thinking about when todd calls out people (specifically when he drags patrick spring and suzie boreton) you can tell hes adressing himself and his flaws whilst also happening to tear into them

so in 1x07 when he gets mean towards dirk 'monster who ruined his life' i feel its very much a self-hate response thats hes taking out on dirk

#i do think he was angry at dirk tho but its complicated and messy yknow #dghda #todd brotzman #dirk gently's holistic detective agency #dghda meta #i mentioned this in my fic 'take me with you' and then proceeded to never think of it again #until now!!!!11 #maybe the 2x07 argument also came from a place of deep internalisation too #im too tired to check #it def came from a place of 'im trying to be better' but overcompensating to a point of being misguided #and coming across as 'this is not what the other person needs rn'#one day i will make a post abt the 2x07 arguement cause i think its interesting to analyse
