There is a tree in the square in front of my house. It is very beautiful, I often climb it. Maybe some people will find it stupid, but it's like... a close friend.

I don't know, when I'm in its branches, listening to the sound of the leaves in the wind and the singing of the birds, It's like time stops. Like it hears me think. Like it understands me. Its presence soothes me, I don't have to be afraid to make my true identity, my true self, visible. I may seem weird for a human, but that respects me. It reassures me. In return, I take care not to tear its leaves, not to hurt it. I throw away the waste that I find around, and I show it my affection in my own way. I don't know if it really understands what I'm doing, because it may not know the animal social codes... But I still have to thank it for all the times it listened to me without judging me.

Sometimes I think... Maybe it'll remember me and understand... If it gets reincarnated as a plantkin/kith.

Does anyone else get the urge to howl for no reason? I was at the park right across the street from my church (this was after church btw) to just chill there with a friend. This little kid started howling for no reason and then I wanted to join in. The people at my church think "therians and furries are the same" and "furries are stoopid" so I sadly didn't howl as much I wanted to.

i wish the therian community didnt feel so.... whimsical. its too positive and it rubs me the wrong way; feels infantilising. probably since im older than a lot of other therians, and thusly view my therianthropy/otherkin nature differently than others, but i find all these validity and affirmation posts saccharine, cloyingly sweet.

i am a stray dog, i find it hard to find kinship with other dogs. maybe this is my issue: i am jealous of those who can. but i stand by that cloying sweetness i see here.

I mapped out my alterhuman identities.

I learned a lot of new terms and concepts at Othercon and have done a lot of reflecting and introspecting. I've finally officially decided to be a catlinker and I've reconsider my stance that the term "therian" doesn't apply to me. I've decided that it does.I've also come to the realization that it feels kind of like my light kintype has its own kintypes due to a panelist mentioning a nesting doll kintype situation. I don't believe my alterhumanity has anything to do with past lives personally (the octoling kardiatype is due to basically what I would describe as a parallel life that's been manifested into CyanTide (previself party member)), but I'm sure there could be other causes. Maybe more parallel lives. I'm pretty sure that's the case with my aliedragon (MoonLighter) kintype, as manifested in Glow Bright (previme party member).

Also, I don't have a good term for when I'm trapped in a doll. It's not a kintype or a paratype or a hearttype or a hearthome or anything. My anymic glitchy kintype is kind of like a spirit and a specter, but it's not a ghost. Even still, it's like sometimes it's bound to this old doll and gets trapped inside against its will. Not always, though. Sometimes I fel like this feeling bleeds through to my altereldritch form.
