"No," Sebastian says out loud into his pillow, and even to his own ears, his voice sounds horribly petulant, but–fuck, he deserves to be, after this race. Fuck Austria, and fuck the SF1000, and Binotto, and Christian for finding him after the race just to clap him on the back and say, "Tough bit of luck, eh?" – and fuck himself, too, for looking over at the RB16 in parc fermé and thinking for one treacherous moment, what if, what if, what if–

"Seb," Lewis says, "I'm not leaving until you open this door." His voice is equal parts concerned and exasperated, the sound of it as familiar as Seb's own heartbeat. As stupidly, stubbornly persistent as his own heart, too, with the way it bashes itself against closed doors and refuses to leave well enough alone and surfaces in front of him, day after day after year after year, even when he's done nothing to keep it coming back.

He waits a second longer anyways, just in case Lewis has let his better judgement win out and is going to leave him to wallow in peace after all–

oh gosh, i forget that pavlova is kinda—localised. LOL. for my friends that are not familiar with pavlovas or their lore, it’s basically a meringue!!! except the inside is meant to be soft—like marshmallow! so you have the crispy, shell-like outside and then the soft gooey inside; and you dress it with thickened cream or custard and fruit! i’m not very partial to them as an adult bc they hurt my teeth, lmao; they can be very sweet! but in single-servings they’re lovely. 🥹 actually, i was debating trying one again this year. 🫣 we’ll see, i like my trifle. 🫣🫣

And then you're looking at the top and you're like oh sick shoulder cutouts?? HIP cutouts????? Patterns that glow in cold temperatures are you serious Nintendo that's fucking INSANE and then. AND THEN. Apparently the hip and shoulder cutouts just weren't enough because by Hylia that is in fact a BACKLESS TOP

And you'd think they were finished but no. At this point I was wracking my brain wondering what kind of pants they could possibly pair with this outfit. throwing my (santa) hat into the ring the christmas lim this year is gonna be sayaka, not only that but it’ll be a nutcracker prince themed one

i believe this is because:

all the holy quintet girls (sans nagisa, but she is also on the table but less likely) have gotten a new lim unit this year except sayaka, so she’s up for one

sayaka already has a haregi unit so she can’t be the new years lim, leaving christmas as her only chance

nutcracker themed event would be fun AND would fit amazingly with sayaka’s prince/hero aesthetic she has going on

new sayaka lim is exactly what i expect the devs to do to make me suffer right before the holidays

I remember the time I tried to fit in with the girls in primary school by forcing myself to be a horse girl like them. I liked horses well enough (tho I was and still am a bit scared of them. big animals who's cues and movements I'm bad at interpreting) and loved the novels and other horse themed trinkets I'd get in the Pony Club subscription box I begged my mother to get for me, collecting Schleich horse figurines was fun as well, even had the stables and all

my parents never allowed me to go to actual horseback riding classes tho, the usual reasoning being I'd not stick to it anyway and it'd be a huge waste of what little money we had. and turns out just liking the same things as the girls didn't cut it. I didn't have the necessary social skills to get along with them anyway.

I kinda miss that phase of my life sometimes, mostly the reading tbh. I'm 100% viewing it through heavily rose-coloured glasses, but there were some good moments for sure.
