EXCUSE ME WHAT IS THAT GUITAR DOING THERE
I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, not my own either. And you know - I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes. So correct me if I'm wrong... He hasn't really played much (at all?) On that Ovation Viper [yellow] guitar since EYCTE?????
edit: because I'm in panic mode and I'm sorry for spreading it 🙈 don't mind my screaming for the next hour. We've definitely seen it this tour, just not as often

{DAY 4 AND DAY 5}
[Day 4 of Intramurals: A Celebration of Beauty, Talent, and Sportsmanship]
On Day 4 of our school's Intramurals marked the beginning of the much-anticipated pageant. Each team, namely the Legendary Lions, Vicious Vipers, Silver Stallions, and Fearless Falcons, presented two representatives, a male and a female, who were the epitome of beauty, grace, and confidence.
The stage was set, the LED screen casting a vibrant glow, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. The candidates, looking gorgeous and handsome, first appeared in their sport attire. Their outfits, perfectly tailored, reflected their individual personalities and the spirit of their respective teams.
The pageant was interspersed with the Sayaw Awitan performances. The Silver Stallions led the way, their performance setting the bar high. The Fearless Falcons followed, their act, a heartfelt story about a boy who lost his mother, was a beautiful blend of acting, singing, and dancing. The emotions conveyed through their performance resonated with the audience, making it a memorable act.
The Vicious Vipers were the last to perform, but their performance was worth the wait. Their emotional delivery and the passion with which they sang received a standing ovation, a testament to their talent and hard work.
The moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived - the announcement of the winners of Mr. and Ms. Pasiklaban 2024. The third runner-up titles were awarded to the representatives from Fearless Falcons, their achievements met with cheers from their teammates. The second runner-up titles went to my classmates from the Legendary Lions. Their success filled me with pride and joy.
The first runner-up for Mr. Pasiklaban was from Silver Stallions, while the coveted title of Mr. Pasiklaban was bagged by the representative from Vicious Vipers. The excitement continued as the winners for Ms. Pasiklaban were announced. The first runner-up was from Vicious Vipers, and the title of Ms. Pasiklaban was awarded to the representative from Silver Stallions.
The fourth day of our Intramurals was a celebration of beauty, talent, and sportsmanship. It was a day that showcased the diverse talents of our students and brought us all together in celebration and friendly competition. As we look back on this day, we are reminded of the spirit of our Intramurals - a spirit of unity, talent, and camaraderie, and we look forward to carrying this spirit into the days to come.
[DAY 5 " Today marks the final day of our intramurals, also known as "Pasiklaban 2024".]
Finally, the event was coming to an end. I woke up that day feeling a sense of joy and relief, yet there was a hint of sadness as well. Despite being exhausted, I was going to miss the excitement. However, if they had included Saturday and Sunday in the events, I would have definitely echoed Kathryn Bernardo's line, "Pagod na pagod na pagod na ako" charot.
I arrived at school later than usual as I had a headache from lack of sleep. I had only slept for 3 hours as I returned home at 11 pm after watching the pageant. As a member of the SSG, we had been given the option to leave early, but we chose to stay and support our classmate and friend who was participating in the Mr. and Ms. Pasiklaban.
Fast forward to the awarding moments. The ceremony was supposed to start at 2 pm, but due to some personal issues, we were delayed. However, we managed to keep the students entertained by offering free shout-outs to the students.
Certificates were ready, and everyone gathered on the bleachers. Our emcee, Sir Migs, began the ceremony. The winners of the solo dramatic singing and duet dramatic singing were from the Legendary Lions, and they truly deserved the win. I felt a pang of disappointment for my friend Hazel who didn't win, but I knew that there were better things in store for her in the future.
In the hip-hop dance category, the first runner up was the Legendary Lions and the winners were from the Fearless Falcons. Their performance was truly impressive. The winners of the various ball games were also announced, but I can't recall all of them.
Finally, it was time to announce the overall champion. The Silver Stallions were in 4th place, and the Vicious Vipers were in 3rd place. The two last teams standing were the Legendary Lions and the Fearless Falcons, with only 20 points between them. Sir Migs announced the 2nd place team, the Legendary Lions, and the overall champion of Pasiklaban 2024 was the Fearless Falcons. The Falcons erupted in celebration, and we too joined in the joy, not just for the victory but for the successful conclusion of the event.
The end of the event brought tears to the eyes of my fellow SSG officers. I held back my tears for a few minutes, but eventually, I too was crying. The Pasiklaban 2024 had officially ended, and it was a resounding success that brought enjoyment to the student journey.
As we come to the end of this remarkable event, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible impact it has had on my personal journey and one that has taught me valuable lessons, pushed me beyond my limits, and inspired me to strive for greatness.'
I"m Marc Jefferson Bonifacio and ending this journey of Pasiklaban 2024 with a great great heart.

“Serpents have represented many things throughout the course of history: fertility, life, and healing, but also evil, corruption, and chaos. Gorgons have found themselves ostracized for the latter, seen as the true monsters amongst the other supernaturals. Such is not the case, of course, but there’s no shifting the narrative, no undoing the stories of your cruelty— the old maid’s tale has taken everything from you.”
Born into what was once punishment by Gods due to imminent jealousy and tainting of what was sacred, Beryl never saw a world without hatred and fear. Has a world like that ever existed, though?
The constant hiss following her footsteps as if it were an ovation to her walk, Beryl never went unnoticed, even without the poison-drenched praise trailing the way.
Long has it been since she cared about the whispers and fear her mere presence could rise, she lived for it, she would ask them to speak louder and say it to her face if they dared, and those who have done it no longer breathed. Men were frightened by stone, or perhaps to be defeated by a woman whose beauty did not land on the delicacy, but power. A gorgon was meant to be feared and Beryl happened to enjoy every second of it.
Beryl was born from a Gorgon Mother and an unknown (to the public) father. She was her mother's only child as the woman did not wish to pass on the curse to anybody else. Beryl was not in her plans either.
She has been alive for over 600 years and has moved all over the world, never wanting to change her human appearance but neither wanting to be hunted or questioned for maintaining her youth.
Beryl has full control of her power and she must turn to her real form (snakes for hair and slight reptile features) to use it.
There was a time when her power went out of hand and her emotions got the best of her, ending up with multiple people turned into stone. This was when she decided to get the best use of it and pass it for art.
She owns galleries all over the world, sells her own art, and also holds expositions for other artists.
In Las Vegas, she owns the Viper's Tongue Gallery.
Beryl has stayed in Vegas for longer than she would have preferred but her debt has her anchored to the place, and nothing pisses her off more than owing something to mortals.
She can be perceived as a cruel woman but there is more to her than her cruelty.
Males can get on her nerves rather quickly but this doesn't happen to her with women, with them she can be quite patient.
Humans in general get on her nerves, real humans and humans with a twist, but she has learned to tolerate them.
More things will be added, low-key in construction.

Kung Fu Panda: A Tale of Martial Arts and Humor
Tumblr media
Kung Fu Panda, a 2008 animated wuxia comedy from DreamWorks Animation, directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne, brought a refreshing twist to the animated film genre. Featuring a stellar voice cast including Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and Jackie Chan, the film introduces us to a whimsical world where anthropomorphic animals thrive in ancient China.
The story follows Po Ping, a clumsy yet enthusiastic giant panda who dreams of becoming a kung fu master despite working in his adoptive father Mr. Ping’s noodle shop. His life takes an unexpected turn when the wise and mystical Grand Master Oogway names him the "Dragon Warrior," tasked with stopping the villainous Tai Lung, a snow leopard with a vendetta and a lust for power.
Upon its release on June 6, 2008, Kung Fu Panda quickly became a box office hit. It earned $20.3 million on its opening day and a remarkable $60.2 million over the opening weekend, clinching the top spot at the box office. This success marked it as DreamWorks Animation's largest opening for a non-sequel and the highest-grossing animated film of the year worldwide. It also enjoyed the fourth largest opening for any DreamWorks film in the American and Canadian markets, trailing behind the Shrek sequels.
In the film, Po's journey from an enthusiastic but ineffective kung fu fan to a genuine martial arts hero is both hilarious and heartwarming. Shifu, the red panda kung fu master, initially struggles to see potential in Po but eventually discovers that Po's unique motivation—food—can be harnessed to develop a new kung fu style. With the help of the Furious Five—Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper, and Crane—Po learns that believing in oneself can turn the seemingly impossible into reality.
The film's success led to the release of Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011 and Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2016, expanding the story of Po and his kung fu adventures. The franchise also includes a TV series, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, which premiered on Nickelodeon in 2011.
The film's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, 2008, was met with a standing ovation, and its subsequent releases were met with critical acclaim. It performed exceptionally well in the home video market, with 7.5 million DVD units sold in 2008, making it one of the year's top sellers.
In Indonesia, Kung Fu Panda was dubbed into Indonesian and aired on various local channels, further solidifying its global appeal.
With its charming blend of humor, action, and an inspirational message, Kung Fu Panda continues to be celebrated for its unique take on the martial arts genre and its enduring impact on animation.

Do you think your vote counts?
Tumblr media
“Ladies and gentlemen, mister honourable President,” the monkey whispers in his baritone voice into the mike. The large crowd of people fell totally quiet. The press reported there were at least one million party fanatics stuffed into the stadium built for only about two hundred thousand. You could hear a pin drop. Sixteen golden cobras crawled into the arena. Directly behind them were eight black mambas sliding in unison. Four gaboon vipers, their fangs venomously exposed, slithered in, following closely. Taking the rear was the Oxyuranus microlepidotus, the snake with the deadliest venom in the world. Its red-orange skin, beaded with silver threads, reflected the gleams of the morning sun, as it moved in tight circular curves to protect the Head of State. The Oxyuranus microlepidotus was specially acquired from a decorated snake breeder whose ancestors have raised deadly serpents for more than fifty generations in the deserts of India. His Excellency, Ijapa the tortoise, was carried into the arena in a golden carriage hoisted on the shoulders of four large gorillas, each weighing more than 600 pounds. Ijapa and his beautiful wife, Madam Queen Yannibo sat inside the diamond-studded, golden seats of the carriage. Ijapa beamed generous smiles at the crowd, waiving at his hands and nodding his head at the party fanatics that, upon sighting him, burst into screams of ovations, each yelling as loud as their lungs would allow. Madam Yannibo, maintaining her characteristic calm face, wore a pair of dark glasses. Nobody had ever seen her eyes before. His Excellency and the Queen stepped down the stairs of the carriage, and His Excellency made their way to the golden rostrum, while Queen Yannibo was seated on a golden couch placed next to the rostrum. Her fingers were laden with diamond rings and bangles carved from precious stones dug from the richest private mine in southern Africa. Ijapa cleared his throat, and the crowd fell silent again. “My family,” Ijapa started, “special greetings to you.” The crowd screamed and yelled back their greetings. “I thank you,” Ijapa continued. “You are loyal. Our land is blessed with loyal folks. Except, of course, for a few traitors.” The crowd yelled back, “Kill them! Jail them! Brutalize them!!!” “We will not be mean to them,” Ijapa continued. “We are God-fearing animals. Since the revolution in which the so-called Low Animalia overthrew the so-called High Animalia, our land has known peace, progress, and happiness for all and sundry.” “Yeah!!!!!” yelled the crowd. “Now they say we must have another election,” Ijapa continued, speaking slowly in a presidential manner. “I tell them, there is no need for an election. Why waste money on holding elections when the entire population of the land, from the smallest baby to the oldest folks, everybody loves me and wants me to remain the President.” The crowd began to chant “Four more years! Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!” “Only four more years?” Ijapa asked them rhetorically. “Some have raised songs about Life Presidency. I said no.” “President for life! President for life! President for life! President for life!” The crowd screamed. “The last four years since I became president have witnessed tremendous developments throughout the land,” Ijapa said. We have completed so many important projects, I have lost count of their number. And we have started even more ambitious programs.” “President for life! President for life! President for life! President for life!” The crowd yelled. “But of course, the negative people are never satisfied,” Ijapa continued. “They accuse us of corruption, theft, and incompetence. Without any proof.” The crowd yelled back, “Kill them! Jail them! Brutalize them!!!” “They are funded by foreign agents, as our intelligence has discovered,” Ijapa said. “Just to prove to the backbiters that there is no alternative to me as President, I agree to hold an election.” “President for life! President for life! President for life! President for life!” The crowd screamed. “Those of you in favor of me continuing as the president, say ‘Aye,’” Ijapa said. “Aye, aye, President for life! President for life! Aye, aye, President for life! Aye, aye, President for life!” The crowd screamed. “The Ayes have won,” Ijapa said. “ I humbly, yet reluctantly again, accept your election to the position of the President.” “President for life! President for life! President for life! President for life!” The crowd screamed. “We caught the ringleader of those plotting to overthrow the presidency,” Ijapa announced solemnly. “Alas, he was my best friend. Bí ikú ilé ò bá pa ni, tòde ò lè pa ni: your worst enemy is your best friend and your best friend is your worst enemy, as Bob Marley taught us. My best friend is my worst enemy, as I just discovered.” The crowd yelled back, “Kill him! Jail him! Brutalize him!!!” “To serve as a lesson to others who are silently plotting to harm this benevolent government,” Ijapa continued, “we have left no option than capital punishment. I will not mention the name. It is too foul for my tongue to pronounce. You will see this evil one when he is led in for public execution.” The crowd fell silent. Immediately, the large iron gate of an entrance opened and Aja, the dog, was led in on a leash held by four monkeys. They led Aja to the Ogun shrine to be beheaded. “Do you have any final word to say before you are beheaded?” Ijapa asked Aja. Aja tried to speak, but could not make any sound because his mouth was gagged. “I’m not surprised Aja has nothing to say,” Ijapa said. “Let sleeping dogs lie, people say. This dog not only lies, but it is also an incurable liar. You may continue to carry out the judicial sentence.” The Monkey-Executioner raised the sword to behead the dog. I suddenly woke up, drenched in my sweat. A dog was barking outside. Happy election season, folks. Do you think your vote counts? Do you think the results will make a difference in the lives of our people? Please tell me why. May the best candidate prevail.

Jeff Buckley’s Les Paul (Copy)
Popular Jeff Buckley Gear
1983 Fender Telecaster Toploader
This is without a doubt Jeff’s best-known guitar, but a little less known fact is…
Series 10 "Flower" Telecaster
According to a post made over at JBCommunity forums, Jeff got this guitar as a gift…
Alesis Quadraverb
This is a rack unit guitar processor, that probably contributed the most to making what’s…
1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom
Chronologically looking, this was the second Les Paul that Jeff owned and played. However, it…
Fender Vibroverb ’63 Reissue
This was the amp that Jeff used for the most part of his career, seen on photos taken…
Unknown Guitar
Jeff was first seen using the guitar circa 1985. At that time he was in…
When Jeff was around 13 or 14 years old, he received a Paul guitar as a birthday present from his mother and his stepfather.
Then when he was about 14 (1980), for his birthday, he asked for [this part cuts of during the video, so it’s not positive that these are exact words] a guitar, a real guitar. And that’s when we all chipped in to get him the Les Paul.
vimeo
I got an electric guitar at thirteen – a black Les Paul copy that sounded pretty good. Yes, that’s how it started… According to Jeff’s friend, Jason Hamel, who was kind enough to provide some details about the guitar, Jeff had this Les Paul when the two first met, in 1981. Jason also suspects that Jeff got the guitar way before his 14th birthday (1980) since only a year later he could already play some serious stuff. As he points out, it is also possible that Jeff had a guitar prior to this which he used to practice on.
Jeff was still 14 in September of 81, and he was such an incredible guitarist by that point that I would have to assume he’d been playing for years already. Don’t know if he had another guitar before that.
Be that as it may, also according to Jason, in 1982 Jeff switched to a different guitar, Ovation Viper, which he purchased at Pete’s Music. Apparently, the Les Paul had a really sharp saddle on it that kept breaking strings, so the Viper was a much-needed upgrade (thanks Jason).
As a final note, it is important to note that this is not the same guitar that Jeff used in the 90s, which was an original Gibson Les Paul Custom. Jeff’s first Les Paul, although also black in similar in appearance, was a Gibson knockoff/copy.
