#but leaving a DV situation that everyone but the professionals refuse to call a DV sit is so weird#one random thing that is actually totally normal but seems legit psychotic for me to experience is that i can shower whenever i want ??????#my parents have always been super controlling about when i could shower#i heard certain windows of time i was allowed to shower; only after certain activities was i allowed i shower#my mom would even time my showers sometimes and turn off the shower when i was being ‘too long’ aka usually after about 3 to 5 minutes#and now i can just … shower whenever i want#if i get off work at 10pm and shower and 11; there’s no one to judge me#i can now shower for 10-15 minutes if i need (and i usually don’t) instead of only 3 minutes#it’s so strange and weird to think about how this is a BASIC hygienic routine that i simply wasn’t granted#like it’s almost difficult for me to shower sometimes and not because of depression but because i don’t deserve to shower#and that’s such an insane thing fr fr#it’s been like 2.5 months and i’m still facing so much whack ass bullshit that convinced me to believe#personal
