Okay, now that the hype has died down I just want to say that the general vibe of abject horror that Mr Foxington Tobias expressed about the simple fact that he had to make a song to act as a replacement for pepper steak is the realest thing I've ever seen. because like HOLY SHIT. how do you even BEGIN to approach that? i would have crashed out ngl. you want me to try to match up to pepper steak? pepper steak. pepper steak from OFF? you're insane. you might as well ask me to turn water into gold because you are asking me to do the impossible here. to capture pepper steak. pepper steak from off. the song pepper steak from OFF. what the fuck dude what the hell

Anyway I think I'm either blind or not awake enough this morning because I can't find the ask meme from the Elsen post but, uhh prompt: Japhet sounds like he enjoys trivia dumping on the Batter. Could the friendly songbird have offhandedly mentioned something that eventually winds up pointing him down a darker path? Maybe the Batter made an incorrect conclusion (or a tragically correct one) on whatever Japhet was talking about.

Ok so, I struggled to come up with something cohesive to put together an actual drabble or narrative, but I have got a few images based on an idea I had that I'll explain underneath.

Ok so this is based on an idea I briefly chatted about with a friend, to kind of play up the whole uncanny "artificial human" thing I have going with the Batter. In that, what if he didn't have a heartbeat? Or indeed, a heart at all.

He notices it in others, how they have a heartbeat or a pulse, but he can't find one of his own, and neither can Vader, or anyone else. He seems to be alive in every way that matters, so why does he lack what others have?

So he goes looking for answers, and starts to question more as to whether he actually is 'real'.
