It is done.

So after a week of frustration (and waiting on more materials) i FINALLY completed my Lulu duck.

I filled the stripes using acrylic markers, and detailed the feathers. I applied just 1 coat of mod podge to seal it.

I poked a hole in the back of the head with a screwdriver to attach the chain. Don't worry it didn't leave too much of a wound. I put super glue to make it really stick

Just for fun I created another flower to match the one on his hat. I attached it with jewellery wire and some fake pearls.

Our phones were shut off because the donations are still being transferred and take a few days, and I still have other bills I need to get caught up on as well.

I think I said something to this effect last night, but please join me in prayer for a few people.

Pray for a hunger for God today above all else. That they will surrender their every desire to God and trust His will for their lives. Pray for every decision made today to be made in all wisdom and godly love, and that the reaction to each decision would be met with grace.

Pray for God to weigh heavily on their hearts today, impressing Himself on them. Pray that they will trust in God wholeheartedly, not reserving anything. Pray that the choices they make will not be based on their limited understanding but upon God's wisdom and love. Pray that godly love will abound and control the situation.

Pray for peace in the situation. Pray that God will make His way clear and that they will listen attentively. Pray for them, that they might be fixed upon God's wisdom more than their own desires or understanding, that they might hunger for God's will in their decisions rather than their selfish desires.

Pray that above all, today would be filled with selfless love. That it would not be bound by a search for approval of man but rather seeking the approval of God, no matter what that means. Pray that each decision would be made gracefully and decisively, that there would be biblical conviction behind the choices made. Pray that God's word will cling to their minds ready for whatever the day throws at them. Pray that they will seek God's strengthening, to be instruments of His will today rather than trying to arrange their own designs on the situation.

These people and this situation is very near to my heart. So please help me by being prayer warriors today. I want God's will to cone out of today and I want His hand to be heavily involved in a way that is clearly visible to everyone. I wish I could pray louder but I don't need to, God hears me. So please join with me in praying for these people.

My Da has been playing XIV with me, he's only just picked up the game, we got him to just before the solo duty before Ifrit today and we'll hopefully be doing more on Monday.

It's really exciting to be for a number of reasons but especially because growing up, no adults ever really cared to share my interests. My mother and I have very different things we enjoy, so she never really tried with anime, fantasy, video games, etc. My grandparents were and are much the same.

I met my Da in my teens and he's engaged in so many things because I've been interested in them in the years since, but this is the biggest one for me, because of how much the game itself means to me (after all, you don't tend to get things that mean nothing to you tattooed on your skin!)

Here's hoping I can see him all the way through, to Ultima Thule and beyond, to wherever comes after!

there's a couple things I've been thinking on lately......

For one: don't shame or bully people for not having finished a series or show they've started. yes you want to talk to others about that season finale, but that means nothing if they had to watch it against their will, and that especially means nothing if they had to become triggered to placate you.

and Second: if someone asks for you to "spoil" the rest of a series for them, don't pull the whole "oh but it'll ruin it!" card. Just answer their question/s. yes we are aware that you're surrendering details that are perceived to be the "reward" for finishing the show. not everyone has the attention span to finish a whole series, sometimes it can feel like it's not worth finishing it, and not everyone is willing to take a chance on triggering themselves when they know there's potentially upsetting content in it. I had a "friend" at one point refuse to tell me how GF ended, except for the major traumatic plot point, which happened to coincide with a family member of mine going through the same sort of thing. I wasn't able to watch that show for years afterward bc I had no idea if it would effect me, especially with how that "friend" wouldn't tell me the whole picture, just the one upsetting detail.

tl;dr: Please respect your friends that are unable to finish every show they watch. Please respect your friends that want to keep themselves safe by not watching traumatizing content. Please just tell your friend how the show ends if they ask.

Great news for uninsured adults in the USA who want a COVID-19 booster! It now appears that ALL CVS locations are now active participants in the Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program gives out free Covid-19 vaccinations to 18+ adults who otherwise can't afford one, so if you have a CVS near you, please go get one! For others who don't have a CVS near them, please go to vaccines.gov, click on "Find Covid-19 vaccines", fill out which vaccines you prefer (you can mix different vaccines if you have to so i reccomend just marking all of them for the age groups you need), and when the next page loads mark the "Bridge Access Program Participant" option to see only locations that are Bridge Access Program participants. Hopefully, other places that aren't CVS will start participating soon, so just check back every so often to see if there are any updates. The CDC Bridge Access Program website also has more details on what locations will be participating, but only CVS is appearing as an active participant on the vaccines.gov location finder at the moment.

Sounds like I’ve got the job, barring some sort of unseen bullshit. “We’ll talk to HR and someone should contact you by Tuesday with an offer letter, you could start on June 6th potentially”

I hate waiting for so long cuz that’s now two more weeks without money I’d have to go and time’s been of the essence, but shit if there’s an end in sight maybe it’ll be a little more bearable???
