#dungeon meshi #kabru #laios touden #falin touden #Happy Thistle Thursday once again. Have I been holding on to this comic for several weeks? Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

to anyone who doesn't know daisy beyond the interviews and picture perfect instagram posts, they might think her question innocuous – simply catching up on what's new with the band. but syd does know better. she can easily spot how daisy's voice rises an octave when she's trying ( and failing ) to mask her annoyance.

" at a bar. " if she was a better person, she wouldn't take the bait. she wouldn't make daisy wait a full three seconds while she brings her glass to her lips before continuing. " she was playing on stage and i liked her music, " syd makes sure to employ her most detached tone, even shrugging for good measure. her jealousy rears its ugly head as she attempts to inflict the same pain on daisy – nevermind the part of her that wants to keep her closeness with mal a secret.

she's not sure what mal means to her exactly. but she'd rather daisy not find out about the less physical aspects of their relationship.

" we got to talking. turns out she was a fan of the band already. and she was looking for a new gig, we were looking for a new guitarist... " another deliberate pause, with eyes locked on daisy this time. can she feel the heartbreak accusation in her gaze? " it just kinda fell into place. lex liked her too, so she ended up joining a few days after. "

thinking about Nico adjusting to letting himself miss and long for the people he loves. based on these bits from the sun and the star:
