I know I talk a lot about how it's important to not fall into misanthropic musings within the community because it isolates those who are still in some way human, because stereotyping any animal including humans is still stereotyping and especially ironic if you believe that animals like sharks and spiders don't deserve constant hate which can negatively impact therians who are that animal.

But... you're not bad for having those thoughts. Thoughts are morally neutral. You're not bad for expressing them every once in a while. Especially if they come from a place of personal pain or are correctly tagged anyway and it's your blog.

There's misanthropic humans too. Hating a species and what it does is not unique to anyone, even if it's based on stereotyping the whole species.

When we talk about wanting to see less of it in the community, it's not because we think you're evil and wrong for thinking that way. It's only about, as stated, that some of us are still human or partially human and many like or even love humans and don't want to see posts about how all humans should just die or do awful things because they're human not because they're individually choosing to be awful (autonomy!). Hating humans is not part of therian etc culture and we don't really want any kind of hate to be seen as such.

But if you are a misanthropic nonhuman? That's fine. There's nothing wrong with you and you still belong here, tolerating humans or not.

Nya and Kai have supernatural abilities. They aren't uncommon in this universe, but they're deadly to talk about.

Nya has the ability to see and hear passed on spirits, but just that: The ghost of the person. Not the memories, not before their passing, just them there and now. Which, more often then not, ends up being a blank slate with vague awareness of who they were. This helps, however, as Nya can direct by asking questions and asking them to follow whatever tug they feel. More often than not, this leads to either another scene, or a doll.

Kai can see the past and hear the voices of possessed or previously owned objects. Dolls have been the most effective, each step of repairing giving more and more of the story. Each damaged part of the doll tell their own events. When dressed, that's where the entire thing pulls together, and he writes out everything.

But, they aren't the only ones with these abilities, they just know they have them.

Jay's way with technology isn't one of just someone that's been around it for their life, its part of a minor interference of his own. He's able to think of something while writing down and suddenly it's popped open on the page, or a notepad is jotting down his thoughts. He's never seen without the notepad app open, as it's his thoughts projected. Yet, if you try to find it again: Nowhere to be found.

Cole's respect for the dead and those unfortunate has offered him an outside help. He feels that 'tug' that Nya describes to ghosts, like something is physically pulling a rope around his chest to follow. Each time he follows it, he finds something to push a case forward, or a case that's fresh.

Zane's and Pixal's eyes are trained to find anything unusual, in any way, shape, or form, but maybe they're too good sometimes. In pictures, Zane finds objects that look different, warped even, then they were in real life, and Pixal the opposite.

I mentioned Lloyd in the last post, but there's a reason why Lloyd is with Kai rather than his own father, or Wu, or Misako. Lloyd, similarly to Kai and Nya, has a supernatural ability like they do.

While Lloyd can't legally help out (only being around 14 while Kai is 21), he frequently hears about 'otherbeings'. While he can't pin a name to them, he's seen them before. Sometimes, when Kai can't pin the memories down, or something seems too warped, Lloyd takes a look at the pictures. He's an outside source trying to fit in, but some cases call for his more advanced abilities.

He can see, hear, and communicate with things greater than spirits or ghosts. 'Otherbeings' to him is a general term that describes anything that isn't a living animal, that either takes the form of something else, possesses living and nonliving things alike, or is invisible to the naked eye.

Southern Christmas story

I was a kid of divorce and I lived most of the time with my bio mom and just every otherb weekends with my dad.Exceptions were Summer vacation and part Christmas Break.One time she didn't let my dad pick us up till evening on Christmas eve .so here we are taking a road trip that took several hours,and we were tired and hungry.Now being Christmas Eve no restraunt was open....Till we saw a golden glow ,the one open restraunt : Waffle House .It was like a sign for from the almighty ,we might as well have found holy ground...Greasy holy ground but holy all the same.Thing is here in the south Waffle House is ALWAYS open and some families make it a custom to eat there on Christmas ,so that Christmas Eve we were thankful and dined on waffles and bacon and eventually made it home to rest and awake to a good Christmas morning
