I got up before the sun the other day and managed to catch a. eruption of Old Faithful just as the sun was coming up over the treetops on the hill behind it.

We just got back on Friday from our stay in the park.

I took this photo at twilight. Why does it look like the middle of the afternoon? The moon. But it was not the afternoon. If you look closely, there are stars in the sky.

The moon is crazy, man.

is Korkie like obi wan’s son is that fanon whats the lore behind Korkie 👀

OH BAYLARDO, MY DEAR, YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS ONE.

Korkie is Duchess Satine Kryze's nephew in the Clone Wars show that shows up in a handful of episodes. It's been implied in the show that Satine probably raised Korkie/was VERY involved in his upbringing. He is a teenager (probably about 15-17???) And does some heartfelt sleuthing with his school buddies and also saves Satine a couple times. Cute lil buddy.

The very popular fanon for Korkie is that he is actually Satine and Obi-Wan's son because:

- Bo Katan is the only canon sibling of Satine we know of and she is too young to be Korkie's mom.

- Satine and Obi-Wan fell in love and spent a year on the run together before The Phantom Menace, and the timeline matches up for Korkie to have been born shortly after that year (ie Satine found out she was pregnant right after Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon would have left Mandalore to return to their usual Jedi duties on Coruscant).

- Korkie has a very similar facial structure to Obi-Wan and hair. He also has a lot of similar mannerisms and (not to get too Red String here), there are some shots of him in the show that parallel some shots and movements of Obi-Wan in a way that makes the ole associative brain go brrrrrrrrr.

- The writers/showrunners have implied on a few occasions that their original intention was for Korkie to be a secret Obi/Satine love child and they have never denied that in canon. The actors that voice Obi-Wan and Satine on the show seem to also be pretty in-favor of the theory and make a lot of comments and jokes about it too.

- Rumor has it there were discussions of making Rey a Kenobi via a Satine/Obi-Wan child and the logical conclusion would be that they were probably looking at Korkie to be her father.

The assumption is that Satine never told Obi-Wan (since he was ready to leave the order for her anyway) and so Obi-Wan has no idea he has a kid. Satine would have hidden the pregnancy and then presented Korkie as her infant nephew or, perhaps, as a Foundling she was adopting as a nephew.

I like this theory because there are some DELICIOUS political ramifications for Satine (Mandalorians hating Jedi and her being a young leader of a new government of a world recovering from a long and bloody civil war that almost wiped their whole population out), as well as character stuff with her deciding to hide Korkie's parentage and raising him on her own as her nephew. Also the whole Satine and Obi-Wan thing where they have a duty to each of their peoples and the conflict between the people they belong to that causes them to part ways is VERY TASTY and then the two of them coming back together during a war to be very Divorced But Still In Love is just my favorite thing. Piling a secret love child on top of all that just adds a LAYER I really enjoy hehehe.
