Hello! I just read Icarus and loved it so much, I want to do some paintings of some scenes and was wondering if you had any references that could be used for the characters faces\appearances? Thank you so much for sharing your art, it’s genuinely something that’s changed my life <333
Thank you so much for reading Icarus!!
I did have some pictures I used for FC when I was writing.
This for Icarus:
They were of a height, they had the same wiry frame, the same black limp hair, the same big ears, the same deep-set brown eyes, the same unhappy mouth. He thought his father was ugly, so he knew he must be ugly too.

Icarus...knew he could look passable in casual clothes, but he'd never be able to pull off the kind of party-wear that everyone his age wore these days.
He was sure he was ugly, but if he squinted Icarus knew he could be 1950s handsome. He'd seen enough photography from that era to recognize it. Icarus liked older things, so he didn't mind.
This for Helios (but with red hair of course):
Helios's face was.... like a statue come to life. Crests and shadows in alabaster and blue. Cow eyed, dimple chinned, long lashed beauty, in spite of everything. And for one violent second Icarus wished that he had time to paint him .

"You said ' How long have you been doing this?' and you weren't scared at all. Why?"
Helios watched him for a second before answering. "Because I recognized you. And I'm stronger than you."
