Day 3 of making Unprepared Casters icons

This time it's an orbula orb from Arc 4: Orb is Life!

Made the design using a description Gus gave at the start of the arc (and I found on the wiki)

I did attempt to make run like symbols on the central band but they didn't come out like I'd hoped so I'm going to leave my original design under the cut

god i love the borples. our introduction to the borple family was a weird ass teen nerd who artificer-ed his sports orb to throw grease, who got pushed into a trampling crowd by his best friend and then thrown on a sports field for reasons i cant remember and then the most recent borple mention on pod was the mass produced cheap guns and also, in oneshot, the one stop death cruise airship they created

Theodrink just chucking the knife at Keylon fully feels like Aster reaching through the Arcs to be the little devil on Theo's shoulder and I love it

So obviously, in every hayley arc, gus takes the crown of Most Guy. But what about the arcs where gus isn't the running?

Arc 2: Gotta be Lyndell. Just a lady doing her best. She doesn't do crime normally, but hey, gotta get that retirement money. Just constantly mothering/berating Richard, a strong contender for the party's only braincell... we love to see it.

Arc 4: Russ my beautiful baby boy! Just a sweet summer child. He's doing his best to make his dad proud. Trying to play orbula well in the name of his brother. Would probably cry if an authority said they were proud of him. Just an all-around guy.

Arc 6: Lottie, she's the baby of the group, just doing her best. Out here just wishing her moms would stop fighting all the time. So fragile and killable. A beautiful baby girl who is also a Guy.

Arc 8: Helga. Shows up not quite late to the most important event of a lifetime on a dog. Literally needs earrings to remind her who people are. Even with those earrings she still doesn't know what's going on most of the time. People let her in on important family conversations and tender moments and she immediately turns around and forges them deeply personalized items. All around 10/10 Guy.

i like to imagine that every year on ace's birthday, the arc 4 gang gets together to play a pickup game of orbula before getting drinks at quinn's bar

Arc 1: Dragons in Dungeons

There were technically two dragons (Aura and the egg), but only one dungeon. 5/10

Arc 2: Lovejoy's Four

Well, there were four player characters, and they were in fact robbing the Lovejoys. The name is also quite obviously inspired by the Oceans movies (which I have never seen because I, like Gus, don't watch movies - but i know they're heist movies). 10/10

Arc 3: Gonna Raise Hell

Hell was not even raised. 0/10

Arc 4: Orb Is Life

I don't think I've ever heard the word "orb" said this many times in such a short amount of time. orb/10

Arc 5: Lives Of The Party

The title has kind of a double meaning but it gives me a headache to explain… But that's not 'cause it's hard to explain, I'm just bad at explaining things. For how truthful it is… I guess 8/10? 'cause let's be real, they were barely a party.

Arc 6: The Glacerian Trail

I mean… They did walk towards Glaceria… Wasn't really a trail, though. 9/10

Arc 7: Wizards Off The Coast

I guess there were two wizards??? (Vastya and Skeventy) And they were, in fact, off the coast. 11/10 because I adore bad puns.

Arc 8: The King Is Dead

Took three episodes for that king to die. 7/10

Arc 9: Once Upon A Crime

I'm pretty sure a crime was committed this arc… As for the "once upon a", I guess it was sort of fairytale-like but not really. 6/10

Arc 10: Daggers Out

Many daggers were pulled out this arc, probably more than usual! And the phrase "daggers out" was said a few times. Exceeded expectations, 20/10

Arc 11: Off The Rails

The arc hasn't officially started but I sure hope the train doesn't go off the rails, holy shit! tbd/10
