Dc x dp idea 12
Danny sealing away the previous ghost king came back to haunt him. Someone freed him. He also has the crown and ring again. Maybe the fruitloop maybe a cultist who knows. Danny has words.
No one is able to stand up to him. His rouges tried his allies tried. I like the idea of ghost speak so they just can’t do anything. Danny and Vlad have a natural resistance to his orders as half human.
Background knowledge Giw is a huge thing. Like it’s supported by a lot of ppl. They have actually had Danny at one point before sam and tucker busted him out.
Danny and pariah are in a fight. It’s an official one on one fight. They end up in the human realm. Danny realized right away that they changed locations.
Danny went from attack to protect. Majority of his power is going to protect the people. Ice walls, shields anything he can. Danny is stopping the crazed lunatic from destroying houses and entire cities. This continues for a long time.
With a blast from both pariah and Danny they both disappear.
Reform is brought. Sam tucker and jazz lead it. No longer are the anti-ecto laws a thing. Time passes and the reformed laws are the bases of the meta human rights. Phantom is remembered as a hero who stopped pariah. Everyone thinks the two took each other out.
Danny’s friends and family are long gone at this point. But a portal opens and out the two come. They had fallen into a portal that lead them to future.
So now there fighting yet again in the human world. Danny managing to get more offensive as others are dealing with the humans. He doesn’t necessarily notice this.
He is to focused on pariah to notice the flying cosplayer and the furries.
In the end danny gets the crown away from him. The two only work when both are wielded. This time danny forces pariah into his core which ends the duel.
Pariahs core glows and fizzles out of existence. Danny is now king.
So now the justice league has to deal with a newly crowned king. One who has no trust in the government has been displaced in time and all his family is dead.

Neopets discourse is always funny to me because whenever drama starts up 90% of the time it's over something that's just objectively really silly
For example, right now there's neo-billionaires threatening to quit the site over a rare item being released, which wouldn't be funny except the item in question is a tiny pea wearing a Santa hat

sometimes I wish that every article naming how much a public service would cost (or how much it would cost to repair needed infrastructure for the service or to make the service more accessible to disabled people and poor people) would explain that number in terms of how much time it takes a billionaire to earn that much.
like "it would cost $8.6 million (or, a little under one hour of Bezos's earnings) to build a new public library building in this area which would serve 45 thousand people."
money is literally a social and political representation of how we are choosing to allocate resources. I wish these direct comparisons were made so people who haven't yet made the connection might at least start asking "huh... why should we allocate these resources to one person to do nothing with them instead of to 45 thousand people in the form of an essential service? why do we allocate this amount of resources to this one person every single hour of every single day but it's unthinkable to provide it to tens of thousands of people just once? why are tens of thousands of people (of which I am one), all of us collectively, less valuable than this one guy?"

A lot of discussion lately about whether or not jason fans hallucinated a character who cares about his community (the ‘protects women and kids’ thing), but i think that’s doing us a disservice and frankly letting DC off the hook.
Its not unreasonable to dislike that DC consistently makes the kid with the poorest background the most violent and selfish. (And the second poorest, Steph, the most incompetent).
Its not wild to extrapolate that someone who was first characterised as being Too Upset About Rape Victims and later characterised as prepared to take action where others won’t, could be getting involved in that kind of work.
It’s not crazy fans being blind to canon when we don’t want the sole voice of reason on the subject of community support to be the benevolent billionaire.
It’s not delusional behaviour to make fanworks where the guy heavily implied to be a child victim of sexual assault takes on responsibility for other victims.
Is that what DC gave us? No, they didn’t bother to address it.

and what happens when willis todd finds out his little boy died. he knows billionaire bruce wayne adopted jay-- the whole damn country knew.
so why. why did his baby boy get a better chance at life than willis could provide, just for him to still die before him, before he became an adult?
how could willis give up his parental rights to bruce wayne, the most privileged man on earth, expecting this man to keep his baby safe and happy and healthy-- when his little jay still died alone and scared.
bruce wayne had everything he could ever ask for. he had all the means to keep his son safe from any harm. and yet jason still died before he even reached his sweet sixteen.
willis thinks that maybe it's a family curse-- a curse he has to live with, knowing that he's failed everyone he's ever loved.

Jazz is Damian's bio sibling, not Danny
I see tons of Demon Twin AUs, and I love them, but I started to wonder about what the universe would look like if Jazz was Damian's sister.
Not sure what her birth name in this AU would be (Yasmin? Yasmina? Something else) so I'm going to just refer to her as Jazz.
I'm thinking that Jazz was attempt #1 at getting the perfect heir, and for whatever reason, she was deemed to be inferior. Is there something actually wrong with her? No, but Ra's is an asshole. If you'd like to go a more sexist route, Jazz could be unworthy because she's female (in this AU, Ra's keeps Talia around to make an heir, not to be the heir).
Despite not being the perfect child they wanted, Talia and Ra's train Jazz until they are able to try again. She's taught as if she was the heir, even though everyone knows she isn't, because there isn't a better choice at the moment.
When Jazz is three, Damian is born. Damian is her little brother and she loves him as best she can, but Damian is raised to treat her as inferior, and it shows. Everyone looks down on her, especially Ra's, and that attitude is the example Damian follows.
Jazz is still trained, because if nothing else she could still be an assassin, but no one holds out much hope for her. She isn't as talented as Damian, even though she's older. She's not as strong or as stealthy or as cutthroat. She is more clever, but she is older than him, so it's brushed off. Besides, good assassin soldiers don't need to be clever, they just need to obey.
But where Damian excels in the physical arts, Jazz excels at the mind arts. Solving puzzles, recognizing patterns, psychoanalyzing her opponents to predict their moves - that's what she's good at. It's clearly inherited from Batman (no one can explain her red hair, though).
When Jazz is eight and Damien is five, Jazz flees the League. Why and how is your choice. Maybe Damian is supposed to kill her in a show of superiority. Maybe Talia helps her fake her death and escape as a final act of motherly love. Maybe Jazz flees on her own, wanting to be something else even if she doesn't know what.
Jazz makes it to America, and then to a little podunk town in the middle of nowhere, Illinois, called Amity Park. She meets the Fenton parents and their almost six-year-old son, Danny. And somehow, they take her in. And for a while, it's the family she wished she had, with loving parents and a little brother who didn't want to stab her.
Danny isn't Damian. He isn't a replacement. She knows that they aren't the same. They are radically different, even if they both make her want to cuddle and love them (at least Danny doesn't try to stab her for doing it). She can miss Damian and what could have been while embracing what she has found.
And for a while, she's happy.
Sure, she didn't expect her little brother (Danny is her Little Brother, Damian is her Baby Brother, there has been and will always be a difference to her) to die and come back, but she's seen weirder stuff when she was in the League.
She also didn't expect Danny to use his newfound powers to become a hero, but it's his choice, and she's going to support him. At least she has her League training to fall back on, even if she's a bit rusty.
And yeah, she was hoping that her adoptive parents would take Danny's halfa status a lot better than they did, but she'd always known it wasn't going to end well. She's always been good at recognizing behavioral patterns, and theirs said nothing good. But she'd hoped, for Danny's sake, that she would be wrong.
She never thought she would flee for her life for a second time, but here she is, driving a stolen car with her unconscious and bleeding brother in the backseat, heading towards the one place she swore she would never set foot in: Gotham.

sorry to keep posting about this because i'm sure it is deeply unpleasant for people who experience empathy or are more capable of conceptualizing the actual reality of the situation but i am. completely and utterly beyond bafflement at every detail of the Billionaire Submersible Incident. it sounds so utterly like a piece of cautionary horror fiction that would be considered too heavy-handed. i don't know what emotion to feel in the slightest.
like, even putting aside the whole, uh, bolted shut from the outside like renowned horror game iron lung, the amount of sheer fiction-level on the nose metaphors of this Real Life Situation That Is Really Happening, For Real, In Real Life, Not In A Piece Of Speculative Fiction Warning Against The Dangers Of Fucking With The Goddamn OCEAN Because You Think Money Makes All Consequences A Moot Point:
the passengers are:
known Rich Guy Who Pays Exorbitant Amounts Of Money To Do Stupidly Dangerous Things As A Hobby [metaphor for the way money and power incentivizes people to tempt fate because they have never truly experienced consequences]
famous diver who has made over 30 dives to the titanic [metaphor for the dangers of obsession]
billionaire with unspecified investment in this situation who brought his son with him. [metaphor for the impact of fucking with forces better left alone on our descendants]
the CEO of the company, who has gone on record dismissing the importance of safety features and has not had his submersible which is bolted shut from the outside tested or inspected by any professional accredited body for reasons of it being "too innovative". [tale as old as time about the inventor being destroyed by his invention]
and they're attempting to visit the goddamn titanic
what kind of greek tragedy levels of hubris is this fucking horrorshow. god is either dead or laughing.

It's all well and good for the twitter people to say that they are going to attempt to make musk lose money like the tumblr/yahoo situation, but the fundamental issue there is that to be able to do such a thing, it would require the people that tweet to stop tweeting. This is a problem because twitter people LOVE to tweet

Kardashians get criticized all the time (deservedly so). Can you really say that Taylor Swift faces even an ounce of backlash the Kardashians do? In fact everytime you criticize her RIGHTFULLY SO, her stans leap to her defense. Who is defending the Kardashians?
My question why should we be obliged to uplift Taylor only? She has the acknowledgement from every critic, every award show, every institutional body that can give you legitimacy, a huge fanbase that's crazy for you. Why should we peasant folks be also obliged to uplift this already privileged woman?
Taylor Swift deserves criticism for:
1. Being an eco terrorist. 🙄
2. Her liberal white feminism that lacks intersectionality.
3. Her refusal to use her platform to give her voice to pressing issues while branding herself as an icon for the culture.
She is a BILLIONAIRE. She is not oppressed, she is not a victim and her stans need to stop being annoying about her.
i don't know what you are talking about bestie. cause she is clearly oppressed and a tortured poet and she has been wronged by every person in her life. so her fans must defend her. 😔
