I'm upset that OUR tags: Israel, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Jewish, Judaism etc were conquered & filled to the brim with antisemites.
same, some are excusing it as a way to avoid "censorship", but tags like Rafah, Gaza, Palestine, Genocide, Middle East, etc have been trending multiple times this month alone.

In my sister's university, men made a protecting circle around women and provided a safe route of scape for them when the security gaurd attacked and wanted to capture them. I want more of this support and unity.

Funny that you are the one saying this, Erik, when this is exactly what you were forced to do by the writers all this time. Always "the terrorist" never "a revolutionary". Always the bad guy, whose demands are "too radical", forced to want to exterminate all humans for mutants' peace of mind, when the only thing you ever wanted was to keep everybody safe from what you yourself suffered at the hands of your opressors.
To be clear: I'm not making fun of him. I'm glad he can say this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering what is happening, doesn't this sentence remind you of some Middle East country that commits genocide right about now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TELL THEM OFF, MAGNETO!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, are you ready to step onto this path, Erik? A path where you no longer strive to exterminate those who exterminated your own, but a path to build a better future for all of the people on this planet? To let them learn how to coexist in harmony just as Charles always wanted?
Don't take me wrong, Charles also had his flaws. His ideas were more often than not reinstatement of the status quo rather than pushing it, but it's better than falling back into the circle of hate that Magneto did. So, will we finally see the de-radicalization of Magneto? Will we see him abandon genocide of the humanity and finally embrace the non-fascist approach that was denied to him since the time immemorial?

Why, in my opinion, Arnheid is the true heroine of Vinland Saga season 2
I think I never talked about Vinland Saga here in tumblr, although I've been mulling over the events of this last season (season 2). I've read complaints, from the beginning, that it's a very slow season and that it doesn't contribute anything, but I suppose that comes from people who only likes teenage Thorfinn.
From the beginning there's this idea that in war there is no honor or glory; because there can be neither honor nor glory in something that consists of shedding blood and taking the lives of other people.
Thorfinn is a boy, a male kid, and as a boy, he grows up with very defined expectations and a role in a warrior society; therefore, when it happens what happens, it is he and not his sister (even though she is older), who has to carry out revenge, even if he is only a child.
And that leads him to have to grow on the battlefield. His pride and position, as a Norseman, depend and fall on war and violence; and he is not aware of all this until he loses his only reason for living.
Tumblr media
And that's when the second season begins and we find a different Thorfinn, depressed and without any ties to life, an empty shell. And that's when Einar and also Arnheid come in.
Tumblr media
Until that moment we have seen war from the point of view of male warriors. And through Einar we have seen the war from a farmer's point of view. But it is with Arnheid that the story changes: because she is a woman.
We don't know what Thorfinn's evolution or life was like in those 2 years of slavery until Einar arrives; and we don't know because that doesn't matter. And it doesn't matter because this arc is about the consequences of war (and not just in the form of Thorfinn's PTSD).
There is also gender bias in war. We see it in Thorfinn, he grows up in the war, and in his sister, who stays at home with his mother. We see it, implicitly and more subtly, in Einar and his sister. And we see it in Thorfinn, Einar and Arnnheid.
The three of them are war victims: a child soldier and two people who lost their homes and families. The three of them ended up as slaves. The line between war and slavery is very thin.
Tumblr media
But even as slaves, Thorfinn and Einar's life is much simpler than that of Arnheid: physically hard work, yes, but they are given the opportunity, when the time comes, to buy their own freedom. Arnheid has no such freedom: she is not only a servant, she is also a sex slave. Because she is a woman. And as a woman she is only good for doing domestic work and serving as a sexual object.
It is she, along with her story, the true protagonist of this season. The heroine. Who shows us what awaits women in contexts of war and slavery. And this is not just a thing of the 11th century: currently women in war conflicts are also victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Tumblr media
That is why Thorfinn's evolution in those 2 years in which he was alone doesn't matter. That's why his reunion with Leif doesn't matter. That's why, even though he hasn't interacted with Arnheid that much, he is willing to help and protect her, to get her out of there.
Thorfinn knows the tactics of war better than anyone, he spent most of his life on the battlefield. But that also implied that the context in which he grew up was especially male-dominant.
Arnheid, from my point of view, gave Thorfinn a new perspective (a perspective he may not have considered before) on the consequences of the war.

Oppression is a spectrum,
Not all black people will be shot by the police.
Not all women will be SAed.
Not all neurodivergent people will be homeless.
Not all queer children will be kicked out and forced to sell their bodies to get their basic needs meet
And that's ok. It is not a competition there is no reward to winning the oppression Olympics. Some times people will have it worse than you and some times those people will benefit from your oppression.
Sometimes a man will have it worse then a women.
Sometimes a cishet will have it worse then a queer.
Sometimes a white person will have it worse then a black person.
Sometimes a neurotypical will have it worse then a neurodivergent.
And that ok, it doesn't minimized what you have lived though. It doesn't invalidate your lived expenices.

Open letter to all terfs:
You’re revolting. You look at a group of people trying their best to survive, to break an oppressive view of the world, and you try your best to ruin them. Need I explain why painting a group of people as monsters, why encouraging others to oppress a minority, why raping (and yes, trans people have been and are raped by terfs) and killing a group of people is wrong?
You claim to be for Justice, yet at every turn you side with fascists who impose the very rules you claim to want to break! Hell, you enforce those rules yourselves, claiming that they’re entrenched in sex! You claim that women are inherently weaker, gentler! That no woman has broad shoulders or facial hair, that no woman has excess testosterone, that no woman looks like a man!
Don’t you see how repulsive you are to people not embroiled in hate? Don’t you want to do something to make the world better, not worse? Use your passion for good! If you can’t understand trans people, if you don’t care too, fine! Focus your passion towards something else, but don’t focus it on a small population of people who just want to live happily in their own skin.
Prove to me you’re not just bigots. Prove me wrong, and put away your hate. Prove me wrong, and improve yourselves. Or, don’t. And let your hate consume you. But just understand, trans people are never going away. You can’t stop them from existing. But you can make your existence better.
"Prove me wrong" sweetie all the information you have about "terfs" is ridiculous fearmongering from your cult. It's impossible to prove anything to you because you're too indoctrinated to believe it. I mean just look at your own ask! Radical feminists do not say no woman has broad shoulders, that's the literal opposite of what we believe. Biological women have body hair and will be women no matter how we look, that's a intricate belief of radical feminism. We claim to be for justice? We are fascists? Radical feminists are for FEMALE LIBERATION. Neither the justice system nor the fascists want rights for women. If we wanted justice we would want to start a matriarchy and opress men for millenia. We don't want that, we want liberation from that. Women are physically weaker than men? If you don't believe this, go outside and ask to wrestle with a person of the opposite sex and you'll quickly find out it's true; YOU put value in that. Biological reality is real and only a uneducated science denier would claim women and men are physically the same. We bring humans into this world for shits sake! Women should be worshipped for their human making capacities, empathy and humanity that males lack. Being physically stronger yet having no empathy and being measurably less intelligent and built to die sooner and having less stamina is not some "proof of superiority". If it was we would be ruled by gorillas!
What trans women are opressed? Is it the ones stealing nike money ment for sports women and giving it to misogynistic men pretending to be little children? Or is it the ones that have raped women and are now allowed to be housed in womens prison to keep raping since you wanna talk about rape? (No radical feminist has ever raped a trans woman btw, this is just delusional.) Oh, maybe it's the ones that show up to womens marches and talks to beat up old ladies, maybe those are the opressed ones? Maybe it's the trans people who make sure that real women get fired from their jobs by calling males men? Maybe it's the trans people who have lobbied so hard that women are now called "uterus havers" and other misogynistic crap - yet men are still allowed to be called men? All the things the trans rights movement does makes it obvious it's literally just a offshoot from the mens rights movement.
Trans men ARE opressed though, by whom? By males. Trans women included. Ever wonder why your movement never talks about trans men or try to help them? Thats why! That's regular misogyny. If you wanna count rapes I'd bet you a million that more trans men have been raped by trans women than trans women have been raped. Yet all your movement cares about is the males. Standing behind the rapists and assaulting males and empowering them.
Straight white men, as you people always wanna say, stacking the opressor points, are not a minority. And most trans women are just that. Straight white men. They are not opressed even if they like dressing in womens clothing (something serial killers love doing as well btw), get a hardon from pretending to be little girls or from destroying womens rights and invading our safe spaces - which they do, it's everywhere online. Men jerking off in womens bathrooms, men jerking off in childrens underwear for the "gender euphoria", men popping a boner even existing in public in womens clothing, it's impossible to miss just visit trans reddit for like 5 minutes.
I doubt you're even going to read this at all but that's the beauty of a angry and uneducated ask, I get to have the last word. Peace ✌️

Is it racist to criticize Black crime rates?
It's just history right?
You want to do this? Let’s open that can of worms then.
Why did the war on drugs begin? What was the entire point of criminalizing specific things throughout the history of the United States that target poor communities? Why are Black people at a disadvantage from the start? Oppression.
Why were interest rates (something used throughout the modern world) deemed usery for a specific people? Oppression.
These are actually both very similarly related. The oppressive systems create the situation and then criminalize and demonize them. It’s what Israel is doing to Palestinians, and has been for nearly a century, too.
It boggles my mind how you can want to deny this history. We were put into situations where we had little control or options, and then they weaponized it against us. That is the very definition of oppression. Those are the very systems that need to be torn down the world over.

We refuse to stay silent on Palestine, for silence is compliance. It's time to speak up, stand up, and demand justice for the oppressed.

Chapter 7: The Ruling on Silence and Injustice4 The third hadithis from Ayesha (ra) who asked, “Will we be destroyed even if we have righteous people amongst us?” The Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Yes, if filth (base sins) becomes rampant.”Thus, the moral of all three of these ahadithis: if people do not speak up when evil is being committed, everyone will suffer.

You don't have to be a mother for this conversation to hit hard. No one wants their loved ones to suffer and because of that we - the minority - may find ourselves thinking unfavorable thoughts. Ones that betray how we feel about who we are in a negative way because we wish for our lives to be easier. (This is also one of the reasons why when people say being queer "became a trend" we react with riddiculous laughter because some of us wished at some point in our lives that it was that easy to just stop being who we are and live our lives normally, without having to worry about being opressed or persecuted). It's nothing to be afraid to share, and nothing bad to be judged for. Hence why it's so great when Storm just takes it in stride and offers comfort. We can't change who we are, but we can make society to be better to us. That's the only way to ensure that our loved ones will not suffer as we did.

Males and females are never victims of one another but both victims of the species, so man and wife together undergo the oppression of an institution they did not create. If it is asserted that men oppress women, the husband is indignant; he feels that he is the one who is oppressed - and he is; but the fact is that it is the masculine code, it is the society developed by the males and in their interest, that has established woman's situation in a form that is at present a source of torment for both sexes.

My theory is that since Spaniard ultranationalists don't have colonies in South America and Asia anymore (because Spain still has colonial possessions in Africa) and therefore cannot oppress or steal from the people there anymore, they take out their frustration on the ones who live in their own country whom they consider beneath them and keep supressing their culture, and feel threatened that these cultures have survived and been preserved after centuries of imperialism.
But that's just a theory. uwu
Kaixo anon!
That'd be very possible if there weren't examples of oppression well before the Spanish colonization of half the world, like
The sentence of Ojocastro, 1239
And in whatever place used as a market, may no goods be bought or sold among people speaking Arabic, Hebrew, or Basque, and whoever may do so shall play 30 sol]. Btw this law ceased to be effective in the 19th century (!!) when Basque had been lost for centuries in the area @minglana

Invisible identities (bisexuality, homosexaulity) are not comparable to Simi invisible identities (disabilities, pre transition trans people), is not comparable to visible identity.(Race, biological sex, transgender people once they start transitioning)
Each has their own lived expenses and saying people who belong to group x always have it worse then group y is ignorant and ignores a lot of nuance.
