I guess? There’s me, my family, and that watch bot…is that enough for a squad? And by a family you mean, what? Who are the members? And i think refering to Ol' Tic Toc the wristwatch bot. Dimlit, do you know what family members is Jacqueline talking about and have you met them?

Jacqueline: By family, I mean my sisters, the other mannequin heads. There's Valencia, the one that got treated like a puppet that one time, though she isn't a bot at the moment. As for the other one...I'd rather not say more until she's ready to reveal herself. I've told Dimlit a bit about them, but not much more than I've said here.

Ah, I remember that universe! Such a magnificent place, with no terrible battles, and only friendly squabbles among the tribes. I myself was one of the original BotBots, known as Victor Tictor. Back then we were all united, but as the others fell into tribalization, I ended up with my fellows being relegated to the Antique Ancients. I turned into a Grandfather Clock, which made many of the younger members dismissive of my value, but I did become good friends with Ol' Tic Toc, who looked up to me just as later generations of the Swag Stylers looked up to her.

Theft and lies for the sake of a Creepy Pasta...

I'm out. I don't know if any of my friends / followers are a part of the Facebook group "Ghosts, the paranormal, supernatural, myths and legends." but someone in that group posted a "folktale" about "The good Sandman and The Evil Sandman.”  They used an illustration of Morpheus for The Evil Sandman.  I can even tell you which illustration.  It's from The Vertigo Dream Gallery published in the early 90s.  The illustration of Morpheus looming over the child's bed. She, at first, insisted it was real folklore. When I called her out on the stolen illustration and the fact that there is no lore of an evil Sandman that says "tic toc, Tic Toc you're next" the admin (I think she IS the admin) turned off my ability to comment.  So I left. Okay, I'm a little bit of an amateur folklorist (I've also studied parapsychology) so here we go. The origin of The Sandman lore starts with the Greek myth of the Oneiroi.  Morpheus, Phobetor, and Phantasos. Over time the myth became the lore of The Sandman, whom even Hans Christian Andersen wrote about as Ole Lukøje.  

There is one sinister depiction from 1816 however.   E. T. A. Hoffmann (1776–1822) wrote a short story in 1816 titled Der Sandmann, . According to the protagonist’s nurse, he threw sand in the eyes of children who wouldn’t sleep, with the result of those eyes falling out and being collected by the Sandman, who then takes the eyes to his nest on the Moon and uses them to feed his children.  This version doesn’t seem to be very popular though, but could have some basis in the creation of Neil Gaiman’s The Corinthian.  And there’s definitely no “Tic toc.  Tic Toc.  You’re next.”    

Neil Gaiman's version mixed and matched the lore and made Morpheus the lord of Dreams and Nightmares- creating the concept of The Endless as anthropomorphic personifications. His version of the character wasn't evil.  He was simply the embodiment of dreams.   He carried a pouch of dream sand and did his job.  That’s it.   The earliest pop culture depiction of an "evil" Sandman (outside of the lesser known 1816 depiction) that I know of is Pitch in Rise of The Guardians (and the related books). Pitch conjured nightmares in counter to Sandy's good dreams.  Pitch was physically inspired by Morpheus but my point remains that Morpheus is not evil and there is no actual folklore of an "evil" Sandman with "Corpse-like skin". In fact I had the distinct impression this group Admin had seen the Morpheus illustration and made up her lore based on what she assumed was going on in the image.   She STOLE a Neil Gaiman Sandman image, passed it off as something else, distorted folklore and then disabled my ability to comment when I called her out on it. I have very little tolerance for liars.  She stole the illustration and lied about the lore. And continued to lie about where her tale came from.

If anyone reading this is in that group, that is what just happened.

Toy Fair 2019 has come and gone, and as the dust settles, we can take a look at the hectic and hyped-up weekend that was. In particular, we can take stock and get a sense of what’s on tap for Transformers: BotBots for the coming months.

Earlier last week, Hasbro revealed through Screenrant.com a set of seven new tribes (Goo Goo Groupies, Season Greeters, Spoiled Rottens, Music Mob, Swag Stylers, Fresh Squeezes, and Playroom Posse) for the toyline. This included a list of names and wave breakdowns for Series 2 (April 2019) and Series 3 (August 2019). The line continues Series 1’s single, 5-pack, and 8-pack releases, with a healthy mix of redecos and new molds.

This news would be followed by shots of the blind-box assortment for Series 2, surfacing thanks to TFW2005’s prime roller and labeled by our own Jalaguy. The names previously listed in the Screenrant article can now be matched to the mix of returning and new BotBots designs for this blind-box series.

Soon the weekend itself brought us a lovely and expansive display with looks at the new packaging styles for the upcoming waves. Series 2 will have bright green blind-bubbles (after Series 1’s red), while Series 3 has orange. BWTF.com took some great shots (some mirrored here) that show off the breadth of the display and the variety of figures that await release this year.

Aside from the named figures above, visible in the adorable Energon-infused mall dioramas are a blue/yellow/teal redeco of Frostferatu, a red redeco of Dimlit, a blue/white redeco of Shredder Jack, a redeco of Spud Muffin with ketchup topping and a blue chest logo, and more.

Radio Free Cybertron had some great photos of their own, also showcasing the new additions as well as good looks at the packaging and assortments. Visible in RFC’s phtos, mirrored below, are previously-unseen upcoming figures, with such altmodes as a roll of tickets, a carton of popcorn, what seems to be a swirl of cotton candy, a pinball machine, and a lidded to-go cup of coffee.

Hasbro themselves also took to social media to stir up some more love for their adorable new toyline, tossing up closer looks at the upcoming figures and even some previously-unseen BotBots (such as the Arcade Renegades) and previously-unknown names (like Ol’ Tic Toc and Lovestruck).

Finally, and perhaps most interestingly, Radio Free Cybertron also got a good look at an unexpected addition: a BotBots Ultimate Collectors Guide book! With almost two hundred little critters to keep track of, this guide might be more essential than you think, and it’ll be an exciting wait to see more.

       there was something GREAT about this simulation -- in that there was no need for a central command center. junko OWNED this world, spirit and all. she KNOWS the secrets encoded in, has her fingers dipped within the truths. she has ALWAYS been aware of chiaki nanami’s secret in this world, a sadistic pleasure in knowing she is the CAUSE. but one of the most useful bits of this world is that she can control monokuma herself -- a piece of her moving stubby legs, her mouth is HIS mouth. it is all so useful.

      which is why she finds herself with the gamer -- that bear’s mouth open in a cackle as she watches her waste her PRECIOUS moments away behind a screen. dead, dead, DEAD -- but if her life is hidden by such things, hasn’t she always been dead? waddling forward, the bear reaches out and PULLS the plug to the machine, oh SUCH despair. the screen goes black and monokuma is left staring up at her.

Ne-never got the chance to use it back in Blood Gulch.”]

Another hasty scan of her surroundings told the reporter that their group was no closer to a plan of action than they were before. Finally, she relented.

The Lost Bots have these cubbies right?

What about the other Lost Bots? What would it look like?

Abominable Soundman - definitely those small speakers all over his cubby, maybe using one as a chair or a bed. He loves yodeling, maybe some pictures of that as well. Located above Ol' Tic Toc's cubby.

The Detangler - probably some super hero motifs, like comic book pages, or maybe decorating it to be like a hero's base. Maybe even some car air fresheners. He definitely keeps his cubby super clean, but unfortunately his cubby would be next to Clogstopper's cubby (it stinks, literally).

Fail Polish - ABSOLUTELY. SO. MUCH. PINK! Any shade of it! Definitely glitter or sequins! She would try to decorate herself, which obviously ended up with her place being a hot pink mess (but at least it looks somewhat like a cute bedroom). Maybe some make-up tools and jewellery become a wardrobe, table, bed and obviously a mirror.

Frostferatu - DEFINITELY BLACK. Lots of it! Too many vampire themed stuff decorated everywhere! But still a side of sweet themed stuff. Located next to Game Over's cubby

Game Over - a lot of gaming themes everywhere. Little posters of games that she's good at. Maybe some LED string lights. Located between Frostferatu and Grave Rave's cubbies.

Grave Rave - dark, with Neon spray paint. Some smoke (not sure where they're coming from). Some rave goth and Halloween motifs. Located next to Game Over's cubby.

Greeny Rex - some plant motifs, obviously. Maybe even some string lights. Located below to Hamurai's cubby.

Hamurai - he doesn't like decorating but the Lost Bots did manage to convince him. He only placed down a makeshift training dummy, so there's at least some effort by him.

Love Struck - all he did was put up some pictures of baseball, well focusing on the baseball bats (even drawing some hearts on them). His bed is a baseball glove.

Nanny Mcbag - definitely decorated to look like a grandmother's bedroom, some antique stuff like a pocket watch above her bed. But also a little box to store more useful things.

Ol' Tic Toc - probably clock related deco, on the walls of the cubby. His bed is definitely a wristwatch box.

Overpack - she would have her cubby covered in wall pouches!

PB Junior - his lil cubby would definitely be like a little kid's room, with drawings of the Lost Bots and some PB & J stains.

Rebugnant - a lot of bug exterminator deco and a little board on the side on how to get rid of the bugs (how thoughtful of her)

Rock Swagger - pictures of rock'n'roll all over, even some music notes. He does have a hard time sleeping in his cubby, but he's happy with it. Located next to Smooth Shaker's cubby.

Smooth Shaker - also with the music motifs, but with some fiesta style deco.

Sprinkleberry Duh'Ball - probably resembling a mad scientist's lab or something like that but hidden away, he has pictures and secrets of other bots, including the Lost Bots, let's just hope he won't use em anytime soon.

Stinkeye Stapleton - he doesn't want to decorate his cubby, but he can make one exception. A picture of every member of the Lost Bots altogether (hidden out of human view of course).

Strike Four - due to his tendency to break things, he really doesn't want to decorate his cubby. But that didn't stop the other Lost Bots, they decorated it for him. Some added pictures and stickers. It really made Strike Four happy.

Trisourtops - all he has are pictures of the Lost Bots and a simple bed made of mouldy bread.

Well this is just my take on what their cubbies would look like. Feel free to tell me yours.
