after disappearing for days i have returned with a new oc from a different fandom: twisted wonderland

i don't have a full body reference ready bc i just got home from family gatherings and will still be away for tomorrow for a day out with my highschool friends (and then sleepover at my cousin's)

so for now, i offer a vieldam sketch:

he's from the pomefiore dorm and is based on the "old hag" form of the evil queen from snow white. his name is from "vieille dame" meaning "old lady" in French and the word "beldam". his pronouns are he/them.

vil doesn't like him that much because he hides his face and doesn't really care for his outward appearance so he sticks out. vieldam's friends with rook but keeps his distance just bc vil intimidates him a lot and he wants to avoid confrontation often.

his best subject is conjuring and arts. aaand he may also have taken a liking to ignihyde's dormitory leader.

my mc likes to make friends

vieldam wasn't comfortable with malleus showing up spontaneously but he still stays bc mc seems to not be scared of him at all.

he eventually gets used to his presence and even greets him with a crooked smile, and malleus knows it's not mocking or anything, he's just permanently nervous around people.

a month after vieldam's overblot incident vil decides to take him out for shopping (and to get him out of his room)

I like the idea of Rook bringing Vil back during Vieldam's overblot incident but by the time they get there he's already back to normal. Disoriented, but normal and held up by Kalim's arms.

Vil quietly pulls him into a hug, brushing past the dried blood and sweat from fighting to just hold him there. Vieldam's on high alert from fighting and it took him a while to relax and reciprocate the hug. When they pull away though, the attention had been directed to his wounds, and the large gash on his forehead from when he fell.

They kind of make-up in the end, thought Vieldam doesn't immediately stop using his veils in public. He at least isn't afraid of Vil anymore, and they can sit in the same room without him chickening out and hiding somewhere else.

had an idea abt vieldam where he gets caught by the gang (deuce, ace, grimm and mc) sneaking into pomefiore after club activities bc he tends to lock up very late to avoid running into ppl when he comes back to the dorms.

deuce and ace think he's a weird stalker of vil's but mc recognizes him as a looming shadow in pomefiore, the only student that wears a veil.

vieldam's understandably shaken and flees, climbing up to the window to his room and hiding.

when vieldam was back to his senses, he quickly felt the pressure of eyes on him, with his veil a tattered mess and useless, he tried to bury himself. kalim rushed to him on his knees so he could have one corner to huddle into.
