FFxivWrite2024 Day 19 Prompt: Taken

*Zelda/ffxiv crossover again*

This was definitely something Link was not all that familiar with. Normally he could simply fight or sneak his way out of capture. Today was different due to not wanting to let a young green soldier get killed. He and the Serpent Edeaux had been patrolling near the Dimwold in the Fringes when they were ambushed by the Corps Brigade who had upon learning the alliance had opened the way to Gyr Abania had decided to return and harass Gyr Abanians and Alliance alike stealing whatever they could get their hands on.

The sheer numbers they had surrounded them with forced Link to surrender instead of fight. Had he been on his own he would have fought but he was not willing to risk Edeaux's life so instead he threw down the Master Sword and raised his hands in surrender. The Brigade then bound both of them and dragged them to the Comets Tail where they now held them captive.

He had a bit of satisfaction seeing several of them attempt to pick up the Master Sword only to have to drop it as the spirit within Fi burned them for daring to touch her. So it had been left there in the Dimwold and Link had no doubt that soon Fi would call for Zelda meaning the two of them should expect rescue soon.

He gave a bemused smirk thinking, Zelda rescuing me heh what would Impa and Purah say about that one. Normally its the other way round.

He then got a sharp kick to his ribs and one of the Corpse Brigade snarled, "What are you smirking about Hero? Your in our control now."

Link simply gave a low chuckle and murmured, "Thinking about how screwed you all are about to be."

The Highlander kicked again and Link felt a rib pop and Edeaux snapped, "Leave him alone!"

"What ye want a go knife ear?" the man snarled turning to aim a kick his direction

"What so he can laugh? Seriously I've had worst kicks from a foa…. chocobo chick." Link wheezed

The man growled, "Why you!"

"Brifard!" one of the others snapped, "Stop wasting time on the prisoners and get over here there's something coming."

Link chuckled as the man aimed one last kick at him breaking another rib. In his head he heard Fi telling him help was on the way.

"Are you alright Warrior," Edeaux asked softly, "You probably shouldn't antagonize them so…"

Link just snorted responding, "Been worse and was merely speaking truth. They are about to find out how bad it is to anger the Princess of Hyrule."

"What?" Edeaux asked confused

"My partner Zelda, she is on her way along with I assume others of the Alliance. That blade they couldn't touch it has a spirit within it and she can and does speak to people. The moment we were dragged of I guarantee she called out to Zelda."

"Your partner is royalty!? I…should have been more…"

Link shook his head, "No she long ago stopped worrying about formalities. She prefers to be treated like a regular person so don't please. Keep on as you have."

Edeaux looked worried but nodded, "If you say so Warrior."

Link simply nodded then gave a wicked smile as the unmistakable hum followed by the brillante flash of Holy shined from down the bend of the ravine. Several of the Brigade cried out in pain and then the sounds of combat began echoing.

"Hey lad, think you can get my hands free, no point in letting them fight it alone." he asked

"I…but yer hurt…" the young Elezen stammered

"Eh fought with worse lets get ourselves out and save them all the full hassle of coming all this way." he retorted

"If you say so here let me try.."

With that the Elezen moved over and began to do his best to free Links hands all the while the sounds of combat were getting louder within the canyon and from the sound of it the Brigade was the one losing. As his hands were freed Link then got the boy loose and began searching for something to fight with in the supplies they had been tied near.

"Here," he said tossing the boy a weapon he found while taking one himself then he ran down the ravine toward the combat to meet with the others. Fi let Zelda know we're loose and joining the fray. he told the blade silently aloud giving the boy pointers on how to use a weapon he was unfamiliar with on the fly.

post-s3 finale head cannons (spoilers, duh)

Omega, she’s become one of the most famous pilots for the rebellion.

She names her x-wing “Havoc 5” for her brothers

Of course it has their ct numbers written across the back, right behind the cockpit, for they’re always watching her six. She can't see them when she's flying, and frankly doesn't look at the worn numbers there every day, but they're there always.

The belly of her x-wing is covered in tally marks. The blue ones are for each clone she’s helped free, an ohmage to a clone her brother Echo told her about, ARC-5555. The black ones are for every other being she's helped free. And the red ones, those are for the lives that have passed on and become one with the Force.

On part of her landing gear is a blue pawprint.

On her helmet she only has five things painted, a knife, a crosshair, a tooka doll, a handprint, and a pair of goggles.

On the shoulder of her flight suit, she adds another CF 99 patch, just like the one on her jacket.

She goes by callsign “Omega” for she is the last. The end. The final thing her enemies will see, the last thing the Empire will feel as it falls. She is the being that brings an end to the suffering that so many clones have faced as wards of the Empire when she shows up to liberate them. Omega.

Bonus: The first time she returns to Pabu, Hunter immediately notices the nose art she's chosen to paint on her shuttle, the one built from the Marauder's salvage. It's a stark replica of the nose art that once adorned the original ship, back in the Clone Wars. His stomach plummets and he can't even find the words. As his daughter strolls down the ramp, she immediately bursts into laughter at the look on his face.

Her brothers, Crosshair and Wrecker stroll into the courtyard, the larger of the two asking loudly, "What's so funny, 'Meg?"

"I think that is what's so funny." The lankier one replies, gesturing to the nose of the shuttle with his left hand. He's forgone his prosthetic today. Some days he wears it, others he chooses to wear his cap with pride.

Wrecker scratches his beard and both his eyes widen, "WAIT- IS THAT?"

"So, it would seem." Crosshair says, placing a toothpick between his lips. "Breathe, Hunter." He says pointedly at his brother, who still looks like a deer caught in headlights.

"I-uhh. It's good to have you home, Omega." He finally stutters out.

He wraps his arms around her tightly as always, but his eyes are still glued to the hull of her shuttle. "Done some decorating, I see?"

"Yeah." She replies simply, giving Wrecker and Crosshair their own due hugs. "You like it?"

"It certainly is... something." Hunter gets out, stumbling over his words yet again.

"I found the image in some old Republic files we recovered, it reminded me of something I saw as a kid, but I don't remember where." She says, coming to stand beside Hunter again.

"Ehhh... Omega." Her father groans, running a hand through his greying hair. "Do you... Do you remember what the Marauder looked like when we first met?"

She turns to him. "No, why do you ask?"

Hunter finally peels his eyes away from the shuttle to face his daughter. "That picture you found... That was... That was the Marauder, that's where you know it from. You only saw it once. We scrubbed it off as soon as we decided to come back to Kamino for you."

"Really? I had no recollection." Omega tries to stop the grin from spreading across her face, but she can't help it, and Hunter, still perceptive as always scoffs at her.

"Why you little..." He growls at her, stifling his own laughter.

"I think she knows..." Crosshair chimes in, running his hand through his silver locks.

Wrecker's jaw drops, "Wait, you know where that's from?"

Omega shakes her head at her brothers. "Of course I know, I never forgot how awkward you all were when I asked about it. It didn't click exactly why until I found that old picture. Thought I'd bring it back for old time's sake, eh Hunter?"

Hunter's eyes widen as words escape him once again.

"Kidding," Omega teases. "I just wanted to see what your reaction would be."

Crosshair steps closer to the shuttle to examine the paint job. "Though this has been wildly entertaining, it might be best for you to scrub it, 'Mega."

Omega crosses her arms. "Why? You did it first little brother."

His eyes narrow at his sister, he's the only one she ever pulls that with and though he secretly loves it, she can't know that. "I mean it." He says sternly, pointing his toothpick at her. "Otherwise, Hunter is going to have an aneurysm every time you come home."

Omega looks to the clone beside her, just barely an inch shorter than her now. She places a hand on his shoulder, "Of course I'll scrub it. Echo thought the idea was hilarious. Plus, it gave me an opening to show you this."

She gently reaches into her bag and brings out a holoframe, turning it so Hunter can see. It looks just like any other quick photo taken in a Republic shipyard. Troopers are milling around in the back, by the looks of the landscape it might've been Ryloth. The focus of the photo, however, is a black Omicron-class attack shuttle and five clone commandos posed in front of it in red and black armor.

Their helmets are off, their faces young and confident, proud of their most recent mission. Though, the sniper has a rifle held in his right hand, and the one crouched in front doesn't have his goggles on. But it's clear who it is, all five of them. And on the nose of the attack shuttle behind them, is the striking portrait of the last senator of Naboo.

Have some John everyone.

I wanted to incorporate some very clear Lovecraftian/ Book King in Yellow features, such as the tentacle hair, starry/cosmic look to his skin, as well as the fact that the mask of the king had organic matter than kept it connected to John's face.

The shattering and gold centerpiece is an ohmage to his nature as the 'heart' as well as him being a splintered part of a greater whole trying to make themselves into something else.

Kulipari: A King Rises - Lizard Scroll Flashback

This is a quick flashback scene I illustrated for A King Rises episode 3. The script made no mention of how Killara obtained the Lizard scroll, so we had to come up with a fast solution as to how he got it. We decided a quick illustrated flashback would be enough. The shot where they obtained the sword (as seen here) is supposed to be a hokey ohmage to 80s epic fantasy movie posters and the like, however someone in production got cold feet last minute and took the kids out of the shot.

Hazbin Next Gen's Changes and Remains

So I don't know if anyone really watched my Hazbin posts back when the pilot was around if not then I will explain something real quick, so people understand that the next gens I do have will not change and I do not ship one of these in any way. So my next gens haven't really changed in a means of shipping/children apart from you know a few new additions. 1. Vaggie and Charlie still have a daughter, I'm undecided if they will have a sibling, but i have already posted their child. Their child went from being called Iris to Eris as Eris is meant to be a goddess of destruction and it just felt more fitting. 2. In an unforeseen circumstance no one saw coming (Pun intended), I had a Angel Dust x Cherri Bomb child by the name of Miss Emma. I do not ship the two, think of it as a drug/alcohol binge that went too far. Her name will also be changed from Miss Emma to well her name at the moment is Lovebomb but I may change it later on down the line. This is who she is now:

MCD Laurance headcanons! 3 2 1 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-

-Laurance sneezes like a kitten

-He can turn his eyes red without turning, but its usually accidental

-Laurance and Dante bonded really well in the first day they met, so Laurance claimed him as his brother

-Laurance loves kids and babysits for Aph any time Zoey needs a break

-Laurance once bit through Garroth’s sword during a training session and ended up getting him a new and enchanted one

-Laurance almost never gets a full night of sleep

-Laurance and Cadenza are very competitive with each other, even in season 3 (when Laurance was all angry and angsty and SHOWED UP FOR 2 EPISODES-)

-Laurance taught Cadenza how to fight “just in case”

Eyyyyy Episode Five!!!

So after watching this episode I think this is the best one yet! But first the qualms as usual. I didn't like that when Percy gets out of the water he's wet when one of the things was that as a son of Poseidon he cant get wet and i was confused why Annabeth saw the Fates and not Percy but that's neither here nor there. EDGE WAS PERFECT AS ARES (Edge is the stage name in world wrestling entertainment (aka:WWE) for the guy playing Ares (i was fan girling so hard when i saw him))!!! He captures the pettiness and the anger Ares always has and i love the character idea that he starts fights on twitter because THATS SUCH AN ARES THING TO DO!!! The Waterland scene was amazing (especially the little story about Hephaestus's life and the idea of the chair made for Hera being the trap) and i like the little ohmage they did to the book version with the little jar of spiders in the back of the chair. I was gonna complain about Percy not figuring out anything but he was the one who remembered about the myth of how Hephaestus and Aphrodite became married and figured out the trap on his own. I also appreciate that Annabeth is slowly starting to become more snippety with the gods since Percy is rubbing off on her. Percy showing that he made sure to plan ahead and pick Annabeth because he knew she wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice him and then Annabeth growing to actually hesitate as amazing character work because it makes sense for Percy at the beginning to fully believe that Annabeth did not care about him and would do anything for the mission (like how she literally used him as bait in capture the flag) but with him sacrificing himself for Annabeth on the arch Annabeth actually growing and wanting to sacrifice herself instead. I also loved how she was marveling at Hephaestus's handiwork since she is an aspiring architect. I really liked that this version of Grover is smart enough to (at least in my headcannon) research all of the gods and find deep cuts in order to butter them up if he has to. Like I said before i really like the idea they had for Waterland even if it wasn't the original and didn't have Annabeth's phobia of spiders. The ending with percy being the impertinent demigod he is standing up to Ares was also very fun. Overall this was the best episode so far and i'm looking froward to the rest. (there is a lot more that i want to talk about (like the interaction with Hephaestus and the little Gabe snippet where he said "i-I mean WE loved that car") but i'll leave that to others)

I've probably have said this before and I will say it again...

I used to have a villain crush on No Heart from The Care Bears family. From like... age 10 or 12-17. Why? I have no idea- I have a bunch of villains that live in my head rent free.

I'm sure I don't still pay ohmage to him in my art designs or my Tumblr profile *nervously laughs*

Anyways- I've been meaning to do a theory about him for quite some time. I'm no longer obsessed as I was, but there is seemingly a slight interest in him resurging. Mosly people asking things like, "Why the heck does he suddenly have a human-looking niece? Isn't he like hundreds of years old?" And this fan theory in the back of my head since Middle School keeps going "OOH! OOH! I THINK I KNOW! I THINK I KNOW!!!" And then it remains at the bottom of the pile of the things I tell myself and others I'll construct one day and never do/never finish (I really need to reread D Gray Man and update an actual post for my Dimitri Conspiracy. I'm already forgetting evidence.)

Anyways... some day I'll get to it and at some point I was obsessed with him. That's all I really wanted to confess. Thank you.

AfterMath Preview 2

thats right. you're getting two previews. why? because. thats why. please bear with me as i disappear again for a month :P we still in italics because its a flashback. Sir Grumpy's is kind of like an ohmage to one of my favorite breakfast places i went to on vacation. the name of the place was Grumpys. he now sells Burgers.

“well, that went great, ya’?” Mammon appeared from behind another curtain with a burger in his hand, flanked by two smaller beings Blitz didn’t recognize. He watched Fizz freeze up a tad but glance at the burger in Mammon’s hand. “ya like the food, Ozz?” Mammon asked chuckling and dangling the burger in front of Fizz’s face before patting him hard on the back.

Fizz looked at the floor and shrunk away slightly.

Asmodeus shrugged his shoulders but smiled. “I’m not very hungry right now, I will probably make something at home.” Asmodeus glanced at Fizz who still wasn’t looking at anything in particular. “you want anything?” Asmodeus nudged Fizz who seemed to freeze up again, as if he associated the action now with Blitz’s face.

“Boy can’t have any of this stuff if he wants to keep bein’ his famous fuckin’ self!” Mammon chuckled and slapped Fizz’s back again, causing his head to snap up, his vision just inches away from Blitz, who quickly shoved himself between the curtains.

Blitz remembered back when they were younger how Cash kept Fizz on a special diet as well. Fizz barely got anything to eat on performance days, and on practice days or off days, his food was monitored heavily by Cash, that is, until they got older, and Blitz was able to convince Fizz to sneak out with him to grab a burger at Sir Grumpy’s or some French fries by the pier. It must be the same if not worse for him now, being surrounded by lavish things that he couldn’t indulge in. at least Blitz tried, and he hoped that someone else out there was looking out for Fizz too. Maybe it was Asmodeus…

“Actually, if you don’t need your star for anything else today, I’d like to kidnap him for a few hours, I want to make a few adjustments to his prosthetics.” Asmodeus said, giving Mammon a little glare in response to the food comment. Mammon glared black and him but tilted his head.

Exploring plastics in the body through photography

Today I looked at plastics inside the body , inspired by the issue of microplastics becoming part of the everyday encounter and then created a different dynamic by it putting the body inside of plastics.

The first photo is a projection of the 'island of rubbish' from an earlier session, on Aoife , representing plastics in the body , then putting a plastic tray to distort the image ,engulfing the image in plastic.

The second picture is an ohmage to plastics in the sea , the glitter gives a sense of microplastics , while the water and lights from above and below creates an Icey stillness .

The last two photos show the impact of this pollution on the environment .

I like the cloudiness of the flash bottle , it slightly hides the figure , making you look harder for a direct comparison

Pets Index;

So my characters have a few pets. I'm going to make a small list and brief summary of each animal. More in depth posts will come for special guest muses. @hellsgreatestgame helped with most of these and they apply to her muses with a few additions.

Jambalaya (Jambi) - he is basically an amalgamation of static, Alastor DNA and shadows to create a mini cat and deer creature in the image of Alastor. He is a feral little thing that roams the hotel. He enjoys chaos and murder. He is kind of a blob thing. He can alter his shape some.

Treble - A young electronic dragon who acts as an antenna for Alastor. He is very heavily influenced by music and eats metal. Treble was born in Gluttony and was gifted to Al by Rachael.

Binky - A wendigo guardian created by Rachael for Beatrix. This is an amalgamation of various animals and he wears a deer skull crown. He mostly looks small and cute until he transforms into a large beast over 30 ft. tall.

Apple - to balance the Jambalaya, Lucifer created a little winged cat. Apple is a female cat who is soft and really enjoys cuddles. She enjoys swimming and chasing Jambi around.

Ayin - the serpent in Lucifer's hat. This is the creature from the tree of knowledge that gifted him the fruit. This being seems to have existed since the beginning. They are an enigma even to Lucifer.

Cream - Albino cat with no eyes and has a light feathery texture. She was created with some of Rosie's essence. She is a friendly food driven cat. She loves to watch in the kitchen and give you advice with her soft noises.

Pie - Incredibly soft and fluffy lamb created by Lucifer for Charlie. She is a pink princess. She has great empathy and loves to cuddle people when they seem down. Her wool is blessed and can be used to weave blessed rope.

Mincemeat - Or lovingly called meat, is a ram with anger issues. He is very aggressive and often has to wear pool noodles on his horns to avoid stabbing someone. He is made to protect Pie and has some of Vaggie's essence in him.

Raspberry - tiny energetic cat made by Ray. This cat is extremely playful and sweet. She mimics other animal sounds and when falling her wings appear for a very graceful landing.

Ducklings - Various ducks created by Lucifer to help serve the hotel as staff. Most are dressed as butlers or maids.

Quieves - There are 13 currently but it all started with Cinnamon and Bun. Each of his babies have cute bakery themed names paying ohmage to Cinnamoroll.

Ram & Byte - Cybernetic sharks created and enhanced by Voxtech with designs from Baxter. They are used as security and more. They have artificial souls and growing AI. Vox sees them as pets and experiments.

He leaves at noon, on the dot, again, after I burst out crying because of how thankful I am for him. I hug him, tight.

"I know you have to go."

"Yes, but I want to make sure you're okay first."

That makes me cry harder. He asks me when the feeling started. I tell him, when the episode (S9E5) ended, and Cristina showed up. I tell him I'm not sure what I'm feeling, because normally I cry for such a different reason than this.

"it just feels like I've been in a metaphorical plane crash. no one's dead, but… you're still the only one here."

I resist the urge to tell him you're my person, an ohmage to a show I have immersed myself in because of him. It wouldn't be quite the same. Cristina and Merideth are each other's person.

He's my person.

But I know I'm not his.

I resist the urge to yell at him like Cristina yelled at Owen. "Be my person, be my freakin person!"

I'll never be his person.

Yet I am overwhelmed by my love and gratitude for him.

"I'm finally getting out," I manage through the lump in my throat as he hugs me. "I'm going to college," I chuckle, shaking my head. "I think that it's because of you. I don't think I ever would have made it back to college if it wasn't for you."

I can feel his smile despite him facing the opposite direction, and my face being smushed into his shoulder.

"You're welcome, Scotty," he says with such tenderness that I ache.

I tell him to travel safe. He's headed to California tomorrow afternoon. I won't see him for several days on account of that. I think I will miss him more than he will miss me-- but simultaneously, I think he might miss me more than he lets on.

"If you get bored down there, just call me. We can fuck around on discord games and stress you out with Death by AI."

"Ugh," he says. "I don't understand that game. I can't win."

"Hah, yeah, I think growing up in an extremely overcompetitive family and never being the winner made me comfortable losing."

"That makes sense," he nods as he puts his shoes on.

I hug him from behind, savoring each moment. He giggles, and I squeeze a little tighter. "Take pictures of the clouds for me-- not when you're driving." He laughs at that. I kiss him quickly just before he slips out of the door. "Safe travels, E."

And he's gone, without another word. I whisper to the closed door. "I love you. I'll miss you," listening to his squeaking fiat backing out of my driveway, disappearing in the distance as I stand there in silence for a long, long moment.

he has always been my person. I wonder if, someday, somehow, I will be his. So I waste my patience on him. Just one more day. I'll wait for him to love me. Just one more day.

Mist Maze Design:

All the screenshots below are from the completed maze.

1.An ohmage to my efforts: The first image below shows what was left of my vision to design a mirror maze in game. I felt I had to leave something behind in order to showcase what could have been. I hope that there are better ways to make such things in the future.

2.The Centre of it all: The next image below shows the middle of my maze. I shaped it like a diamond in order to represent the Illusion Stone. The player is unable to walk through this part but I have built the maze around it as a focal point.

3.Base Design and Colour Coding: Even though this is obviously the completed design, the base design of this maze was without all the steam and colour and detail. This drawing shows the start of what was to be my maze. I first drew the diamond around the centre and then proceeded to just draw random paths around it that would either link up or be a dead end. Once I had put paper to PC, I then thought about bringing different colours into the maze through the use of point lights which you can make pretty much any colour. The three colours I chose were Purple, Green & Orange. I chose Purple as it represented Mystery in Colour Psychology. The green and orange were just colours that I thought didn't fit with purple therefore increasing the confusion of the player.

4.Introduction of Steam: This was my substitute that I brought in for the Mirrors Steam. I discovered this through a free asset pack I had downloaded previously with things like fire, smoke and Steam. With the use of Steam I had adopted the term Smoke and Mirrors as both were included at least once in my Maze In some areas when using this, I piled several assets on top of each other to intensify the smoke. I was happy with how this new design had turned out and hopefully it confuses the players as much as the mirrors would have.

5.Maze wall Material: In order to create a Circus style vibe to this maze, I proceeded to download a toy block asset from Quixel. This would go on every wall that I had placed on this maze. I was happy with how this tuned out as it help give more of an atmosphere to this maze.

6.The Exit: This is the exit that leads to the final section of the game. I made it a small arch that looked like it had been taken over by the Illusion stone I say this because I used the same material for it.
