still deemed to be not docile enough by Kaminoan standards, so they create another variant of clone
The clone commandos are the final batch of clones before the regular clones, and are deemed a success. They make 10,000 of them, which means one sub-batch of 100 is given to each of the 100 outside trainers that Jango brought in. All three of these trial batches are trained to work in covert ops, but while the nulls and alphas were trained to work completely alone, the commandos work in groups of four, and train with that same group of four for their whole time on Kamino (unless a batch member dies in training or is decommissioned)
Speaking of those 100 outside trainers, only 75 of them were mando! The other 25 were various other cultures, mainly concordian. This is because true mando culture is dying out in favor of new mando pacifism, so Jango can only find 75 fighting mandos who agree to disappear from their previous lives to train top secret clones on Kamino for ten years
So, only the three trial batches are ever exposed to mando culture, and some of the commandos are assigned to non-mando trainers, and not all mando trainers see the clones as human who therefore deserve culture, so really only a some clones from these three trial batches end up mando
And then that leaves the entire rest of the non-trial clones without mando trainers (I think it was implied they were just trained by the Kaminoans) so they definitely don’t learn mando culture! The books make this very clear and use the regs lack of mando knowledge to further separate the the regs and the trial batches
So in conclusion, all clones being mando / familiar with mando culture is completely fanon! While it got its start with the Karen Travis novels, it as been distorted to become what it is now
Why is half the fandom now under the impression that Cody’s “actual name” is Kote? I know it’s a fun headcanon that got really popular, but the two don’t even sound that alike (based on the way Kote is pronounce in Vode An).
It’s Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe erasure!
#I personally prefer mando clones over Jedi clones though#just because of what I mentioned at the beginning#like they had a whole ten years to develop their own thing#to assume the majority of them didn’t do that or tossed that aside once they met the Jedi just seems dehumanizing#and I’m tired of encountering fics that basically are just Jedi worship/think they Jedi are the best thing ever#like from a ‘whos the main character main’ standpoint not a moral standpoint#especially when they are tagged with tons of clones#because they don’t focus on all the clones they tagged just the Jedi#another reason I don’t like Jedi clones is I just plain don’t like the Jedi#like whenever a clone wars episode focused on the Jedi and not the clones I would be so annoyed#I would much rather focus on the clones lol#I just wasn’t excited by the Jedi

A space dad and his favorite son.
I took some liberties with their armors. I made a mix of the canon ARC armor and the official representations I could find for Ordo. And I did whatever I wanted with Kal, because I can't imagine he wears the exact same armor as Jango but in gold. Added his Bantha jacket too, because it's implied he wears it on his armor (in this scene in Triple Zero where Darman is on fire).
Rough sketch under the cut.

Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos were the first clones produced in the Grand Army of the Republic. Possessing advanced characteristics that made them physically superior to later clones, only six of them existed, and were deemed failures by the Kaminoans.

Clone Intelligence units were created by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars and consisted of different types of clones for information gathering missions on Separatist activities. Clone types included the early-though-rare Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos and the more numerous clone shadow troopers. Early in the war, the Clone Intelligence units were too few to be truly useful, forcing the Republic to rely on the Bothan Spynet and other intelligence agencies. During this time, Clone Intelligence was known to had reported directly to the Jedi Council.[1]

Mando'a Dialects in- and out-of-universe
Outgame (irl) there are several different versions of Mandoʻa: The Shadows of the Empire Soundtrack version (Notron Cant), the Republic Commando Soundtrack version (Jesse Harlin's text), the Old Republic version (as seen in SWtOR or KotOR), the Republic Commando Novels version (Karen Traviss' version), the Mandoa.org version (their forum members made up a lot of extra vocabulary), several different tumblr versions, and the Disney version (as in the TV-series Star Wars Rebels). They all have distinctive similarities (the Notron Cant is an exception), but unfortunately, they also all somewhat differ. Since Karen Traviss published her Mandoʻa version online, complete with a dictionary, the Mandoa.org version and most tumblr versions are based on her version. Her version in turn is vaguely based on Jesse Harlin's version-the first Mandoʻa on file, so to say. I myself see them as different dialects or development stages of the same language.
See, Karen Traviss' Mandoʻa and also most of Mandoa.org's Mandoʻa uses Basic (i.e. English) grammar with a Mandalorian vocabulary, so I call that version Soldiers' Pidgin. It's obviously (ingame) a creole language that came into existence after the Mandalorian diaspora. It is this Soldiers' Pidgin that Kal Skirata taught his children (the Nulls) and possibly also the language that the Alphas taught other, younger clones (e.g. the CC class or the ARC-troopers) as a "secret" language to hide from the Kaminoans. If it was used by the clones in such a way, the GAR should have its own dialect. The different internet versions of Mandoʻa all seem to be based on Karen Traviss' dictionary, so I see them as different dialects of the Soldiers' Pidgin. The same reasoning can be applied to Disney's Mandoʻa.
The language of Vode An, Graʻtua Cuun, Darasuum Kote, etc. on the other hand uses a grammar that differs from Basic. It is an older form of Mandoʻa, probably the Mandoʻa spoken on Mandaʻyaim before the Excision - seven-hundred years ago. It's a lot more interesting (for me, at least). I propose calling it Classic Mandoʻa. It has its own grammar; it has a similar vocabulary as Soldiers' Pidgin, but with distinct and sometimes varying pronunciations (sometimes depending on the rhyme or rhythm of the song); it has a lot of epitaphs and kennings and references and can have very flowery phrasing. It's used, in or around the time of Palpatine's Empire, predominantly in older songs and poems. An irl-equivalent could be Shakespearean English.
We can probably view the (archaic) tOR version as vaguely translated into modern Mandoʻa (Soldiers' Pidgin, probably) since there is exactly no way that the language changes so little in over 3000 years. I also propose that the Basic back then has very few similarities to the Basic that's spoken during the Skywalker Wars.
Missing is a sort of current, modern version of Classic Mandoʻa. I think that is (sadly) very realistic. A society that is so broken up by something like orbital bombardment would likely, over the centuries, develop several different creole versions and try to keep their original language as unchanged as possible, leading to exactly the combination described above.

Theory:
Clone Force 99, Omega, and Emerie Karr are the 6 Null ARCs embryos that "died" from Republic Commando.
Note: This post will be connected to another theory post I'm writing about Palpatine's failures in cloning.
Proof:
1. CF99 refused Order 66. Crosshair shot Lt. Nolan. Emerie helped release Crosshair. We don't even need to talk about Omega.
Null ARCs are well known to be independent thinkers and resistant to command.
From Wookipedia:
When the Kaminoans began cloning, they produced twelve prototypes, designated as Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos. Their extreme physiological modifications killed half of the prototypes during gestation. The "enhancements" to the Fett genome handicapped the survivors with erratic behavior and an inclination toward disobedience, making their loyalties unpredictable. Kal Skirata, a Mandalorian warrior who had been brought to Kamino to assist in the training of a special unit, concurred with the Kaminoans' rationale behind "modified" troopers; an "unaltered" Jango Fett was not the ideal infantry soldier. Disappointed with the unsatisfactory results of their wayward creations, the Kaminoans deemed 12 of the first 100 prototypes complete failures and intended to kill them
They're also very loyal to those who are loyal to them.
Other regular commandos followed Order 66.
2. In Republic Commando, the Kaminoan scientist Orun Wa created the Null ARCs. This is what he said about them:
Highly intelligent, deviant, disturbed—and uncommandable.
In Season 1, Episode 1, Tech says this when AZI says they're defective clones:
We're more deviant than defective.
3. The living Null ARCs numbers and the "dead" Null ARC embryos' numbers.
N-5 ("Prudii")
N-6 ("Kom'rk")
N-7 ("Mereel")
N-10 ("Jaing")
N-11 ("Ordo")
N-12 ("A'den")
Missing are Ns 1-4, and Ns 8 & 9.
Clone Force 99s designations are likely CT-9901-9904. We know that Crosshair is CT-9904. They are Ns 1-4, respectively.
Omega is N-9. She's the last experimental clone Nala Se took for her experimental unit.
That leaves Emerie Karr as N-8.
4. Omega is a defective clone, and it has nothing to do with her being an unaltered clone.
Nala Se also says she's a defective clone to Tarkin. She specifically tells him that five genetically defective clones are all that remain. This excludes Echo. He wasn't genetically defective. This also excludes Emerie Karr. She's with Dr. Hemlock by this point in time.
If Omega is one of the Null ARCs, she wasn't created unaltered. She was created with accelerated aging like all the others.
Her accelerated aging is broken. She's not older than the rest of CF99. She's the same age.
I suspect she started out aging rapidly, like 99. That was Omega's genetic defect. She remembers everyone else in the tubes but being outside of them herself.
Omega was an experiment too. Nala Se figured out how to turn off accelerated aging to keep her from aging too fast.
This also mirrors Republic Commando. The Kaminoans at one point knew how to slow aging. Kina Ha is proof of that. She was engineered for long hyperspace journeys, but those never came to pass. That particular trait wasn't really needed anymore after that and was abandoned.
Slowing down the aging of clones isn't a good idea for the Kaminoans financially, after all. You want your buyers to keep buying.
(I also find it interesting that both Nala Se and Ko Sai had hidden underwater research labs).
All of Ko Sai's research was destroyed by Ordo (to Ko Sai's knowledge, anyway. They kept a copy). Nala Se's research would have been destroyed with Kamino, except a living copy remains. Omega.
Omega only appears unaltered because her broken genetic defect was fixed.
Nala Se theoretically knows how to slow/stop aging, and Omega is a genetic template for that.
5. Probably the flimsiest proof. Delta Squad exists in canon.
It's not out of the question to believe that Omega Squad and the Null ARCs could be pulled into canon as well.
I'm personally interested to see if Bo-Katan gathers any Legends Mandalorian clans. If any Clan Skirata members show up that could help this theory.
