I was wondering if you could do a socmed au with max verstappen in which he's secretly dating a nurse or a med student; where he likes meets her on vacation in croatia where she's studying; she sings in a klapa (a traditional acapella group) and he ends up at one of her performances, and there is like media coverage on how he was seen with an unknown girl,,, they keep their relationship secret until some gossip site gets pics of them together infront of the hospital with her in uniform and they soft launch after that

maxverstappen1 yes, the rumors are true. i have a girlfriend, and she is indeed a nurse at the local hospital in Croatia. we decided to keep the relationship to ourselves because i didn't want her privacy taken away from her, or her focus shifted from her studies. i wish we could have had the opportunity of announcing this on our own terms, but the paparazzi got the best of us this time. i urge you all to be respectful towards her, any hate towards her will absolutely not be tolerated by me or anyone from my team. i hope you will come to love and respect her as much as i do

Prompt 19 - Unbreakable Vow

 Remus was tumbling through an old book of ancient magic that Sirius had stolen from his family library to give to Remus as a birthday present. 

Remus was enjoying learning about all the old magics that he knew nothing about and learning a bit more in-depth about the ones he knew. 

He flipped the page over and read the next spell, the Unbreakable Vow. 

“My family tried to get me to make one of those one.” Sirius perched his head on Remus’s shoulder, making him jump. He’d been engrossed in his book.

Remus cleared his throat. 

“What were they trying to get you to make a vow over?” He asked, curiosity getting the better of him. 

“Oh, they wanted me to swear that I wouldn’t disgrace the House of Black.” He said as if it were a simple request. 

“Godric, Sirius. Did you make it?” Remus could think of multiple ways Sirius had brought at least some disgrace to his family’s name since the summer. 

“No, of course not. I’d be long dead by now. No, Great Uncle Alphard managed to get them to stop as he pointed out that any little slip-up and they’d be out an heir. It sucks for them because they ended up losing an heir anyway, but at least I live to bring disgrace to the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black.” He nuzzled his nose into Remus’s neck. Remus snorted as Sirius’s hair tickled him. “Thanks for helping with that, by the way.” Remus pulled his head back and looked questioningly at Sirius. 

“My family have no use for male family members who prefer the company of men and having you at my side, and nothing they can do about it must be making so many of my ancestors spin in their ridiculous mausoleum tombs.” Remus raised his eyebrows as mischief flashed in his eyes. 

“Oh, so I’m a trophy gay? Just keeping me around to look good and annoy your family?” Sirius wrapped his arms around Remus’s shoulders. 

“Hmmm, yes. My incredibly sexy trophy boyfriend who just so happens to be gay. Who, I am about to take upstairs and allow him to disgrace my family name just a bit more. 

Liking the sound of that, Remus shut his book and hurried after Sirius as they climbed the stairs to the boy’s dorms.

First time Togashi posted on twitter, he was on chapter 397, page 6. It took five months from that post (May 24 - Oct 23, 2022) for chapter 391 to be published.

Today, he posted chapter 405, page 5.

He has mentioned several times that he is continuously working to find the best system to make his manga. The system for 391-400 was not as efficient as he wanted, but seemed optimistic in his 401 post. This, combined with his Sailor Moon reference about healing means he may be feeling better and/or has figured a better system.

If we just add two chapters to his previous rate, we can guess that we see Chapter 401 this November (~six months). However, depending on his current system, back pain levels, and other possible events, it could be before or after that who knows.

Other facts for the timeline I guess:

Chapter 400 was completed on November 22, 2022

Chapter 401 was completed on March 9, 2022.

In between 401 and now, he posted this "Start Over" tweet on October 1, 2023, "Start Over" being a reference to the song by Sakurazaka46, used in this official video

Hey there! I just found these preview pages from volume 38, though I'm not sure what they say and if they're legit. Wondering if you've seen them as well?

These first pages usually show the characters that are going to be in the volume. What stood out to me is that Gon is there as well! Now, from a quick translation from the internet, it basically says that he's unable to see aura and he's on a homecoming (?) trip. Then on the bottom there is a synopsis on what has happened so far in the manga. Does this mean we'll see Gon in the upcoming chapters? I'm trying to not get my hopes up but...

So, you may already know this, but I want to make it clear first that Volume 38 will only contain chapters that have already been released (391-400)--so Gon definitely won't be appearing in the chapters collected in Volume 38. These are the chapters we got back in the end of 2022, before Togashi went on the hiatus that will be ending in October. Typically the previous 10 chapters are only collected into a volume and released around the same time more chapters are about to come out, so that's why this volume is only being released now.

Also, Gon has been listed in the character summary page throughout the Succession War arc as far as I recall, so, it's nice that he's still included but it unfortunately isn't a change from previous volumes, where he also never appeared.

While Gon being on the cover was a welcome surprise that I'm very happy about, I don't think either it or the character introduction page are strong signs of his impending return. However, Togashi clearly doesn't want us to forget about him, and is reminding us that he's still one of the main characters of the series, so I think it's a great sign for the series going back to him over the longer term!!

HxH is very unpredictable, so Gon could technically return at any time, whenever Togashi deems the story has come to that point. However, with how many characters and plot points are being juggled in Succession War, I personally am not anticipating his return particularly soon. We could get a cameo or small scene or something, but I don't think there's a lot of space to go back into his character arc quite yet. I think we may still need to wait a while before he's part of the story again, but I do think it's coming at some point--perhaps at the end of this arc, or when the story does a major shift.

Gon does have ties to the Dark Continent, with Ging and his presumed ancester Don Freecss being both being connected to it, and Killua does as well, via Nanika, so I think when the Dark Continent itself becomes more prominent in the series, it's possible we'll see them return to the story. But as usual, it's hard to predict what Togashi has up his sleeve. I am confident we'll see them again, though, and all the focus Togashi has put on especially Gon this year (with all his tweets of art of him, this cover, etc.), I'm sure Gon will be back when the time is right!

Not reading Homestuck anymore. This is now a blog where I talk about all my favorite video game characters, like Solid Snake from Metal Gear, or Chell from Portal, or Jean Forrester from KIng's Field, or-

ok in that case I can still talk about Homestuck.

I'm extremely curious on if John feels physically different inside Sburb. Some elements of his surroundings are sustained by the game - such as the wifi - and we don't know if, for example, John still needs to eat and sleep. He still has physical limitations (he can't wield the sledgehammer) but that's just his strength stat now. And what about sound cues, which are really common in video games but don't seem to exist for John, given how there's no enemy alert sound before the shale imp sneaks up on him? (I love how the screen pixelates at this moment - especially with the imp being so colorful vs everything else's black and white, it's a very cool effect).

Does Showtime begin playing out loud for him when the shale imp engages him in combat? Is he like 'whoa, that's my song, Sburb is playing my song?' Sburban Jungle, which played during the game's installation, is the closest thing we know of to a generic Sburb theme tune - but Sburb is intelligent in some way and responsive to its player, so is it possible that the game has picked up the music from John's piano and is incorporating it into the game?

The shale imp holding the bunny hostage is a direct recreation of the Con Air scene linked from p.20, except John is not a badass Nic Cage, he's a kid with no fighting experience. Aside from the reference, I wonder if there's a reason the imp is so interested in the bunny, and if it has some value to the game enemies. They're probably not big movieheads, but there could be something hidden inside it? Or it could be the most obvious item that John's emotionally attached to, and the game is trying to manipulate him.

I am thinking again about who made Sburb and what their goals and intentions were with this game. Is this just a negligent 'look what technology makes possible' deal or are they trying to kidnap people into their game world for some end? If so, is that just opportunistic, taking whoever happens to figure out the game best,or did they invite specific people to beta test because the designers want something with them specifically? Now that John is fully immersed in the game world I need to sit down and look for more clues about Sburb itself.

Also John's data structures book looks like complete trash, but I bet Dave would think it's genius. It finally, perfectly explains why Dave's room is furnished with cinderblocks - he's used them to weaponize his sylladex. New headcanon that Dave bought John this book for his birthday last year.

Ok, something has been bugging me about Dain and his signet, and I want to talk about it for a second.

I was thinking back over Fourth Wing and Iron Flame to see if there were any moments where Vi consented to having her memories read, and not only was the answer no, somethig HELLA chilling popped up when I went back to check the text.

When Xaden explains to Vi that Dain has to touch someone's face to read their memories, her response is "...that's how he always touches me" (Fourth Wing, 450). I get that Dain's signet is secret and he can't just TELL Vi what he can do when he catches her immediately after she crosses the parapet, but one of the first things he does in that scene is take her chin (Fourth Wing, 32) in his fingers. He establishes a pattern of behavior, normalizes his touching her face as a habit. And yes, it could be argued that not touching her face would also give away his signet somehow, but as the person with knowledge, Dain is responsible for the ethics of using and setting patterns around his signet. He either had to just...NOT touch her face, which child be justified by not wanting to make her look weak or come clean. But Dain "my heart is a rulebook" Aetos does neither. And what does THAT do? It puts Vi in a vulnerable as hell position with someone she thinks she is safe with.

Even take the rebellion and Athebyne out if the equation for a sec. Vi almost certainly has memories that are just simply private. Not a massive secret, not a liability, just HERS. And for a huge part of the book, she is just letting Dain touch her face, potentially opening up memories she doesn't want him to know about to his signet. That is a power dynamic so absolutely fucky that I don't have words for it. And then we circle back to the reality that Dain did cross the line and try to take memories by force in Fourth Wing--and succeeding the one time we know about got Liam and Deigh killed. And this is just the main example that we know about. I'm not ruling out that there were other examples still to come to light; we have three books to go in this series.

I honestly also wouldn't have put it past Dain to do a quick memory check when he holds Vi's face at threshing before he kisses her (Fourth Wing, 191). He was NOT happy with Xaden for interfering, and I suspect he wanted a look at what happened without Xaden's input. This is purely my theory, there's no real textual evidence, but I am sus. He also cups her face again the day after threshing (Fourth Wing, 203), which is actively a worse choice I'd he slept on it and THEN checked her memories. I also find it wildly suspicious that the next time Vi sees Dain, she is with Tairn, who actively threatens Dains life if he comes within arm's reach of Vi (Fourth Wing, 215). We know Tairn knew things Vi didn't, so was he already preventing rebellion info from sliding to leadership?

Vi herself doesn't put a hard boundary on the face touching until Dain gets offended by Xaden accusing Amber of violating the codex and goes "gimme" (Fourth Wing, 244-245), but she sets it...for a while. The math on the Athebyne thing works out to Xaden telling Vi that's where he goes on page 391, and then Violet Goddamn Sorrengail gets nostalgic for Dain at the celebration with the king and everyone's parents and let's Dain cup her cheek again on page 405. Which is really goddamn tight timing when you think about it, because he touched her face at the beginning of this party, she and Xaden have their little tete a tete on the parapet, sneak off to have great sex for the rest of the night, and the next morning they are assigned to Athebyne. So Dain literally had to corner his Dad at the party and then Colonel Aetos probably spent the rest of the night changing the war game assignments and setting up Xaden's group to be killed.

Dain Aetos likes hard rules, but not ethics. This just gets even more screwy in Iron Flame, once Varrish gets his hooks in Vi.

If one wanted to be more generous than I'm feeling, one could say that Varrish was being polite about trying to get Dain to read Vi's memories in interrogation class (Iron Flame, 228-230), but honestly the motherfucker just saw an opportunity and rolled with it. And here is where Dain having the codex shoved far enough up his ass that it comes out his mouth is actually a win, because he rules-lawyered the spirit of the codex to refuse an order, but goddamn it was a close thing. This man was REACHING FOR VI'S FACE before he stopped himself.

I'm not like...surprised that Varrish isn't teaching our boy ethics, but I'm a little surprised Vi never called Dain's ass out for his lack of ethics regarding his signet. It's possible I read the Arrows of the Queen trilogy a few too many times though.

What Dain noticeably doesn't do the SECOND time Varrish drags him into an interrogation session with Violet is hesitate. Like he so fails to hesitate that VARRISH of all people has to remind Dain that he actually was taught ethics (Iron Flame, 316).

I think he deserves to experience everything Vi shows him, but the fact that it took THAT MUCH to get his head out of his ass? Yeah, no, we are not doing a Dain Aetos redemption arc.

Because when it comes right down to it, Dain was a) a shitty friend, b) absolutely godawful at ethics and morality, c) to married to rules for his own good, and d) knowingly put Violet in a vulnerable situation vis a vis his signet. Like...its a WAR COLLEGE. You're not running around touching people's faces on the regular anyway, just DONT. TOUCH. HER. FACE. Not before she knows about your signet at the very least, and probably not without her explicit consent after that, because here's the thing: at no point in Fourth Wing or Iron Flame did Dain EVER explicitly ask permission to touch Vi. He just DID it. Right from the beginning, after parapet, at threshing, and at the party, he just put hands on her without asking. And then in Iron Flame he's ordered to explicitly against her will, and as much as I love a good rescue, it does not excuse the massive ethical and consent breaches that have become a PATTERN with Dain.

So those are my thoughts about Dain, his signet, and ethics. All I can say is, I am still extremely not here for a Dain Aetos redemption arc.

The similarities with Mor & Elain in regards to Azriel

Mor =red & Elain = pink.

Azriel’s shadows

* “Azriel arrived first, no shadows to be seen, my sister a pale, golden mass in his arms. Elain’s golden brown hair snagging in some of the black scales across his chest and shoulders” (pg 253, ACOWAR)

* “That smile grew, bright enough that it lit up even Azriel’s shadows across the room” (Pg 693, ACOWAR)

* Elain sucked in a breath that whispered over his skin. His shadows skittered back at the sound. They’d always been prone to vanish when she was around. (Az’s BC)

* “It was almost enough to distract me from noticing Azriel as those shadows lightened, and his gaze slid over Mor’s body” (pg 160, ACOMAF)

* “Mor patted Azriel on the shoulder as she dodged his outstretched wing. The lurking shadows vanished entirely as Azriel’s head dipped a bit.” (Pg 161, ACOMAF)

* “Yes—Azriel, who kept a step away, whose shadows trailed him and seemed to fade in her presence” (pg 239, ACOMAF)

* Azriel choked on what I could have sworn was a laugh, his normally shadowed face lightning up as Mor bustled in, pink with cold and puffing air into her hands. (Pg 100, ACOFAS)

Azriel refusing something on the behalf of them, despite them saying yes.

* “We could try again,” Mor said. “Let me speak to them, let me go to their palace—“ “No,” Azriel said. Mor raised her brows, a faint color stained Azriel’s tan face. But his features were set. His hazel eyes solid. “You’re not setting foot in that human realm.” “I fought in the War, you will do well to remember—“ “No,” Azriel said again, refusing to break her stare. His shifting wings rasped against the back of his chair. “They will string you up and make an example out of you.” (pg 391)

* Azriel stiffened, an outright sign of temper from him as he said quietly, “there is an innate darkness to the dread trove that Elain should not be exposed to.” (Page 311)

Blood duels

* “That’s an Autumn Court tradition.” The battle to the death was so brutal it was only enacted in rare cases. Despite being an outsider, Azriel had wanted to invoke it when he’d found Mor all those years ago. Had been ready to challenge both Beron and Eris to Blood Duels and kill them both. Only Mor’s right to claim their heads in vengeance had kept him from doing so.” (Azriel’s bonus chapter)

“Oh, I can, and I will. If Lucien finds out you’re pursuing her, he has every right to defend their bond as he sees fit. Including invoking the blood duel.” “Lucien as beron son, has the right to demand it of you.” “I’ll defeat him with little effort.”

Questioning about the mating bond

* “Azriel,” Rhys said, “has been preoccupied with the same female for the past five hundred years.” “Wouldn’t the mating bond have snapped into place for them if it exist?“ Rhys’s eyes shuttered. “I think that is a question Azriel has been asking himself every day since he met Mor.” (Page 259, ACOMAF)

* “The cauldron chose 3 sisters. Tell me how it’s possible that my 2 brothers are with 2 of the sisters, yet the third was given to another.” He had never before dared speak the words aloud. Rhys face drained of color. “You believe you deserve to be her mate?” Azriel scowled. “I think Lucien will never be good enough for her, and she has no interest in him anyway.” “So you’ll what?” Rhys voice was pure ice. “Seduce her away from him?” Azriel said nothing. He hadn’t gotten that far with his planning, certainly not beyond the fantasies he pleasured himself to. (Azriel’s bonus chapter)

Literally everything Azriel is doing with Elain, he has already done with Mor. It’s nothing new. Azriel questioning about why elain isn’t his mate is not no foreshadowing for them being one true mates or no BS like that because he’s done the same thing with Mor.

We can also see opposite things with mor and Azriel & Elain and Azriel. Azriel decided to avoid Elain but he was quick to agree to be around Mor. He was giving Mor such heated looks that even Feyre, as an outsider in acomaf can see and point out. And Mor was with several lovers. But Azriel, who has sexual feelings for Elain doesn’t even give her the same heated looks when they are with others and he was looking at elain with pity in ACOFAS and no one in this series likes to be pitied. He went out of his way to be closer to Mor, especially in acomaf as much as he can but has done the exact opposite with Elain in acosf.

It’s crazy how people ship Azriel and elain after Feyre said, “And I think Elain—Elain would like it too. Though she’d probably cling to Azriel, just to have some peace and quiet.” I smiled at the thought, how handsome they would be together.” But then she proceeded to say this right after “if the warrior ever stopped quietly loving Mor. I doubted it. Azriel would likely love Mor until he was a whisper of darkness between the stars. (Page 487, ACOMAF). There was no build up in acomaf of Elriel because it got shot right back down due to Mor. You would think elriels would hate Mor more than Gwyn.

And I’m suppose to think that Elain will be ok with Azriel’s behavior, his cruelty, his icy rage, his violence, when Mor who is a warrior herself, who knows violence gets scared of Azriel behavior.

* “Mor gets spooked. And what Az did today scare the shit out of her.” “The violence?” “The violence as a result of what he feels, lingering guilt over the deal with Eris—and what neither of them will face.” (Page 460, ACOWAR)

This is after the high lords meeting.

* she looked up at him, her face so trusting and hopeful and open that he knew she had no idea that he had done unspeakable things that sullied his hands far beyond their scars. Such terrible things that it was sacrilege for his fingers to touch her skin, tainting her with his presence. (Azriel’s bonus chapter)

Azriel knew that Elain only looked at him with trust because she doesn’t know what Azriel really does and who Azriel really is. We know that cruelty & the hewn city bothers Elain and Azriel is the embodiment of cruelty & the hewn city since that’s where he takes his victims and tortures them.

How people don’t see that Elain and Azriel is not a good fit is beyond me.

MHA S7 - How many manga chapters are they gonna animate this season?

I kinda did the math here just now...

Season 7 is gonna have 21 episodes and they started animating from manga chapter 329. The final Todoroki family drama chapter was 390. So from chapter 329 to 390, we have a total of 61 chapters.

Also, for S7 Ep 01, they covered only 3 chapters of the manga while for Ep 02 and 03, they covered 4 chapters each. So suppose they animate at least 3 chapters for one episode, then for 21 episodes it's gonna be = (21 x 3) = a total of 63 chapters.

Also, we need to keep in mind that many of the chapters in this Final Arc are quite short in size like 10-13 pages long which is quite short for a WSJ magazine-published manga.

So I think we might get all of the Todoroki family drama stuff in this season. I might be right, I might be wrong. Whatever it is, I just want Studio Bones to animate this season (especially the Todoroki family drama stuff) beautifully.

Also, where are they gonna end? Not sure but after the Todoroki family stuff we have Toga vs. Uraraka which is from manga chapter 391 to 395. And from chapter 396, the All Might vs. AFO fight starts.

So season 7 will probably end with the Toga vs. Uraraka fight and tease us with the beginning of the AFO vs. All Might fight before wrapping up the season. Then season 8 will open up with the All Might vs. AFO fight.
