Hey! Have a question about the bottom of your anifaux rentry! It doesn't really make sense to me? 🤔 /lh

I'm wondering why an alter can't be anifaux if the system isn't, as it's not like.. Something that affects the body? Just the person? It's not like a disorder or disability? Its like, if an alter were a furry or kin? The rest of the system wouldn't be affected by that (Mean this in the most lighthearted way possible, just questioning because I don't understand all that well and would like to :''))

Hey !! So it is not just a chosen identity, but quite the opposite! Anifauxies, as a child, connect to animals for comfort through neglect or trauma. It's a psychological development , not just a silly title anyone can use. It does affect the body and the brain !!! someone who develops without enough human interaction will have EXTREME difficulty in social settings and society, and if you're an anifaux, you connected to animals instead of people as a child to cope. It physically changes your behavior, love languages, etc.

Example ! Because we were heavily neglected as a kid, we sought out learning and comfort from our family pets. We watched how our family cat would purr, knead blankets, and nurse on things. We picked this up as a soothing mechanism , and now subconsciously make a purring like noise or fidget and knead on things to calm down when anxious.

Our family dog used to chew on stuff all the time! Loved bones, toys, shoes, etc. We would grab rubber bath toys as a little kid and sit right next to him on the floor while watching wildkrats. it was SUCH a routine for us. To this day, we have major issues with subconsciously chewing on things/putting random stuff in our mouth !!

Because of our dogs, we find ourselves smelling things before we eat them. Smell is super important to us and we have a crazy good nose. If we like someone, the first thing we want to do is bury our nose into them and INHALEEE. We recognize people better by scent than we do by name or face.

We prefer to be outside more than inside !!! We get zoomies when we happy (running around , rolling, intense vocal stimming all at once) , We love people like a dog. We better fit in with a random dog we've never met than a close human.

Our brain as a child developed along with animalistic behavior and instinct due to animals being our main caregivers and distraction. It is something that permanently changed our brain, and we can't undo it. Anifaux was coined to reclaim our own identity and say that it's not our fault we were neglected and sought out comfort from pets, and that it's okay we struggle with people. We are deserving of love.

so all in all, if you didn't experience major neglect / social disconnection through childhood and latch into animals instead, you don't really understand the experience or the hardships that come with it!!! that's why we say only a bodily anifaux can have alters who experience the same.

This isn't something we choose, it's something we reclaim and give a name to so we can find others like us.

Hello, everyone! Navina (or Black Swan) here. I'd like to make a personal announcement:

I've been thinking of opening a Ko-Fi account for a while, and after a lot of time debating on the matter, it is finally done. You can view the page right here!

In a serious note, I'd like to formally apologize for the lack of activity. I've been going through a lot of things and I had to take a step back in writing, especially when it got really, really personal/difficult to run this blog. I do plan on getting back to posting, but I cannot guarantee this blog to be back on its usual momentum like it used to.

As many of you noticed, I've been posting less because of the motivation dropping since Flawed. I've been cooking up some posts in the past, but with how complicated things are, it's been extremely difficult to push myself to write.

I am also going through a lot of personal issues, some that leave me financially strained (as a college student), hence why I opened commissions. Its not required for you to commission me if you can't, but it is why I made the page.

As a heads up: I plan on opening up editing commissions for my rentry/editing blog (@/dxxth-gxd), but that is still a huge ???. Do not get your hopes up in case it does not go through.

And finally, I plan on returning to writing very soon. I have a long and very big fic working and it may serve as my comeback to this blog (with new banners too!) but I ask that you remain patient. I'm (truthfully) not in the best state of mind, but I'm working my butt off to bring the best quality of my work for all of you who are still around.

I'm so sick of the policing that goes on not; not just identity policing, but also the whole idea of "if your X you're a horrible person and should die" [I've literally seen this on someone's rentry]. It genuinely scares me

It's crazy that online communities are so divided and horrible to eachother. The whole being "pro" vs "anti" debates (on just about anything; I mean like, systems, fiction, certain labels) boggle my mind; and maybe this is because I'm hyper empathetic but I genuinely cannot just pick a side on any of these things; they're pushing everything into black and white, a binary that the queer community once fought against. There's too much nuance, too much gray area to lump everything into either "A" or "B," yknow?

It makes me so sad. Outside the internet, things - generally - aren't like that. There's always been outliers, sure, haters and trolls and shit stirrers (4chan, for example) have always been here too, but they weren't the majority, they didn't have as much of a platform as they do now. What happened to understoodjng that a) everyone's entitled to their own opinions, even if we don't agree, and b) we're all freaks in the eyes of the majority anyway.

There will always be problematic things, there always has been, and while it's good to draw attention to these things, it's far less good when you start throwing members of your own communities under the metapborical bus for so called "crimes" that are really just a matter of differing opinion.

It just makes me so sad and so scared. It shouldn't be this way. Why have we let it become this way?

There will always be two sides to everything, no matter what it is. It can be simple, political, ethical, etc. There will be two sides because people form those sides, when a lot of these things can be agreed upon. This is how everything has been and it's been a massive issue, especially online, because it creates unnecessary discourse.

hi guys!! school starts tomorrow, and I’ll be going to a new school, so it’s gonna be pretty hectic for me… because of this, I think I’ll be taking things a little slower? ➖ We do if we're talking about system experiences. We often forget on here. While talking to people on discord we often use pk. It's so people know what they can and can't talk about i.e Don't talk Abt Belos around Hunter, Don't talk about the Kraang around me(Leon) etc. Also I'd like to sign off because I use they/he and hate She Pronouns, whereas some people use He/She and hate They pronouns.

HII your theme is GORGEOUS..!! I was wondering how you made the dividers split so each section/part/thing is a different colour so perfectly? I see those types of dividers and I love them so much but I don't know how people are doing it. I want to try getting into editing and I want to start with my blog theme!

haii , n thank uuu !! (≧▽≦) so basically i get the plain version of the divs first — (which can usually be found in resource rentrys — if u cant find it, lmk and ill send it to u!)

and then i just put/open the said divider image into a editing app / software of my choice (ive seen people use ibispaint for these types of dividers, not photopea yet — which is what i use.)

i see people on ibis paint click that magic wand thingy(?) icon and click on the image to mask/clip it (basically so nothing goes outside the lines) — then I just see them colour it in, i don't know how they do their lines so perfectly though (*TーT)b

for photopea , I open the image first, and click the little block / box on the left, where the other tools are, but it should say shape somewhere if u clicked the right thing. (I dont colour because its difficult for me with a cursor lol 😭)

then I picked the first color I wanted and made a shape ontop of the dividers, once I thought the shape was fine enough, I right clicked the shape layer (should be on ur left) and clicked clipping mask.

thats how I personally did my colours 😭 — I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense and theres probably typing errors, please ask someone if it doesn't, I think eskeys has a tutorial for this — but I can't find it ?

Gif Making Tutorial: Lightworks Edition

I also uploaded this tutorial on rentry and will link it in the source as well.

This is a guide on my own personal gif-making process using lightworks & Photoshop 2023. This does not mean it is the only way, the right one, or anything of the sorts. This is just the way that I have found that works for me and I was asked to share it.

What you need:

Lightworks -> Download Here

Step #1 When you first boot up Lightworks you'll be greeted with this screen. First, you'll want to hit create a new project which will show the pop-up. You can write whatever you'd like for the title & description as it does not matter here.

Step #2 Now we are greeted with Lightwork's dashboard we want to import the media we will be using. On the left of the screen towards the bottom you are greeted with a container called libraries with a bunch of different options below it.

We want to hit Local Files and find our video. You may have to fiddle around and find the correct folder (as I'm unsure where it opens originally). Once you find your video, select it, and then click the "import" option located at the bottom left.

Step #3 Our next step is a bit much so I have also included a video to help. We are going to drag the media onto the timeline as well as remove the audio. Removing the audio is a personal choice, however, I do so because I do want to hear a movie/show in 3-5 second clips :).

Text Guide:

Select media using left click on your mouse and drag it onto the timeline.

Click however many "audio" tracks you have (and make sure you have selected the video one), right-click, and select delete.

Step #4 This is where/when we'll be making the "clips" that will become our gifs. Lightworks has a similar video scrubber as many other programs (however, it happens to have two, but that matters not) which you can use to quickly go through your video. We'll be using two main functions here -- play/pause & clip.

To start/stop the video you can hit the spacebar & to clip the video you hit the C key on your keyboard.

You can let the video play and "clip" as you go, or you can go ahead and clip out parts you know your character isn't in, it truly depends on what you feel flows the best. I will include a screenshot of what a video looks like clipped.

Each spot where you see a "line" through the video is a separate clip, which in turn, is a separate gif. You'll want to do this for your entire video until your timeline has a bunch of little clipped parts.

Step #5 Our next step is taking all of our clips and exporting them as their own seperate files. Follow the steps below

Right click the video one track.

Find the option that says make.

Under make select Syncs....

Select V1 segments from the new pop-up.

Depending on how many clips you have it might take a few seconds to a few minutes. Once it loads you will see a bunch of new clips!

Step #6 Now we want to export all of these clips and Lightworks makes it really easy!

Select all the NEW clips (click one, hold shift, and select).

Right-click any one and select export.

Scroll down until you see H.264/MP4 & pick that option.

Another pop-up will appear! Make sure that it is exporting to the correct folder and then select start! Two windows will pop-up but do not worry. Window #1 is Lightworks exporting the clips and Window #2 is the tasks log.

If you go to the folder where you set them you save them -- you'll see all the clips ready to be imported into photoshop!

You're now photoshop ready!

And now you are ready to import your clips to photoshop and start gifing away! I hope this helped and if you have any questions -- please do not hesitate to send me an ask, or a DM, and I will do my best to help :)!

heyyyyy :33 i've never watched any anime because i struggle to process things fast, and subtitles is part of that because i don't speak Japanese, so I would need to use subtitles for a lot of them and that would make it very difficult for me to take in the show. i've briefly watched a little bit of BNHA, but I wasn't super into it. However, I do want to start watching some in the future, after I've learned some Japanese! if you have any that are in English that you would recommend, I would love that :0

and as for carrds, i love them! i really love graphic design because it sensorily pleases the Tism', i've only made one but i'll probably make a few more! i've never made or taken a look at rentrys, they confuse me a bit tbh :33
