Haven't seen the Stargirl show but it has the best live-action superhero costumes cause they're all just straight out of the comics. None of that boring leather crap like Arrowverse. None of those overdesigned costumes with too many line details like MCU. Stargirl costume designers said we don't give a SHIT if these comic outfits look kinda goofy irl we're gonna use them anyway and you're just gonna roll with it and I respect that.

#i know some people hate adding line details to superhero costumes to make them look more realistic #i'm fine with it on principle and i do it myself sometimes when i draw my own costume designs #but it is possible to go overboard with it and the mcu definitely goes overboard with it especially in the more recent stuff #other adaptations do it much better like the insomniac spider-man suit or a lot of the designs in young justice #those are much better examples of adding extra detail without it being Too Much imo #oh and dceu costumes used to be mostly good imo but in the more recent stuff they're more hit or miss #like the new flash suit is just straight up awful. the mask doesn't even frame his face right. atrocious.#shut up tristan
