My name’s Eli, and this is my Omori sideblog (main @botaniia). Some more info about me and my stay in the fandom in this here pinned post.

I adore Stranger and Omori, and this blog’s gonna be a mixed bag of nightshade and other content. Other characters I love are Rowan, Omoriboy, Basil, Flower, and Sunny. I picked up the game in December of 2023 and instantly got attached, so now I have this blog to share some art, writing, and other fan creations, both my own and others’ ✨

Sorry to those who haven’t played/watch gameplays of Omori. But I remember this angsty au I had. There is a hint of Fran Bow. But trust me. There’s angst

Yuu is basically Omori/Fran. They spent their summer sleeping and living on their own, but have an odd dream one day. Their ‘adventures and friends’ was a dream. Because one day, Yuu doesn’t remember Twisted Wonderland. Or anyone from it. To them. It was a weird dream from Disney film marathon binge. Listen. People fucking collapse on it. So they remember they have enrolled into a new school and enter the school Midnight Crow Academia. And meet their new headmaster Sato Suzuki. Who warmly guides Yuu to their school and dormitory. He does wonder why Yuu feels so familiar. But he just says he probably rereading his new students files to make them feel at home. But Yuu tells them they do dream randomly and daydream. And Sato thinks it’s okay as long it doesn’t disturb the school education

Now each book is basically just Yuu have been occasionally warping into their daydreams and think of a magical world. Saying the school was called Night Raven College and they brought their talking fire cat Grim which is a regular Russian blue cat with bright blue eyes. Most of the students faces are familiar but can’t remember where they saw them. So now they made some of the first years to meeting most of their new classmates and seniors. But that unnerving feeling of familiarity keeps getting them back into their dream world. Where they see talents as magic tricks and so on.

OMORI. HE'S HE'S DONE SO MANY BAD THINGS RIGHT. RIGHT???? OKOKOK BUT WHAT IF HE REALIZED THE WEIGHT OF HIS ACTIONS AT THE VERY LAST SECOND RIGHT BEFORE HE FUCKING DIES (er. "dies." whatever you interpret him disappearing after his fight as) AT THE END OF THE GAME

OKOKOKOK SO THAT'S SAD ENOUGH RIGHT??? RIGHT???? DUDE IMAGINE THE GUILT HE'D FEEL. i know omori's not supposed to have emotions but shhh he does in this AU, so like. think about it. THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH PAIN THAT REALIZATION WOULD BRING TO HIM. HE WAS SO DEDICATED TO HELPING SUNNY ONLY TO REALIZE HE'D BEEN HURTING HIM THE ENTIRE TIME IT MAKES ME WANNA CRY (<- i wrote it)

that's it, that's gomenasai. it's gomenasai's ending at least. everything before that is buildup on omori's character+omori's slow acquisition of a consciousness and subtle emotions with a lot of tidbits about how much he cared about sunny without any idea of what he was really doing. HE CARED ABOUT HIM. SO MUCH. BUT. AAAAGH

anyways, onto yurushite. YA BOY'S BACK. HE'S ALIVE. why is that? really stupid reason but it's bc sunny's homesick as hell after moving and just not doing okay in general (his friends don't forgive him or basil for the Truth™) so he really just needed someone to talk to or just. some kind of comfort. so omori just...manifested again as a result. it's stupid, i know, but in my defense, it's pure wish fulfillment and also in a fanfic, not a novel i'm being paid to write. i think i can be let off the hook

so what's the first thing our boy does upon being back???? nothing. absolutely fuck all. he just wallows in white space for the next *fumbles paper* two years. by that i mean two years in headspace and like, a few days in reality.

what the fuck is that supposed to mean? headspace got a timeskip, that's what i mean. 4 years pass by in it in between the game's ending and yurushite's beginning. omori came back at its halfway point. also because of that he's grown older(16, the same age as sunny, to be specific. though i should probably clarify that he was 14 upon first coming back since that was 2 years before the timeskip finished up) and instead of looking prettier he's just gotten more disheveled. i draw him like he's a prettyboy but don't be fooled. this kid is completely dripless and cannot take care of his hair. like bro you're not supposed to cut that with your knife you dummy

anyways for the next two years he's sitting in white space wallowing in his own guilt and is noticeably Not Okay.

SO AT SOME POINT HE JUST GOES. FUCK IT. SUNNY'S ALSO NOT DOING OKAY AND I'M GONNA DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. SO HE DOES. (there actually is something specific that gets him to make that decision, but i'm gonna write it as a bonus thing here someday)

yknow how in the game it's hinted that omori can kiiinda influence sunny's actions? okay uh here he straight-up possesses him in his sleep. I KNOW IT'S STUPID BUT STILL

anyways. so he starts getting sunny to take better care of himself during the night. he gets him to go on jogs, eat leftovers he refused to chow down on earlier, grab midnight snacks if he's starving, simple stuff. ofc sunny catches on to this, and the second he realizes it's omori pulling this shit, he immediately thinks he's just gonna cause him trouble again. OMORI'S JUST TRYING TO HELP BUT ALL SUNNY CAN THINK OF IS THAT HE'S HURTING HIM AND AND WAAAAHHHHH 😭

Omori: Marvel Knights/Midnight Suns AU

Okay. So I'm in a Marvel kick atm, thus I decided to make this AU prompt. Also, this is an AU for my OC too, so Erika will have a major role.

Setup

So, this starts off similar to how I wrote Erika in her bio. However, after the accident, Erika desperately attempts to find ways to bring Mari back and repair her family.

She has been able to communicate with her, but chooses not to tell Sunny, due to concerns regarding on how he'll react. That said, he finds out anyway in secret.

Erika, Mari, and Sunny are completely unaware that demonic forces are watching them. A demon appears before Erika, promising to teach her a ritual to give her exactly what she wants, at the cost of her becoming a Spirit of Vengeance.

Erika chooses to take the risk, having reached several dead ends in a row.

Two years after the accident, Erika finally has a ritual to bring Mari home. She performs it, willingly becoming a Spirit of Vengeance to save Mari...and Mari returns to life as if she never died....

...Only for the reunion to be short-lived as Sunny's taken from the two sisters.

One month later, Erika teaches Mari the same ritual, only for it to fail, forcing Mari to share Erika's curse.

This ultimately leads into them becoming heavily depressed, which only fuels their anger and hatred towards Hell, sparking desires for revenge against it.

GHOST RIDERS/SPIRITS OF VENGEANCE

Erika

The oldest sibling of her, Mari, and Sunny. Takes Johnny Blaze's role. Became a Ghost Rider in an attempt to resurrect Mari. She succeeded, but at the cost of Sunny, which kickstarted her path of vengeance. Mari becoming a Ghost Rider only added fuel to the fire, as Mare now shares Erika's curse.

Erika solely blames herself for everything, thinking that she should've been home on the day of the accident, believing she could have prevented it entirely.

Is a biker for BACA. Personality is similar to what I wrote for her in her bio, with some Johnny Blaze in there.

Mari

Died in an accident similar to canon. Believed in Erika's attempts to bring her home, only to be heartbroken at the loss of Sunny. After her resurrection, Mari begged Erika to teach her the ritual that made her a Ghost Rider in an attempt to save Sunny. Unlike Erika's attempt though, it failed, due to her having died once before.

Mari now shares Erika's curse. She solely blames herself for what's happened.

Biker-in-training. Personality is similar to her Ghost/Resurrected Mari and H/O AU counterparts I made.

Unlike Erika, Mari is far more noble. Erika is a pure antihero, though she is respectful sometimes.

She is kinda inspired by Danny Ketch’s role as the Ghost Rider, but not much, if at all. Admittedly, I feel hesitant about giving her his role, given how writers like to make Danny a temporary villain sometimes for no real reason.

HALF-DEMONS/VAMPIRES

Hero

The more demonic of the brothers and the most morally-grey member of the group. He is conflicted between what he SHOULD do and what he WANTS to do. He believes that Erika is to blame for Sunny's demise and Mari's curse, which Kel is understandably angry about, as is Mari.

As such, he will be in conflict with Erika if Kel and Mari are not around. Of course, he won't succeed in his efforts, due to Erika being far stronger than him.

Kel

The more vampiric of the brothers. He struggles with his vampire instincts during full moons, super moons, and blue moons, so he has to sneak into a blood bank in order to keep himself in check. The last thing he wants is to be something he's not. He supports Erika and Mari's quest, albeit indirectly.

He doesn't want to get involved in their chaos to the point where he'd only get in their way. Is frustrated by this and Hero's morally-grey path, which has sparked some bad blood between the brothers.

MUTANTS/MAGES

Aubrey

The Mutant of the group. She's a combination of Magik (yes, this is an actual X-Men character) and Wolverine. She has some knowledge and capabilities in sorcery, but prefers brute force and her claws. She is similar to canon, but has some Logan in her. She couldn't bring herself to resurrect Sunny, believing that she'd fail regardless.

She doesn't blame anyone but the unfairness of the universe in general. To her, life is unfair to everyone and if it weren't unfair, terrible things would never happen to anyone.

Basil

Basil serves as the Doctor Strange of this AU. He is more or less similar to most HIKKI/OMARI-type AU versions of him, but he is less resentful in general. He's just sad at how powerless he feels, which is why he picked up sorcery. He tried many times to bring back Sunny on his own...and failed every time.

Here, Basil blames no one but his own powerlessness.

About Sunny....

So, I honestly don't know what I wanna do for Sunny. I know I want him to have a major role, but I don't know what characters he'd fit with.

Currently, the idea is that he'll be brought back, but under the influence of someone else....

Whether that be Dracula bringing him back to become essentially Morbius, Khonshu bringing him back to become his Moon Knight, or Sunny being resurrected to become a Ghost Rider by the forces of Hell.

CONCEPT: Genshin Omori AU about Scara in Irminsul

So essentially i just need to write this down and get some of it out of me so I can go to bed

SO BASICALLY: when scara goes into irminsul he goes into a sort of headspace esc thing (welcome to blue space youve been here as long as you can remember yadayadayada) The friends are Niwa, Small child, and Childe or Kazuha (honestly this just depends on who you ship/favor although i personally would want to make it Childe since it could be a like a friend symbolizing each segment of his life and i feel like childe would fit better for fatui time, although kazuha also works for that and you could get the familial aspect with him and niwa and im rambling but you get the point). Mari role is filled by Nahida since she seems like a good person to be the supportive comfort but also horror revealer. Then i think the best person to be Basil/stranger would be the traveler since they are the ones that bring Scara back in the first place. Headspace is essentially the genshin world but non of your friends are dead + no trauma + hmm some people seem to be mysteriously absent or unmentioned i wonder who (cough cough ei and dottore cough cough)

Real world and routes can function as un awakened wanderer going about his buissness in sumeru and choosing weather or not to interact with the traveler, so you either get the chores aspect or the exploration like real game

Real world story wise it would just follow the sumeru plot but at the end you get choices, remember - stay forgetting - just soort of lose yourself in irminsul(headspace ending)  - or die

Black space could essentially function as Scara getting some of his more unpleasent memories twisted around in his head, and ofc red space is just that x10, probably climax being a sort of hinting towards what he did to himself to make him forget.

Headspace quest could prob just be the same as in game, traveller sees the truth, goes missing, oh boy we gotta go find him WAIT OMG BASILS PICTURE BOOK COULD BE LIKE NAHIDAS STORY BOOK OMG ITS ALL COMING TOGETHER

About Omori Midnight Cast (Headspace, Perfect Melody):

Mari (Dream):

After recently entering this strange world, dubbed "Perfect Melody", Mari at first is very curious to her surroundings. She thinks logically and is grounded at times, however it is shown that sometimes she will let her emotions get the best of her, especially when it comes to her little brother SUNNY. She is very close to her friends and is always on watch over them to ensure that everyone is okay. She doesn't enjoy fighting but is willing to resort to violence if absolutely necessary.

Aubrey (Dream):

Rebellious and Emotional. She is charged by her deep rooted sense of emotional mortality and justice. She lets her anger get the best of her and is very loyal towards her friends, but since she wears her heart on her sleeve, words can have a huge impact on her mood and energy. But she will still pack a punch with her bat!

Kel (Dream):

Kel is naturally competitive by nature, especially when it's towards Aubrey. Frequently, they both will get into bickering and scuffles. regardless of this nature, he still has a deep care for his friends and wishes for the best for them all. He's willing to give all to his friends so it means that they are happy. Although he tries to always be positive and happy about the situation, he can at times stoop down to pessimism though during these times he manages to always get himself back up.

Hero (Dream):

Hero is known as the mentor of the group. he is one of the closest tamari and loves to treat everybody with fairness and respect. Although he sometimes strive to a perfectionism, he usually likes to keep it on the low rather than showing it out to everyone else. He's very mature and he is very grounded in his reality, He's also very good at helping others with deep emotional pain. He loves pleasing others, even if it means they won't help him

Basil (Dream):

Basil is the pacifist of the group. He loves gardening with his plants and he loves teaching others about any types of weeds and plants. He does not like entering into any fights and he loves to keep everything at peace. You can also know him as the peacemaker of the group. He's usually the one who goes in the middle of conflicts and tries to resolve them through peaceful manners. But, he will use violence if it means protecting the ones he cares deeply about similar to Mari.

Sunny (Dream):

Although he is very quiet, he loves playing his violin. Not much is know about him other than he does not like to speak and is usually around his older sister, MARI. Sunny is loyal to his sister and is very intelligent for his age. He likes to draw when he is free and loves to imagine.

Sweetheart:

A temporary addition to the team, she loves herself the most. Although she has her snarky attitude, experiencing rock bottom for the first time has knocked her down a few pegs. She is a bit more mature and understanding of others, but mostly just keeps her old habits when it's best benefits her. She does have an obsession with Hero, but is always blocked by Mari when she tries to advance.

A Prompt that came from a Challenge

(Well, not quite from the challenge of @natedogx15, but it motivated me to post it here)

 This is an AU that involves Indie Horror RPGs (I haven’t played all of those below, but I know the basic plot of most), Winx Club and Steven Universe. The AU of @ask-the-rpg-3 was what gave me the idea.

Besides the dimension of Earth, where us humans live on, there are a lot of different dimensions. Some of them are the Monster Realm, the Paintings Realm, Shadows Realm, Plants Realm, and, most importantly, the Sorcerers Realm.

The Sorcerers come from a Magic Dimension, and they are ruled by the three most powerful sorcerers, who are also immortal. Their society is harsh and cold, where you must obey all the rules if you don’t want to be punished.

These sorcerers, to get more and more powerful, travel from realm to realm to steal their mana/life essence, leaving these dimensions barren and lifeless.

A Sorceress, a long time ago, though, decided to fight for Earth and started a rebellion. Her name was Fran Bow, a sorcerer of the cosmos. Their group name was the Mages of Gaia.

The mages thought against the sorcerers to save the planet and managed to do that… but, there was a cost. The fourth leader needed to be eliminated.

Her three siblings were furious, and, on a last attempt, they cast a curse on most rebels, transforming all of the mages into monsters.

However, these mages left children with dormant magic blood, that only needed a small spark to be activated.

Fran, who protected herself with a powerful enchantment stayed alive and safe.

Years passed, and, for some mysterious reason, 4 descendants, after generations, unlocked their magical potential, and need to be trained by Fran Bow, specially considering the threat of more sorcerers coming back to Earth.

Now that the story is explained, time to talk about the magic system. The magic system is similar to Winx, except that there is no difference between wizards, witches, and fairies. They are all sorcerers here with magic transformations (magic winx, enchantix and so on, but no wings).

The main 4 characters are:

- Sunny, the sorcerer of dreams (Omori): He has the power of manipulating Dream Energy (basically blue lantern powers), reading people’s thoughts and so on.

- Madotsuki, the sorceress of absorption (Yume Nikki): She can touch objects and absorb their abilities (like, touching a candle gives her fire powers. Yes, this ability is inspired on her effects of the game).

- Kris, the NB sorcerer of determination (Deltarune): his magic allows him to create a magical aura that enhances his natural abilities (he can get super-strengh and speed, as an example).

- Ib, the sorceress of plants (Ib): she can manipulate and create plans (but Fran is teaching her how to create portals between realms).

 The other characters are not quite their own selves, they are mostly Steven Universe Counterparts:

Fran Bow: Rose Quartz.

Mr. Midnight: Lion.

Ryo (Crowscare), sorcerer of light: Peridot.

Embry (It’s not me, it’s my basement), NB sorcerer of Crystals: Lapis (Being trapped in a mirror kept them as a child).

Amanda (Amanda the Adventurer), sorceress of shape: Bismuth. (Being Trapped on Mr Midnight kept her from aging too).

Aya (Mad Father), sorceress of death: Jasper.

Misfortune (Little Misfortune), sorceress of Dimensions: Pink Diamond.

Venna (Crowscare): White Diamond.

Rune (Crowscare): Blue Diamond.

Alfred (Mad Father): Yellow Diamond.

 The rest, I haven’t decided, but, the one writing it can come up with it.

Remembering that, in this universe: Omori good route events would have happened, Ib’s events wouldn’t have happened, Deltarune’s wouldn’t have happened either (and the monsters would live in their own realm), and Yume Nikki’s events, well… they are dreams that happen time and time again, so, they did, but can happen again (except the ending).

Today I organized msot of the fics I had in my read later list to actually start reading them. That gave me the idea, why not recomend some? So here are some fics. This isn't an exsaustive list of the best of the best, since I don't have the energy for something like that. simply, these are some fics I liked.

"An alien interpreter on a human planet comes across a particularly powerful piece of music from a busker."

A 600 word light angst post-good ending reading with an unusual premise, I like it for that.

"31st 1/3" by Kerbonaut

"Mari has been gone for longer than she was here. Sunny confronts the fact."

A 800 word light angst post-good ending with a really pretty prose.

"as the clock struck midnight" by octotaviaorsmthidk

"a short, single-chapter au about the main 6 in omori hanging out at the end of the world."

A 900 words angsty read with a concept that right up my alley and which executes just right in the first half. the second half kinda lost me a bit, it's not bad, just not (in my eyes) as good as the first half.

"Dead Lilies" by wrstwrtr

"Sunny realized he was no longer a star in the void. He had died, exploding into a stunning supernova before sputtering out into a black hole that destroys and cries, screams, and aches, waiting silently to fade out of existence."

A 1300 words read divided in two chapters thats some heavy angst. I find this really capturates Sunny's deplorable state the years following Mari's death. it hits!

"Kill calamitous fettuccini: The unworthiness" by anonymous

"I swear to god this story is 98% true."

A 1600 words crackfic that's basicaly a creepypasta parody. have you ever wanted to read a omori creepypasta? here you have it.

"born to love you" by andrewwtca

"Yukina Suzuki's life was hard, but at the very least, she had her children to love and look after… Had her children."

A 1700 words really angsty fic that feels like being punched in the gut. If you wanna read more depictions of Sunny's mother you can't miss this one out!

"More to be found beneath the black" by lesleynoble

"Sweetheart had always felt a profound emptiness. Nothing in her life, no matter how many things she tried, worked to fill it. Then, she died, swallowed by darkness along with the rest of her world. And she woke up, back in her bed, the world reset to an established status quo. She needed answers."

A 2000 words angst fic with one chapter until now that explores Sweetheart's character.

"Stranger hosts a party (sort of)" by orphan account

"Set after the fight with Stranger in the Hikikomori Route. Stranger gives up on trying to help Sunny and instead sets out to host a party with a bunch of residents of Black Space."

A 5000 word fluff and crack reading, divided in 4 chapters. It's a fun read, of blackspace characters being silly. I think is good for the festivities, since it's party-themed!

"The sun reaches my bed" by Yufiduspawn

"Sunny’s chest feels lighter. His conscience is a bit clearer. He may never get the happy ending he wants, he may never be forgiven. That’s okay he thinks, he can forgive himself at least. He can live the rest of his days trying to find out what happiness will look like to him. Time to rise and shine."

A 10000 word post-good end reading, divided in 8 chapters until now. This one has quickly becme one of my favorites post-good end, with the way it handles Sunny telling the truth and he reaction of the friends.

"Sunny takes the first step in starting a new life. The trouble with it is he never thought he'd live this long.

Sunny-centric post good-end fic"

A 16000 words read divided in 3 chapters until now. light angst. I think post-good ending fics centering around Sunny's life in the city are my favorites, and this one fits well in what I like about those.

"deep sea reprieve" by IAmTheShpee

"It is one week before his first recital with his sister. It’s a hugely important event, and Sunny has to get it perfectly right. He needs to, there’s no other choice. But everything changed when he finds a tiny, baby mer hiding away in a tide pool. What will become of Sunny, Mari and Omori?"

A 18000 word au mostly fluff reading, divided in 10 chapters until now. I'm not one that gravitates towards aus very much, but this one was fun to read and I read it in one go.

"Allegretto ma non troppo" by Tsibiu

"Sunny picks up the violin again, determined to finally perform the recital that never happened.

About Sunny's growth in the backdrop of a new goal. Takes place post-canon, ~1 year after the good ending. Very slow-paced and introspective in tone. Rather Sunny-centric. Attempts to be realistic and canon-compliant."

A 39000 words angsty reading, divided in 5 chapters until now, that I believe is worth it for the style alone. As the summary says, is pretty slow-paced, lots of metaphores and really pleasant to read.Right up my ally, but I guess it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

well im not very good at explaining my reasons for liking these but hopefully there's something you'll like.
