Pete and I headed out to cruise through Coronado considered eating at Las Custro Milpas but it opened to the public at 3pm and that was too late for the level of hunger we were experiencing. After joyride we settled on Old Town Mexican Cafe in Old Town. I wanted to mix it up so I ordered the half chicken mole with rice, beans and flour tortillas. I got a margarita on the rocks. Pete got the Chili Colorado burrito. We feasted and then wound things down. Back at La Pensione I relaxed until I talked myself into going across the street for a few beers at the Farmers Table. It was evening time and I decided on getting the grilled Brussel Sprouts followed by a chocolate molten cakes and a 3 olive dirty martini. I got a buzz and then called it a night. @farmerstablesd #farmerstablesd @oldtownmexicancafe #coronadoisland @oldtownsandiego #oldtownsandiego #chritmaseve #mexicanfood (at San Diego, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmpceCYvje6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

It is approximately 372 square miles. Its highest point 1,591 feet above sea level. It is known for ideal weather almost year-round. What is it? You’ve guessed right, it is “Sunny San Diego”.
My name is David Ahmed, and as Will Ferrell calls it in the movie Anchorman, I’m a “San Diegan”. I’ve been living in this beautiful city since 1995. Throughout the years I've come to explore and know some breathtaking sights and some wonderful eateries. I'm always up for outdoor activities because I like exploring new sites. Whether it’s hiking, sightseeing, or just relaxing and meditating by a beach, lake or pond. I also enjoy living it up a little by visiting new restaurants, coffee and dessert shops.
With that being said, whether you’ve lived in San Diego your whole life or temporarily calling it your home, you'll realize that San Diego has a lot to offer. In my upcoming blogs I will be taking you from east to west, south to north around San Diego and I'll share with you my perspective on what this big beautiful city has to offer.
I hope you get to discover some of San Diegos’ gems like I have.
Enjoy,
DC

#Repost @dorshan2 ・・・ #Repost @bringpennyhome with @get_repost ・・・ A guy with a husky-mix dog told a bizarre lie that made its way back to us. He said Penny was his dog and that he’d gotten her back (that she wasn’t lost anymore). It was a blond guy in his late 20’s/early 30’s. His dog was a husky mix with fur pattern markings that are orange-ish in color. He’d just caught/leashed a dog (presumably his), which was running in the street just south of Old Town. - I will post the full story on Penny’s Facebook page: Help Us Bring Penny Back. - - #oldtownsandiego #oldtownmexicancafe #drboydspetresort #dosbrasas #huskysofsandiego #huskysandiego #sandiegohuskygroup #sandiegohusky #sandiegohusky #lostdog https://www.instagram.com/p/BniL4eAlOBD/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17t4xevogo06g

It was a nice journey and once I was at the Santa Fe Depot Pete picked me up. We headed to my digs in Little Italy at La Pensione Hotel. A small boutique hotel I’ve stayed off and on for over 2 decades in San Diego when I didystay with friends. It turns out Pete and decided to have drinks at The Princess of Wales an old watering hole we’ve enjoyed on occasion since it opened in the early 80s. We then decided on Old Town San Diego for Mexican food. It was at the Old Town Mexican Cafe that we settled in for dinner. The city was alive, people were out in droves and we were masked and fully vaccinated. We ate carnitas. Pete worked at the Old Town Mexican Cafe when he was a teen. He told me the carnitas were the owners mother’s recipe. It was a joyous celebration of love and friendship as we ate, remember and shared thoughts of the last year and a half a part sprinkled with Politics. It was a great time and we were ready to call it a night because we had had a really long day. . . . @princesspubgrille @oldtownmexcafe @oldtownmexicancafe @littleitalysd #beers #mexicanfood https://www.instagram.com/p/CPgiVCgDDYs/?utm_medium=tumblr
