Little facts about Wolfgang Von Trips which I have picked up reading The Limit by Michael Cannell. Dot point style inspired by @cazzyf1

Wolfgang was known as Wölfchen [little wolf] by his parents.

As a child, he hated going to social outings due to the leggings & ruffled shirts his parents forced him to wear.

If left on his own as a child, he would run through the apple orchard or paddle along the moats around his house. He also had a secret treehouse in his favourite tree.

Wolfgang as a baby. Does it surprise anyone that he was like the cutest baby??

His first car crush was the family's Opel Super 6.

During WW2, when he was 16 he was drafted to search through air raid debris. He said he "saw the whole of human suffering firsthand."

He learned English from the African Americans living in his house and apparently could speak nearly flawless Americanized English.

He had a tendency to faint when he went through without eating. It is likely believed he had diabetes but it was never diagnosed.

His first motorsports obsession was motorbikes

At his first Mille Miglia, he won his class and came thirty-third overall!

Like many drivers starting out, he had to hide from his parents about his racing obsession. They viewed Wolfgang as the last hope for their family as he was their only child.

So when his parents went out for dinner after the Mille Miglia, the waiter asked if they were related to the Von Trips who had a class win - "I'm sorry no, my son is studying in West Germany." They didn't know until they saw the newspaper.

He raced under the pseudonym Axel Linther, a man he borrowed from a dead-end branch of the family tree.

He was actually supposed to race in the 1955 Le Mans however he was replaced by Pierre Levegh as Levegh had more experience. Von Trips was actually in the crowd and witnessed the accident.

He got the nickname Crash Von Trips due to crashing out within the first lap.

E*zo Ferrari said Wolfgang had "a noble spirit."

He used to call Phil Hill "Philee Hillee".

He always got called 'The Count' or 'Taffy', though no one knows how he got the latter nickname. It is believed another driver said he looked like a Taffy, which means Welshman or a beloved friend.

He appeared in a video encouraging people to get into motorsports for the "mastery of technical structure".

He would always carry cameras at the races to record his events, friends, girlfriends, etc and then when home he would tape-record himself talking about what was in the film.

At the 1957 German Grand Prix, he didn't race due to a broken leg. His Ferrari teammates Mike Hawthorn & Peter Collins gave him a set of yellow, blue, and white flags so he could signal the location of Fangio.

I C O N I C A L L Y When Fangio was kidnapped in Cuba, Wolfgang was lending a group of drivers on a tour of Havana's seedy clubs.

He had to get to a post-race interview but had no way of getting to the meeting point so he borrowed a bicycle from a teenager and rode with the teen sitting on the handlebar LMAO.

He was a big hope for Germany, especially after WW2, and became a national symbol. If he had won the 1961 championship, he would have been the first German to do so. That didn't come until 1994 with Michael Schumacher.

Speaking of Schumi, Wolfgang was very passionate about karting and established a go-kart racetrack near Kerpen which Michael would later take his first-ever lap on!

So there's no show that's 'helped me' in any way, just some I enjoy more than others. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel is a fave. This Is Us makes me cry every episode and I don't cry easily at shows. Wilbur’s mouth meet Quackity’s neck.

All outside motions stopped, and instinctively, a tongue was licking a long strip down the column of Q’s tanned neck.

Suddenly, Wilbur’s entire body was set ablaze with hunger as one hand wrapped harshly around Quackity’s jaw, tilting it away for more access, and the other arm was hugging Q’s body to his so hard, Q knew there was no escape.

Not like he was planning too, but the inhuman strength that came from the undead always ticked the neediness checklist in this head. The way Wilbur was only a word away from devouring him, and was holding on by a skin of his teeth to not drinking Q dry.

What’s even funnier is that Wilbur hadn’t even pierced his skin yet, just shallowly breathing onto it making the rest of his body flare up in prey instinct. After all, what’s a human to a vampire?

Everything, the voice of past Wilbur spoke, doing a pretty job at taking away Quackity’s awareness of the now.

It was only after present Wilbur grips turned bruising that Quackity was brought back to reality, he’s own breathes turning heavier with the grip around his stomach tightening too hard for comfort.

“Hey, keep that up and you really won’t be getting not a thing from me.”

Wilbur’s grip relaxed, and Q smirked on how easy that was. That he had the beast wrapped around his little finger, all just for a taste.

Wilbur licked and sucked at Q’s neck, but never pierced, and he continued until Quackity was finally done teasing the older man.

“Now, what’s the magic wordddd?” Quackity mocked.

“Go fuck yourself—” Wilbur huffed out, still kissing Q’s neck and never loosening his hold around the other.

Quackity grabbed the arm wrapped around his waist, pushing it forward only an inch before he heard the other whimper.

Quackity’s glee and ego were absolutely drinking up the noises, so much so that Quackity finally decides to end the other man’s suffering and leads Wilbur to a tree.

Q lets himself get pinned to the bark, twisting so he could finally face Wilbur fully and drink up the sight of the disheveled man in front of him.

Quackity had too admit, it was a pretty picture, but he’s been teasing for too long and wouldn’t want the other to wait too long after all.

They both stared at each other, both hungry for different things, yet knowing only the other could provide.

“Have me, until I say stop.”

Wilbur’s face disappeared as fast as light, opening his mouth and finally being able to eat what he wanted.

It hurt, of course it did, and Quackity never thinks he’ll get used to it, but the blood rushing out his neck was always a addicting feeling. The way the silky liquid dribbled down his neck, the lightheadedness that came from the rapid loss, the person stealing his life from him.

Quackity loved it all, and seeing how utterly wrecked the other became for even a drop stroked his ego higher than the stars. Even as Wilbur was losing more control, lifting Q higher off the ground and pinning him to the tree.

The moonlight didn’t reach them, but the both of them were glowing so hard, they didn’t need any light.

Yeaaaghhh,,, at this point ive also nearly. Entirely moved away from every part of danganronpa that doesn't involve the like. 4 characters i rotate in my brain microwave. Theyre the only things really keeping me attached to it since at this point i treat them like my little test tube critters and I've also remembered what its like to be into uhhhhhh whats the wordddd. Oh right. Good media. (The juxtaposition between dr and pokemon was. Startling when submas became a more prominent fixation). I don't even really interact with many dr artists anymore beyond friends ive already made. To me its a game best enjoyed in a highly self-catered bubble.

Sorry about the long ask!! I'm just glad that we kinda have the same perspective on this even though i'm technically still. Stuck behind the bars of the enclosure that is this fucking game FSHHFGJ

No worries syd! its a little bit of a bummer not finding enjoyment in dr as much as i used to, but its also relieving at the same time knowing i can look forward to the characters i like actually getting content for them outside of maybe 1 or 2 merch art once a year lol.

its not even that i think danganronpa should make more content, i think watching the DR:S routes for the characters i like gave me enough closure in terms of wanting anything more from danganronpa, even if it was anticlimactic with all the hype building up to the game's release.
