Suddenly gripped with the idea of Eddie and Steve taking each other’s last names to piss everyone off. Eddie taking the prestigious Harrington name because he thinks it’s hilarious that it’s now attached to a social pariah queer metal rocker who retook his senior year of high school 3 times and is surrounded by rumors that he’s a zombie. Steve taking the Munson name as a big fuck you not only to his family but also to the persistent accusations about Eddie being a murderer/satanist/etc.

Also for the hijinks of responding to people by their new names and freaking them out - some old teammate of Steve’s seeing them out and about and yelling “didn’t know you were a puff, Harrington” and Eddie in his sluttiest show clothes turning around and saying “what gave it away?” with a big ol shit eating grin. Someone muttering something about ‘the Munson kid ruining that good Harrington boy’s life’ and Steve turning around, shooting absolute daggers and saying “I think I’m a good influence on him, actually.”
