#i mean i gotta have some weird freudian stuff in here right #i think that like 90% of my writing style gets made sense of once you realise that my trains of thought follow similar patterns as etymology #'how are THOSE things connected'#well you see. through 6 degrees of separation #like precision caesura and cement #can make connections really well #not so good at interpreting them tho #i wonder if that defeats their purpose #i mean does it nullify any meaning that couldve been there #do i make my writing meaningless by acknowledging that i dont juxtapose to convey meaning - meaning coalesces in juxtaposition #and the juxtaposition is just for fun #im...#oh my god am i just putting all my toys in a row?#maybe i am #'that was a nice shape now if i do it /another/ way'#the point of the thing is the connecting. not like. some kind of meaning that i have in my head #im not making connections to convey meaning im making connections /to make connections/#i think that makes me a bad artist #or at least it makes my art bad #i still have fun with it so maybe im not a bad artist #but i wil admit to this and not promise to stop #i think THAT makes me a bad artist probably #bc if i really cared about... art. good art. meaningful art. then i would not be content with making meaningless art #once i realised thats what im doing. right?#an artist with integrity would do something else #'i shouldnt do this but i am and im not gonna stop'#'i should...apologist for something?'#i also believe subconsciously theres somethingimmoral to sharing art that you dont believe to be. like. of quality #i think it's fine to make art that is not the best you could have done. but if you share it with the world THEN that becomes immoral #i dont know why i believe that. it's probably about integrity again

I made @wolfythewitch 's fox Bill design out of polymer clay

It's pretty thin (so thin I'm afraid it'll snap in half anytime I lift it)

#I love crafting stuff but it's more time consuming than drawing (and less satisfying to me) so I don't do it as often #this would make a pretty cool pin. too bad it's so fragile #this is useless btw. I'm afraid it's break even if I store it somewhere #but at least I had fun making it #like an idiot I decided it would be better if I used only yellow and painted the details after baking it #fast forward-> me trying to paint it with a permanent black marker and a white gel pen that's definitely not for that job #this design will forever be imprinted in my brain as the best fanmade bill design actually #gravity falls #gravity fowls #bill cipher #arts n crafts #polymer clay #don't look at my ugly fingers #this is obviously not actual folded like an origami. I just cut the pieces I needed (the body is one piece folded in half tho)#btw I used the oven just to bake this. rip the environment

worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

fun fact, when mlp first came out in 2010, I had an entire comic I'd been drawing by hand with markers about my pony ocs which were guards in the royal castle. I still have the original 62 pages. fucking insane. anyway here's redraws of two of them lmao

Garden ("En") the "painted pegasus", who's mother was a zebra and who's pa was a pegasus. he was protag of the comic and YES I shipped him with princess luna WOOO LETS GOOOO

this guy was actually a background character more than anything. he was used here and there but he wasn't one of the central characters at all, he was friends with two other captains who WERE central characters. but I popped off with him so-

I've had Ludovicas girlfriend on the brain for months and finally sketched her out. I see her as the opposite to machete in that she has dark colours and softer shapes. Her ears and facefur kinda blend together and she gets big soft browneyes..

#you've had Ludovica's girlfriend stuck in your brain for months??#oh no now I feel kind of bad about being so vague and noncommittal about her design and personality and everything #I should've made up my mind ages ago #I like her expression here #she looks like a calm and quiet but no nonsense type of lady #at least to me I mean #I'd love to make her uniformly black/dark grey #but I know from experience that it would make her facial details and expressions hard to see #it's entirely possible to make it work but it takes some extra effort #adding even a small focal point (some kind of marking or lighter eyes for example) to anchor the viewer's attention helps a lot #I'm rambling sorry #I think about her often but keep going in circles #but the same thing happened with Ludovica and her design so I'm optimistic that this one will sort itself out eventually as well #I'm flattered ypu find her interesting! I promise I'm working on it #gift art #featherfrond #own characters
