r: Hmm... I dunno? I can't think of any tbh.

r: Not really. There are things that I couldn't stand but now I kinda like tho. OH. For FDTD. Mexican Honeymoon fics that don't change the outcome of it. Like, I read some that are really good but in the end I'm so unsatisfied with how things happened in the show that I'm just tired of reading any that fit in canon.

If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

r: THE ENDING. >:( Also a few things from the time between the eclipse and the comet. ALSO. I would have given Aang proper development. I think he's the only protagonist who didn't have to overcome ANY hurdles. The massacre seemed to impact him just for a few episodes in the first season, he got to keep his childish disposition all throughout the series while others assumed leading/caring roles, he didn't have to change anything about his personality to Win (he put the entire world at risk by not stepping up and killing the Fire Lord bc of his beliefs and somehow it was all okay in the end) and honestly, despite thinking he's cute and adorable, I couldn't find a connection with the character? To me, the one who took the role of protagonist was Zuko tbh. And we got to connect to him on a deeper level because we watched him make mistakes, we watched him fall, then pick himself off the ground and get better, become someone better. Anyway, thanks for coming to my salty ted talk.

Oh, my OTP. My beautiful mess of an OTP. This is a weird one, I know, but I cannot handle how much Holder loves Linden, just straight from the beginning. Favorite thing about them: his compassion and openess to people

Least favorite thing about them: oh I don't think I have one!

Favorite line: "Remember who you are" . . . I know it's such a simple line on the surface level, but I feel it speaks so well to his character, and to his relationship with Edward (he first says, "Son, enough.") Because he's not using his strength to pull Edward back, he's using his words - softly even, encouraging Edward, his son, to find that strength from within himself. He's reminding him both who he is, and who he can become, no force necessary. And it's exactly how I believe a parent can encourage their child to step into becoming the best version of themselves.

Oh OK! Tbh I don't remember my first oc. But I found my first au so I'll talk about that.

I used to have an au called Afterhorror, which was an au based off/inspired by Horrortale.

In the Au Eliza (yeah it's spelt Eliza in this au, instead of Aliza)

Eliza over many years and many resets helps the monsters out of there hell. And in the end over throws the Queen and takes her place as the new Queen of the monsters.

I made this au a long time ago so they don't really make a tone of sense, but it was fun.

These are the original drafts.

Sans and Papyrus. They still have some bad scars from the past and Sans and Papyrus' personalitys are very different to the originals and I love them.

I actually had an ask blog for them a year ago. I love this old au.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

SasuSaku and NaruHina. SasuSaku is just.... i dont like it. I don’t like Sasuke in canon and it feels so fucking forced. Same with NaruHina. I don’t read NaruHina unless its like a background relationship. like i could do a whole post about how both relationships are basically the damn fucking thing; badass man and girl who’s crushed/obsessed over the man their entire lives. it is... i dont like it.  

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

yes. yes i have. i dont even remember what fandom or what they said but if i dont like something, i unfollow. i dont want that stuff in my life and i have the choice to get it out so yeahhh (i think it either had to do with sakura/lucy heartfillia or maybe even a percy jackson thing,,,,)

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*

SasuSaku. I hate it, really. unless its a total rewrite where Sasuke isn’t an asshole and Sakura isn’t obsessed with him and focuses on her development and then they get together later on and have been friends. i really don’t like it. i also don’t like canon NaruHina, it feels forced in my opinion, so same deal with SasuSaku, unless its an AU and the romance is actually developed, i dont like it. 

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

i dont think so.... the only fandoms ive ever really been in are fairy tail, naruto, soul eater, and pjo and all of my fav pairings were usually fandom popular or widely accepted so not yet!

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character?

-i dont like canon sakura. oops! i watched the OG naruto and i would hold those small moments that i did like her so close to my chest and i was so so disappointed on how kishi handled her character. it just makes me upset but not surprised tbh so now ive made it my mission to write her with all the potential she had 

-sasuke deserves to be angry and go out and do his thing. but also, he should be held accountable for his actions. Yes. the uchiha were treated like shit and murdered for basically no fucking reason but still. he’s OP and just like your basic “lone wolf bitchass”. 

-same with naruto. i love sunshine boys. I DO. but he... doesn’t mature?? he stays naive and ignorant (from what i remember) and he’s so god damn OP. this fic summarizes the way i feel about Sasuke and Naruto. They’re great characters, sure, but im so thankful for critical thinking fic authors who give them depth and realistic lives/characteristics.  

19. What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

-the toxicity towards woman. its pretty prominent in like all animes tbh. it makes my blood boil and like so angry that i try to steer clear from it 

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

LEESAKU. i love that ship with all my heart. i feel like they’d just be so good together. like if sakura got some actual character development and lee too, they’d be so kickass and soft together.

i don’t really HATE a character, but sasuke. he irks me. i would punch him in the face and shove him into a locked room with 10 therapists. 

23. Unpopular character you love?

kishimoto sucks. sure, he wrote one of the greatest anime/mangas around. but i feel like he bit off way more than he could chew. the character development could have been so much better, world building was great tho, and tho some of the arcs were creative as hell,, the writing could have been so much better. if given the chance, i would rewrite it.

naruto: i would need to rewrite the whole series; but in short, not have sakura want to go with sasuke. let her be happy by herself. let her want to grow in the village and help with the hospital.

Whether theyre about who killed gertrude, what the supernatural/spooky stuff is like in the tma-verse, and/or what characters' relationships will be like in canon (there are some heavy discussions on relationships of all sorts currently– not just romantic– so feel free to go ham about any character dynamics) blease i love reading early theories

look, i don't know if i have any solid theories, they're more like hunches? there are so many pieces to this puzzle and only now they're beginning to make some sense. imma try and sum up my thoughts topic by topic. 1. what's the creepy stuff? heck i sure would love to know lmao but like, i believe that all these cases connect, some more evidently than others. a strong indicator of that was the ep Dreamer, in which those death tendrils spread throughout London and and seemed to concentrate around the magnus institute. this ep also led me to believe that there's something about the position head archivist that's positively CURSED, and ep 53 (crusader) nudges me even further in that direction cuz if alexandria was a previous attempt at an Archive and if the creature that phillip brown saw there used to be an archivist, then there must be some sort of tradition or maybe even a condition to becoming a head archivist and i believe (from both a listener's and from a storytelling pov) that this THING might be the premise "if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee" which would make a lot of sense, given that towards the end gertrude seemed to be dealing with severe paranoia that SOMETHING or someone was watching her.

whether this something is singular or plural, only time will tell. i mean, there sure are a bunch of different beasts, but do they all come from the same place? do they all follow the same logic? is there a hierarchy and if so, who/what is the big boss? there have been some hints pointing towards something bigger than life slowly approaching them, some sort of monster idk. they foreshadowed this in ep literary heights, in which the guy talks about the ex altiora and its contents, and also in ep high pressure, in which antonia hayley talks about sticking her head into a hole and gazing upon something that seemed too big to be true.

so there, maybe these cases are just the symptoms of something much bigger and much more terrible that's slowly paving the way of its descent upon the mortal realm. maybe it is too big to just come in hot, so it's trying to create enough unbalance/chaos that its slipping into our (theirs, thank god) reality will be somewhat easier? there sure are creatures out there that are capable of bending the fabric of reality however the fuck they want (sasha's michael, or as i like to call him, blonde edward scissorhands)

but like, do they SERVE this "alpha" being? i can't say for sure, but there seem to be at least different segments or cults led by people, by entire families even that appear to worship these monsters. i get the feeling that they might even be rivals or smth, cuz i remember one episode where a girl (dunno if prentiss or that super religious chick who was only able to cook soggy spinach -gross) said she wasn't one of those idiots who kept searching after fractals (and there have been multiple mentions of said "idiots") all in all my ideas boil down to "who's gonna get daddy cthulhu down on earth first? there'll be a prize for who does!"

2. who killed gertrude? at first glance, elias seems super suspicious. i mean, he's hot but that doesn't exempt him. if i were to look at this from a mere listener's pov i'd say elias seems to have enough reasons to want to shut gertrude up for good, since he's always coming onto jon about keeping the lukas family out of the statements. if elias is their dog and gertrude had found something major about the lukas's, then that'd make sense for him to kill her.

if i look at it from a storytelling pov, it would seem rather too obvious that elias did it. but then again, obvious doesn't necessarily mean bad, and i'd be rather pleased if my theory was right and i got to see WHY it was right, with good, solid build up towards a sensible explanation. if it makes sense within the story, i'm happy.

3. relationships i haven't thought much about this one beyond the evident jmart brainrot that you can see all over my blog lately (it took me 3 captain america movies to ship stucky, my all-time otp, and like... 3s to ship jmart. i don't know how i feel about that.)

when i started s2 and i saw jon getting all paranoid over the smallest things and suspecting every single one of his assistants i was like yeahhh this is gonna be a long ride.

he still is suspicious as fuck up to ep57, but something happened that i NEVER saw coming which was jon confronting martin (in a rather asshole-ish way, if i may add) and then the tension of mistrust dissolving, which leads me to believe that their relationship might start to deepen in s2, because martin will be (for a while at least) the only one that jon can trust (i WEEP)

i haven't got a clue how the not-sasha thing will turn out, but i'm hella curious because like??? WHERE IS SASHA. does michael have her?does the mcfucking TABLE have her?????

all in all, these are my thoughts so far, there's still a lot of redstringing to be done here lol i'm sure i must've forgotten something, but this post is already hella long as it is so if you've reached this far i can only say congrats haha (oh and thank you for allowing me the great opportunity to ramble obnoxiously)

Here to answer @olyollyoxenfree ‘s curiousity ;) Pardon for being late at it always cuz I prefer doing this on my laptop than on my phone

1.    Are you a content creator? If you are, what medium, and what does your work space look like? (Also, because I’m stupidly curious, which work(s) are you most proud of?)

Yes. Currently I write fanfic and paint traditional canvas art. I go by Monochromevelyn on AO3 (mind you, my English is barely alright and I ain’t got no time to find beta lol) and even though it didn’t get as many kudos compared to my other Haikyuu works, I’m proud of Somebody You Loved. Oh, and I’m stupidly proud of my free-hand drawing/painting of the Wings of Freedom! I don’t have a designated workspace so it’s just my laptop and my foldable Japanese table; me sitting crossed leg on the floor of my bedroom with scattered paint tubes and brushes on the floor, working on my project of the day.

 2.    What are some of your favorite activities for your favorite season?

Lol I come from a tropical country and we don’t have your typical 4 seasons. Our 4 seasons are: haze season, durian season, dengue season, monsoon season. My favourite is monsoon season because I love playing in the rain, baybeee!

 3.    Can you cook and/or bake? What’s your go-to to make (or what’s your favorite food to get, if you don’t cook or bake)?

I like both! But I’m better at cooking compared to baking, only because I’m kinda impatient. My go to food is Bolognese pasta, but make it spicy lol (Italians please don’t judge me)

 5.    What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do? What’s stopping you from doing it?

Leave my current life behind and move across the world where people don’t know me, preferably somewhere by the beach. I’ve been thinking about Fiji a lot lately. Not running away or anything, I just hate the thought of being another cogwheel in this big capitalist machine. I want a simple life. I’m not doing it (YET) because I want to complete my postgraduate study first to become a specialist so I have that leverage to move across the world. Paper qualification is everything, especially for a professional/high skilled worker like me.

 6.    You’re wandering around in the dark when your hand touches something and the lights come on. What did you touch?

A spider! Luckily there’s a bug spray nearby! :p

I’m a big hugger. I always initiate hug and I love getting hugs. But ironically, when I needed a hug the most I will keep it to myself and cry it out when I’m alone.

Yeahhh, not food though, it’s usually drinks. Actually, it’s usually just coffee. I’m picky about my coffee and can’t tolerate terrible ones. Even if I paid 10$ for that cuppa joe I’d still throw it out if it tastes like shit. I’m not wasting calories drinking that terrible milky water with barely any coffee.

9.    Given the opportunity, until what hour would you sleep in? (If you rise with the sun, let’s never sleep in the same room.)

Around 9 or 10am, but I usually like to lie in bed until noon, scrolling through social media feeds. Is that considered early? lol

 10.  Every day until the day you meet, you’re psychically connected to your soulmate (platonic, romantic, whatever) while you’re awake (lord have mercy if you’re halfway across the world from each other). What are you spamming their mind with?

Travel plans! Hahah. I really love travelling and never shut up about it. So it’d be a lot of googled pictures of beaches and cities, maps and travel routes, prices of rented caravan for a road trip, upcoming festivals at each destination and foods to try.

Hercules dragged his finger around the rim of his beer bottle. The bar stood was uncomfortable and all his friends were off somewhere. Doing god knows what. Lafayette slipped into the stool beside him and quickly ordered a drink.

“Hey, Herc...” He slurred slightly, leaning on his elbows.

He laughed. “Hiya, Laf. How’re ya?”

“‘M good, you?” Lafayette grabbed his glass and took a large gulp. “Hey, wanna know something?”

“Sure, why not.” Hercules chortled and drank down the rest of his beer.

Lafayette leaned over to whisper in Hercules’ ear, and the closeness made him shiver. “I have a secret.”

Mulligan chuckled. “Really?”

“Yeahhh.” Lafayette moved back and laughed drunkingly.

“And what might that be?” Hercules wanted to see if Lafayette would share it. See just how fucking drunk he was.

Lafayette sipped his beer. “Promise you won’t be mad, or tell anyone?”

“I promise.” Hercules chuckled. “I couldn’t be mad at you anyway...” he murmured.

Lafayette leaned over again, very close. “I... I love... you...”

Hercules moved away and looked at Lafayette. He was still smiling goofily, cheeks flushed red and strands of curly hair hanging by his face. Hercules sighed. No matter how much he wanted to believe him, it wasn’t right. “Laf, you’re drunk.”

“No ‘m not!” Lafayette slurred. “Listen, not drunk.”

“Yes, yes you are. I’m going to tell John that we’re going home, and you’re going to bed.”

“Fine...”

Hercules helped Lafayette into his apartment, unlocking the door. “Laf, you take the bed, I’ll sleep on the couch.”

“I’ll go to bed if you come with me.” He winked.

“I’m gonna get you some water, just go to bed.”

Lafayette sighed and began to trudge towards Hercules’ bedroom. Hercules poured a glass of cold water, sniffing. How stupid could he be? Why... why on Earth did Lafayette confess? When drunk? Did he mean platonic love, was he serious? It was very hard to tell.

He took the cup into his room, placing it on the bedside table. He smiled, Lafayette had already fallen asleep. Hercules tucked some hair behind Lafayette’s ear and walked out, switching the light off and closing the door.

Lafayette awoke with a groan, his head hurt. He rubbed his temples and looked around. Okay, this wasn’t his room. He looked to the side and grabbed the cup of water, chugging it quickly. He got out of the bed, and was relieved to find himself fully clothed.

He creaked the door open and the smell of eggs wafted towards him. “Hercules?” He questioned.

“Oh, hey, Laf. You’re up! Want eggs?” He scraped the fried egg onto a plate.

“Oui, that would be nice...” He rubbed his head. “Thanks for taking me home.”

“No problem, but uh... we need to talk...” Hercules handed him a plate.

Lafayette took it and sat down on the couch, freezing up. “Oh. What about?”

Hercules gave him a knife and fork before sitting next to him. “Did you mean it?”

“M-mean what?” Lafayette cut and ate.

“Last night uh, you told me a secret.” He coughed into his fist.

“Oh god, I’m so sorry!” Lafayette said, already knowing what the secret was.

“D-do... do you love me?” Hercules spat it out.

“Well that depends...” Lafayette chuckled, looking down.

Hercules chewed his bottom lip before taking Lafayette’s free hand. Marquis turned to look at him, meeting his eyes. “Do you?”

“Yes.”

“Say it.” Hercules murmured.

“I love you.” Lafayette smile was small, but present.

“I love you too.” Hercules replied with a grin.

“Really...?”

“Yes, do you know how long I’ve waited for you to say that? How much it hurt to have you say it while drunk off your face?” Hercules laughed.

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry. Say it again, make sure I’m not dreaming.”

least fave thing abt her: this is more of just the effects of her KGB training, but in general a lot of her first reactions are violent, and it’s not something i would ever hold against her. it’s not her fault in the slightest, but it is something i wish she didn’t have to deal with. she never really feels safe and she’s always on her toes. i wish she could just feel okay for two seconds.

random headcanon: nat is really good with her makeup, but she didn’t really enjoy it until she met clint. i feel like she learned to do her makeup in the red room so she could go undercover, so it was more of a chore than anything. clint, however, knew how to do makeup and actually enjoys doing it for people, though he would never admit that to the team. he saw nat getting ready for an undercover mission and saw her blending her eyeshadow wrong, and he popped in to help. since then he would sit down with her and they would practice on each other and trade tips and he got her to feel comfortable doing her makeup for herself for the first time

unpopular opinion: nat didn’t need a love interest from any of the canon mcu characters. i never went wild over any of the popular nat ships, and i feel like it was all just pushed so hard bc she was the only female superhero for so long. i mean no disrespect to anyone that ships her with other characters, that’s totally valid and i support u!! i just felt like a lot of it wouldn’t have been so popular if there had been more women present in the films at the start.
