Oumota Week Day 3 - misunderstanding | Trapped

Anyways, read Amalgamate, the fic that inspired this specific piece.

Still ongoing and certainly not for the faint of heart. Personally enjoy every moment and update of it and it 100% grabbed me shortly after I finished v3's chapter 5 myself back at the beginning of May.

The writing is wonderful and picks up as a canon divergent chapter 5 story in which Kaito doesn't kill Kokichi, and it's currently into a very different version of chapter 6 with people on the amalgamate official server having fun creating theories and the like. It's like a big puzzle with some parts which you gotta find the right pieces for and as someone who enjoys puzzles and mysteries... well. You get the idea.

Every character canonically alive at that point has screen time and gets expanded upon and no one of them just get full on side-lined.

It's written in a Kaito POV, which is a welcomed bonus.

Every chapter starts with an authors note, which also includes trigger warnings for that specific chapter. Please actually keep them in mind, don't skip them.

Eyyy it’s Oumota week!!! This is the first thumbnail sketch I did and I have loved it since I first thought of it. Post ch3 meetup hours.

I have seen this idea in a couple of fics, but the one I can remember right now is hate me soon - written by glownary.

 Anyways... Might post more this week might not, but this piece was VERY fun.

It’s the Kaito idol AU of my dreams, and I had to go wild with the outfits 🌟🎙 Featuring his special debut outfit, another one just for fun, and then the one Kokichi made that totally wasn’t influenced by his own tastes at all! Also matching stuff for the 2 other members we know. 

I decided their unit is branded as an “idol group from the future”, so they have a little bit of a cyber aesthetic. Kaito is kind of space/ retrofuturism themed and Kiibo is more digital/ robot themed. Shuichi is relatively generic because that’s the price of being the lead 😔 Based on context clues, I imagine there’s like 5 members total, but I didn’t feel like choosing 2 more guys.
