I didn't think I'd draw more of this but it also won't leave my mind....
AJ's the first to go!!
Let's look at the stages:
Stage 0: Healthy, normal, AJ is strong and we love her
Stage 1: Harvest Season started and AJ discovered a strange bruise on her chest.
It couldn't mean much though, she must have brushed past a tree or some wood and irritated the skin. It happens. Apples must be harvested!
Stage 2: The bruise is spreading and somehow she's getting clumsier. She keeps falling over the littliest things and one time Bic Mac had to get her out of a tree.
A tree! How she managed to get stuck there by her hind hoof is still a mystery to her (but are the apples sweeter these days? She ought to ask Granny Smith)
Stage 3: Whatever the bruise is, it's not leaving and taking on big proportions. Her clumsiness doesn't go away and she keeps ponies where her friends are.
She'd rather eat the apples than harvest them and...why does Twilight keep visiting her? Twilight is asking her the strangest questions and..isn't she supposed to do something?
Surely, if it was important, she would remember.
Stage 4: AJ is gone and keeps insisting on being called Applejack.
She doesn't recognize the big pony in the mirror and her hair is too long. Sparkler keeps having a fit that she cut it but she feels better now.
Her body still feels to big but it's alright, she can knock all the apples out of the trees as she wants now! It's also quite a delight to find these sweet little ponies around her who call her sister and let her lie between the apple trees. Truly, despite the weird behavior around her, she's quite happy where she is!
-----------
They keep her at the apple farm to have an eye on her. She's the first one Twilight tries out her possible cures but so far nothing worked.
If only Celestias notes wouldn't be so confusing these days.
----
So I have an idea for Celestia too but still not sure if I'll draw more haha.
Love it tho!

in the midst of discovering your centaur riders (which I think are super cool!!) I discovered your oc Irah and like,, i'm in love and am so curious in regards to Irah's backstory, especially with the whole digestion problem thing that sounds sucky D:
OH GOSH I’m so happy you’re enjoying them!! But are you ready for the info-dump? because oh boy just like everything else related to centaurs I have thought far too much about them!!
Tumblr media
Irah is not the oldest centaur character I have but he/they are definitely up there! And he’s certainly the most interesting of my main little herd, as one of the only plot points I’ve figured out is them and their handmaiden/guard Han co-opting Sunny and Clyde to help escape from the cult he was raised in as an earthly avatar of their (minor) deity due to his color (or lack therof) at birth.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately also due to his color he really shouldn’t be alive. I based a lot of his character off of the very sad fact that true white horses are exceedingly rare due to something called Lethal White Syndrome which in the real world generally kills any pure white foal days after their birth due to a completely non-functioning colon. (most horses we see and call white are actually called grey or cremello and have some grey or cream tint to them or are born dark)
I won’t get into my ideas on centaur eating mechanics and diet (yet..) but suffice to say not getting any use from that giant horse gut causes a lot of problems. And basically in Irah’s case the human half of his digestive system has to keep his whole huge body sustained, and that means it’s a tricky thing sometimes to just keep up with basic energy requirements- much less when he was younger and growing. So he basically deals with a lot of fatigue/low energy and has occasional flareups that can incapacitate and make him sick.
Tumblr media
So he deals with a lot but he is also definitely a big pampered baby who’s far too used to being treated like a god on earth and usually only Han can stand up to his tantrums, but he’s learning now that he’s gotten out of that environment. They were raised as a godly avatar, basically above gender? And while they don’t believe in their own divinity anymore they are still happy being very fluid when it comes to gender expression. More than anything else in the world they love dancing and dramatic arts. After that it’s luxury goods and Han.
Tumblr media
ok. that’s probably too much but gosh I love thinking about centaurs and my OC’s..

I LOVE MAHINA PLEASE GIMME SOME RANDOM FACTS ABOUT HER LIKE HOW TALL WAS SHE FAVORITE LEAST FAVORITE FOOD WAS SHE AFRAID OF INSTECTS DID SHE LIKE FLUFFY MIHAWK HAT DID SHE PLAN ON HAVING KIDS BEFORE HER DEAL WITH MANU HOW MANY SWORDS DID SHE MAKE DOES SHE LIKE COLD WEATHER OR DOES SHE HAS COLD FEET BIG SPOON OR LITTLE SPOON DID MIHAWK AND HER HAD A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP OR PLATONIC IF SHE GOT TO LIVE WHAT WOULD HER GREATEST SWORD LOOK LIKE DID SHE HAVE A FAVORITE COLOR thanks and sorry ilovya!
HAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THIS MAHINA LOVE, I LOVE HER AND MANU TOO OKAY THANK YOU FOR LOVING THEM
I know sometimes stories that get too bogged down with OCs can turn some people away, but I’m really happy and thankful and GLAD you guys liked them so much ;-;
(I have to be wary of spoilers, but here you go!)
Mahina
- Her favorite food was grilled seafood, specifically the best kinds you could eat skewered. Her least favorite is anything too sweet. She likes kalo berries more than kiionohi because they have a more subtle favor and nutrients.
- Insects don’t bother her! Mahina was always the kind of woman who could shove her hands into a hole in the ground to find good ores and pull them out covered in worms and creepy-crawlers but she just brushed them off.
- She was particularly fond of the birds and the horses that were native to Artopoki. The cremellos and palaminos that live there are wild horses, but many are painted with different coming of age markings because from time to time, a Pokian will live beside the herd and slowly try to form a bond with one horse, build a working relationship with it and in a sense, “ask” it for services for however long before releasing it back into the wild. It was customary to paint your marking somewhere on the horse to show you owed it a life and debt. (The horses with more markings are especially proud because they feel they’ve done a good service)
- She loved the flowers of Artopoki, especially the sea lotuses. (They grow in small, still lulls of seawater along the island coast or on sandy shores) They tended to grow white but could inherit the color of something around them.
- They were her favorite flower to carve into her markings and Mau’s original guard was in the shape of one until she changed it to a star shaped guard when she planned to give it to Hoku.
- Her mother passed away giving birth to her and her father was a man of the forge who worked himself to death and drank a lot, he never hurt her though or treated her particularly bad, they just were never very close. Mahina grew up around fire and brimstone and the heat of metal, and she was more of an apprentice to him than a daughter. He did leave her with some valuable skills and parting words she kept with her.
- She and Manu are childhood friends, they’ve known each other since birth. She thinks Manu’s drawings are always the best.
- Manu’s brother wanted to marry her once, she told him if he could ever kill her in a sword fight she’d do it. (He never could.)
- Many Pokians advise against the practice/habit but it wasn’t uncommon for rowdier, wilder Pokians to bet a life on the sake of something. Mahina was one of the rowdier ones.
- “If that sword breaks on you, you can cut me down.”
- Mahina was considered one the greatest weapon crafters Artopoki had seen in a long time. Her weapons were classes and grades above others but specifically her swords. They thought her father taught her some kind of skill, but Mahina says, “The forge and the metal were the first voices I ever heard.”
- She developed her own coating technique. Every Pokian who coats uses different mixtures based on their blood they make themselves, but hers were on another level.
- Women of Artopoki tend to lean toward crafting and the forge while the men were actually often more inclined to be artists, both work places and schools were always fairly even, but there tended to be a bit more of the other respectively.
- Mahina was the type of Pokian to have more feline features (sharper canines, very agile movements and balance, the gold in her eyes tended to be an almost feline-like slit) some Pokians tended to inherit that trait but they’re not really sure of reasons but they have speculative sayings like, “More of the goddess in that one.” or “You’ve got her touch.”
- She loves Mihawk’s hat. Originally it didn’t come with the plume and she found it and felt like it really completed the look. He never said no.
- The cross-knife was one of the first things she ever forged for Mihawk, he wore it with him always and preferred not to use it. When Mahina had to return to Artopoki, he gave it back to her to hold onto and when they met again, she gave it back to him.
- She and Mihawk traveled together for many years while both building names for themselves, they had to find funds to make their travels around and often set up shop like the scene with her and Tsuru where Mahina would sell weapons and swords and Mihawk would demonstrate how well they cut.
- They’ve traveled to many places, I wonder where?
- Mahina is a few years older than Mihawk!
- Was it romantic or platonic? Mmm, this question has been asked many times and I’ll answer like always by not really answering--they were very close and each other’s greatest friends, they trusted each other more than anyone else. Partners through and through.
- Mahina never really thought about having kids but she didn’t mind the idea, her swords were always her children first.
- Mahina is terrible with cold weather but Manu always seemed to move just fine in it.
- How many swords? Hahahaha I wonder...
- I guess she’s the big spoon? She always fell asleep with her head against her swords and the swords in her arms.
- Mahina was the more easy-going parent. Manu was usually the stricter one between the two and more ferocious and protective, Mahina’s the kinda mom that would let her four-year-old hold her swords and sit next to her while she sharpened them.
- Her favorite color is any shade of metal.
- She was never sure what the greatest sword would ever look like, she figured she’d know when the time came for her to make it, but she did know what she wanted to name it and the epithet she wanted it to carve and cut for itself.
- She wanted to name it Hoku. A sword that could cut through stars.

Realized that I never posted this to my art blog, but have Yet Another OC I accidentally ended up with, Aspen. He’s some undefined variety of Unseelie fae from probably the Canadian rockies or somewhere, trying to investigate a mysterious dark force on a small island populated by humans but controlled by the Seelie court, the king of which happens to be his estranged ex. And now he has a horse. He did not at any point intend to become the owner of a horse, but it happened nonetheless.
He’s in the same story universe as those two waterhorses I posted a while back; he’s friends with the cremello and they bond over their shared love of bitching about minor inconveniences that they kind of bring on themselves.

Ypsilon 15, 23, 24!
15) Does your oc have a horse/other mount? A pet? How did they get this animal? If they were given the animal, do they have the money to maintain it? How careful/careless are they with their animal? What do they do with their pets while adventuring, especially on dangerous quests?
Ypsilon doesn’t have a mount early on, but I like to think when they’re older and have their 3 kids (now its necessary to have some more transportation), they’d have a big, old horse. Either a blue roan paint or a cremello draft horse. I like to think that this horse is old and retired and can’t go too fast, but is still good for holding kids or supplies. They would’ve likely adopted it or bought it if it was for sale! I don’t think they’d bring it along for adventuring or being on quests! This is a mount for calmness and they’re careful to keep it out of trouble.
They also have a hawk! Her name is Courier. Ypsilon got her when they found her caught in a trap by her wing, but they nursed her back to health. They’re very careful with Courier, but she’s well trained! Courier usually just flies above ahead when out in the field- especially if it’s a wide open space. When in caverns and caves or dungeons, Courier will remain in a safe location outside. Usually though, Courier remains at home, and nests in the trees around Ypsilon’s home.
23) Can your oc swim, and how well? Have they ever swam in the ocean, or only lakes/rivers? Remember, it’s much harder to swim in the ocean than in a lake!
Ypsilon can swim, but not the greatest. They’re not a big fan of the water, and getting them into water can prove difficult, in fact they won’t go in it at all. However, if they were suddenly submerged, they’d likely swim to the surface really quickly. If the surface and water is icy though, they may just freeze up due to fear and drown :
They’ve swam in the ocean, but it was likely it wasn’t a willing swim.
24) How easy/difficult is it to rob your oc? Pickpocket? Bribe?
I think it could be easy it rob Ypsilon due to the fact that they’re a hoarder and wouldn’t know if something was taken immediately. However if it was something important to them, they’d likely hunt the person who robbed them. (Robbing means houses and locations not off their person here I’m assuming?)
Pickpocketing is harder, definitely. Due to them being a thief and having picked their share of pockets, they’re likely alert enough to not get pickpocketed.
Bribing doesn’t go too well because they don’t care about coin. They could get bribed with items, but it’d have to be very, very unique items.

Thank you so much for the ask!!!!

Pest and Arlo
Just some oc fun facts.
Arlo is actually cremello in color, sort of a light cream, not that Pest would know lmao.
Arlo isn’t a specific breed of pony, just a stocky sort of mutt. They have long ears (four of them) that give them a great sense of hearing.
Pest is nearly entirely blind, she can differentiate between night and day, but her eyes are almost completely destroyed.
Pest’s behavior and speech patterns resemble a bird more than a person. Her voice is gravelly, and she mostly repeats phrases to communicate.
