Swing! (1973) is Beyond the Opera’s second studio album and second album to be released under Helpline records. Considered one of the band’s least popular albums, with only one of the singles, a cover of Bobby Darin’s Dream Lover breaching the UK top 100. It also featured a cover of the Isley Brother’s Shout. Later on it was considered an influential glam rock album, developing the style and furthering the influence of 1950s rock. Most of the songs on Swing! fall into either the glam rock genre or bubblegum rock. It was proceeded with Fascination of the World (1972) and Renaissance Revolution (1974).

I wanted to explore BTO’s side profiles, which developed into an album cover lol. The makeup is what they would’ve worn on the tour for the album. They were on Top of the Pops for Dream Lover and some late night American shows. The album’s in universe inspirations come from black artists of the late 50s, which was mainly the music Claude listened to. The record was deemed poor quality by many critics due to its rushed nature and the fact that most of the album was made up of covers of other artists as opposed to original compositions. The record was the second in a three album contract with Helpline, it was made in about 3 months with pressure from the studio and record label.

During this time Claude married his first wife Lillian Stein and had his first child James. Tommie and Esther’s relationship is continuing to develop as Esther’s marriage becomes rockier and rockier. Joanna and Claude continue to explore their relationship, even while Claude is with Lillian. Esther is 28, her husband John is 29, and her son Emmett is 2. Tommie is 24 and Joanna is 26. Claude is 25, his wife Lillian is 25, and his son is born in 1973.

Hi! I really like what I've seen of Division 6, what can you tell me about em? They seem really cool :D

I won't go into TOO much detail about them, as that would be too much to fit into a single post, so here's the general rundown of WHO and WHAT they are!

Division 6 is one of the 7 church groups in a cursed town called Sunsbrooke - one that has had its connection to God completely severed due to advanced magic that was being used to allow creatures of hell to manifest in the waking world. as a consequence, almost nothing can enter or leave the town, as it loops infinitely back on itself. effectively shutting them in with the consequences of their actions.

The Church of The Abandoned, as part of the Condemned Ministry, established itself as a governmental entity, out of the many years of madness and anarchy that followed The Severing. and whatever folk remained just sortof blindly followed along with the remaining semblance of organized leadership that they had.

Divisions are an extension of the church given out to the layman, and most were recruited through a process known as the 'Discipleship Program' .

Division 6 is a division specifically designed to study and observe the effects of soul-splitting (exactly what it sounds like) on real people, with a submission of crippling cultist activity, by any means necessary.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of sects of religions and practice that most would view as satanic or immoral cropped up during the many years of anarchy, and with powerful magic being a contract and handshake away? who WOULDN'T want to give up their lives for a taste of that power.

These members are given access to BOTH suites of magic - holy and hell, something that has never been attempted since The Severing. through hard possession, one angel, and one Baphomet in each respective half of their soul. Something thought impossible, since angels are known for completely scorching the internals of all the cursed and impure vessels with souls unprepared to receive them. effectively killing their hosts.

And now, the church sits watching with bated breath. Waiting to see what will come of these 12 young adults. They've funneled a lot of resources into them, preparing them from birth, adoption, or just the tiniest spark of faith for their mission: purify Sunsbrooke, and reestablish their link to the heavens.

Ophir, The Maiden, was the final and most recent addition to the team, which has been running cult-crippling operations out of the church for almost a year now. She possesses the strongest connection to an Angel ever observed in all the years of the Ministry.

And so they sit as this militant group for their government, fighting for their faith, their friends, or whatever they have left.

Franklin just watched as you tried blowing the piece of hair out of your eyesight. He traced your forehead, down your nose, your juicy lips, and chin with his eyes. He could stare at you all day.

“You’re beautiful, you know that?”

You squinted at him, trying to gauge where he was coming from. “Don’t play with me, Frankie.”

“I’m not playing. You do know that, right?”

His eyes stayed on you and you tried maintaining eye contact as well but you soon felt overwhelmed so you looked away at the people skating.

Franklin wouldn’t let you hide so he gripped your chin to bring your attention back to him. “Right?”

You bit your lip before replying, “Of course I know that. Why are you saying it?”

“Cause I don’t think I’ve ever told you, and it needed to be said.” He answered, like it was the simplest thing in the world.

To him, it was.

Once again, he left you speechless. Your head tilted to the side as you studied him suspiciously “Well thanks, I think.”

“You think?” His eyebrow rose. Now he was the one confused by what you said.

You pursed your lips for a second before broaching the subject. “How’s Mel?”

“She’s aight I guess.” He shrugged, breaking eye contact with you and looking off to the side. His body language completely changed. “She’s leaving soon.”

“Hm. Pity.” You deadpanned, smacking his hand down so he wasn’t touching your face anymore.

“Cookie-” Franklin began but you cut him off.

“Save it.” You stood up to walk away when you were stopped by a warm hand on your stomach.

“Wait a second…” Franklin insisted, standing up the same moment you did. His fingers flexed on your stomach to keep you in place.

You both stood there quietly for a moment before your eyes went from his hand to his face. Your heads were close together with an inch of space between them. You wanted to kiss him. Declare your love for him. But all you could do was stare.

“Franklin?” A voice called out and you looked over his shoulder to see Mel standing there with skates in her hands. “I’m on my break.”

You smirked at Franklin and nodded your head towards Mel. “There go yo lil friend.” You raised an eyebrow at him challengingly.

As I’m entering the homestretch of my spring semester in college, I am still working on redesigning most of my past Tintin OCs to flesh out their characters more.

Right now, I just got done reworking another OC of mine.

This is Juliette Houghton, Maxine and Hanna’s legal guardian and their aunt from their mother’s side of the family. She gained custody of Hanna when she was little, and later Maxine after her service in the war. Now she’s in charge of making sure her nieces are well cared for and safe from danger.

But additionally, she’s also hoarding the secret of Maxine secretly enlisting in the war under a false name and disguise.

Some more information on Juliette:

Juliette was the younger sister of Maxine and Hanna’s mother.

After her sister's death, her trust fund was transferred to Juliette so that she could be able to afford a house, as well as find work in the city.

In the years that followed, Juliette had learned that her nieces were alive, and were sent to live in an institutional orphanage. However, she had to fill out a lot of paperwork to fulfill the qualifications of guardianship over them. And it had taken Juliette months to meet those requirements.

She soon gained custody of Hanna after hearing that her sister’s children are still alive. However, Maxine was under someone else’s care, and could only full custody of her until Maxine reached her teens.

At first, Hanna wasn’t sure how to feel having her mother’s sister taking care of her. But after a while, she slowly got used to having Juliette as a parental figure.

Juliette works two jobs in order to pay for rent and buy necessities for her and her nieces. She worked at a local tailor shop in London, while also performing a side job as a librarian. They didn't pay as much, but to Juliette, it was an effort worth working for.

Seeing how intelligent Hanna was at a young age, she encouraged Hanna's talent in creative writing and reading.

When Hanna started to show an interest in performance, Juliette thought it was an almost impossible feat. But she saw how Hanna was invested in it, so she saved up money to give her private acting and singing lessons.

It wasn’t until after Maxine had left for the war that Juliette eventually found out. When she tried calling Benjamin, Maxine’s guardian, to go after her, he told her that he can’t risk revealing Maxine in front of his commanding officer.

Only she and Hanna knew about Maxine's decision, and after Juliette found out, she was told never to say a word about it.

Juliette had never once met Tintin in her life. She only ever heard about him when Hanna told her about Maxine being sent to San Theodoros to assist in a revolution.

The one time that Juliette ever met Tintin was when he and Haddock would visit Chang and his uncle. As a matter of fact, Maxine and Hanna offered them their house to stay in whenever they came to visit.

Speaking of Chang, Juliette absolutely loved having him as a guest whenever Hanna brought him over to her house to study. Sometimes Chang would feel compelled to bring her a small gift as a token of gratitude, even if Juliette told him he didn't have to.

When Hanna told Juliette that she and Chang wouldn't be dating anymore after a year and a half because she wanted him to be with Tintin, Juliette wasn't sure how to feel at first.

She was a little shocked that Hanna chose to end their relationship, and a bit conflicted over the thought of Chang dating Tintin. But when Hanna explained it better, she gradually accepted it. It was slow for her to begin with, but Juliette learned to be inviting to the concept.

This is basically all the information you need to know about Maxine and Hanna's aunt.

Ahh, this is tricky. The ones I can get alone best are Titanarin, Wilmer, Jing-Fei, Krispin, Tegan, and Hwan. People that are chill and easy to get along with. I just need to peel some of their awkwardness away, sksksk. 😌

For those I wouldn't get along with. . . idk, maybe Elthesa, Gestinie, and Houghton. For Elthesa, it's bc I can be a bit of a doof in terms of following instructions. Gestinie might be so done with me. I know I just want to throw a glass bottle bc I'd loathe him at first sight. 😑
