My sister Soso is STILL very sick! Her fever won’t go down and she won’t stop screaming because of the pain, intense heat and hunger. We’re running out of medicine and the only food we have left is spoiled. Going to the hospital is too dangerous lately so we don’t know what to do. Chickenpox is supposed to be benign, but her body has been weakened by nearly two years of genocide.

Please help her. I know it looks like we’ve already received more than enough, and I’m thankful for every single dollar donated, but no one can imagine the inflation that’s hit us. Everything we receive is spent immediately on rent, food, medicine, a turn on the phone charger, an internet connection. A 25kg sack of flour costs $1,000 and medicines are a rarity. As for clean water, we just haven’t tasted it in 18 months.

Please, if you can’t donate it’s okay, but there’s someone out there who can and who will see our situation if you share. Anything helps!!

I’ve shared Nader’s @abdalsalam1990 family’s fundraiser on here many times, but they are still only 25% to their goal

Nader is only a 17 year old child, but spends every day reaching out to people and trying to get help for his brothers Abdulsalams fundraiser for their family. His father suffers from cancer and needs treatment he can’t get in Gaza to survive, and his little niece is only 1 year old and suffers from malnutrition. It’s very urgent to get them help. Nader works very hard every single day to get his family to safety because he loves his family, and any family would be lucky to have a son and brother like him. But no child should have to do this just to survive. He should be going to school and hanging out with his friends. You can help take that weight off his shoulders. They dropped paper leaflets ordering us to evacuate... But to where? We don’t know. There is no safe place !!

From time to time, I hear the screams of children and women, then silence after the sound of an explosion... I don’t know where the sound came from, or if those who screamed are still alive !

@ahmedkhabil needs help to provide for himself, his parents, his wife, and their two children until they can evacuate to egypt. his father is terribly injured and their child is sick. they need far better medical treatment than is currently available in gaza, as the cost of medicine continues to rise. the campaign has just been updated today (october 5th) with this photo, describing the ever increasing cost of food:

I have been in contact with Dina for a while now and have periodically made new posts to help promote her and her families fundraiser. hi everyone. new post because the old one had a lot of notes, but was losing traction quickly. this campaign has been organized by a friend of a friend of mine who i know through my undergraduate university, and due to circumstances in her personal life, i and two others will be taking on sole responsibility for boosting this campaign from now on.

Mohammed is a 29 year old engineer, who has been separated from his wife, who has been evacuated to Egypt. He needs money urgently in order to afford a tent and pay for live saving medical treatment. This cannot wait.

PLEASE DON’T IGNORE ME!!

My four-year-old sister Soso has caught chickenpox from other children. It would be fine if her body hadn’t been weakened to the extreme by almost two years of malnutrition, sickness, poor life conditions, lack of sleep and lack of access to clean water. She’s very sick and won’t stop crying. She’s battling a high fever while baking in the intense summer heat. All I can do is fan her face with a piece of paper because we don’t even have windows to shield us.

Until now, we held on to our gold rings because they held sentimental value, but yesterday we sold them to buy medicine for her. As painful as it was to part with this last piece of our old lives, it’s not enough. She needs more medicine, she needs food, she needs clean water. I can’t bear watching her deteriorate anymore, what is her fault?!

Please help me help her. She’s only four, how is this fair? At the very least please share this post if you see it. You might not be able to donate, but someone out there can and we need to reach them. Please!!

An Update

For a while now, I have been helping my friend Akram fundraise on here, trying to raise the money for him and his brother to leave Gaza and attend school abroad, and more recently to help his family rebuild their home that was destroyed by the bombing. A few days ago, however, Akram came to me with the news that he has decided to close his campaign. The slow progress and constant effort left him frustrated and hopeless of ever reaching his goal. However, the money that was donated still made a difference, and he will find another way to achieve his dreams.

The good news is that his sister, Laila @laylaayman-blog2, has given birth to her second child, to the joy of the whole family. He is named Mohammed after his martyred uncle.

Laila is still fundraising so that she can provide her infant son and young daughter with basic necessities. Please continue to support Akram and Laila's family by donating to and sharing this campaign.
