so the netflix show has already shown us two of dream's other aspects, kai'ckul and the king of cats, but one of my favourite things about the endless in the comics is that they have a different incarnation for every single species and culture that has ever experienced them, in this case, if your people dream, you have a personalised Dream
and the comics are also part of the dcu, which means there are a LOT of other species out there to dream
many of these screenshots were taken from one issue which involves a meeting in dream's head between all of his different incarnations, some are just from other places in the comic, but my personal favourites include:
l'zoril, dream god of the green martians
to fill out the superheroes requirement, kryptonian dream
fish dream
flower dream, and tree dream
femme dream, with just as much dedication to not wearing a shirt as her masculine counterpart
bird dream, insect dream, and robotic insect dream
two different kinds of cat person
these funky lil guys
whatever is going on here with the tentacle robot, the teen titans looking motherfucker, the dragon, and the guy in the witch hat (all equally dream of the endless)
a literal stone statue that speaks mostly in egyptian hieroglyphs
and then there's this guy

No, I don’t care if it’s “just the overture” or “only the orchestra.” I don’t care if there’s no one technically onstage yet. Put your phones away and stop talking. The show has started.

My review for Hazbin Hotel episode one.
I will try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible, but, just in case, I will tag with spoilers.
1)The singing
The singing is amazing. Erika really put her heart into Charlie's vocals, and it's very clear. Vaggie sings too, just a few lines though. Hopefully she'll get a solo in a different episode.
Alex succeeds in making Adam as unlikable as possible. However, his singing part is actually pretty enjoyable.
2) The humor
Vaggie definitely shines her as her delivery of sarcastic lines had the most laughs out of me.
3) The plot
A lot of people, including me, expected the first episode to be a bit of a redo of the pilot. However, that is not the case. Episode one starts off right where the pilot left off. There are no formal character introductions, they just jump right into it. I did expect at least a little recap for the newbies, but I don't mind too much because this means the pilot is canon.
4) The lore. /slight spoiler warning?/
The lore is pretty interesting. We get a bit of a deep dive into the backstory of Lucifer and Lilith. We also learn that Charlie hasn't heard from her mom in seven years, but Charlie very much looks up to her and wants to make her proud. I just really hope we get to see some mother-daughter bonding. Why's Viv so scared of showing us a good mother?
5) Highlights
The highlights of this episode would definitely be:
Niffty, she is so freaken adorable!
Vaggie's heart for Charlie🥰
The songs
And, Lute, even though we only got like one line from her, I can already tell I love her.
I can't wait for episode 2!
