Yui is not a girlboss usually but acts like that when she has had enough of bs. She doesn’t get fed up in all routes keeping in mind that it takes a lot to get her angry, that’s why she’s mostly so gentle.
// Well yeah, but what I meant here was that they occasionally write her to behave waaaay too differently from route to route, and that's what doesn’t sit right with me. The fact that she’s usually soft and gentle doesn’t actually bother me in the slightest, since that’s how her personality truly is.
Sometimes she’s so righteous and is not afraid to call anyone out when they’re being mean and treating others unfairly. I completely support and agree with this behavior! However, there are also routes where they make her sound too delusional or dumb. 😭😭
Yui in some routes:
*inserts character name*: *is mean towards others*
Yui: How dare you say such horrible things? You’re so cruel!
Meanwhile, Yui in other routes:
*inserts character name*: *plans murder*
Yui: It’s ok, I’m sure you had a hard time! :)
I’m not expecting DL to be a perfect otome game with no inconsistencies but I doubt that it’s really that hard writing a consistent MC in such situations.
