I drew the Heartsteel boys with cats to make into stickers. I adore Aphelios but I think Kayn is my favorite of these drawings.

Do you ever just think, Batman passed the bat paranoia down to his children. Like, the Teen Titans will be chilling and Beast Boy asks what Robin would do if he turned evil and Robin just has a detailed file on each of them, counting all possible outcomes on how to take him down and their weaknesses. Jon asks Damian the same question and Damian has the most detailed contingency plan Jon’s ever seen, plus eight backups. The JL makes the mistake of mentioning it to Batman and he spends hours walking them all through what to do if he goes evil. Everyone is both impressed and concerned with the level of craziness and paranoia in that family. Clark will just walk in to the Batcave and see Bruce buried under a forest’s worth of papers full of what to do in any circumstance ever. Someone asks what to do if Alfred goes evil and every single bat pops up at the same time and says, “run” in the most serious voice possible.

According to a recent report published by the Aargauer Zeitung (h/t Golem.de), around three million smart toothbrushes have been infected by hackers and enslaved into botnets.
The most cyberpunk thing on your dash today.

Red Flags In A DM
Their copy of the Dungeon Master's Guide is blatantly a copy of Guide To American Birdspotting with a crude drawing of an orc over the red-bellied finch
Instead of "Yes, anding" your suggestions, they "No, get out of my housing" them.
They insist they have a "secret missive from wizards of the coast" with the "real rules of D&D" that you can't see but oddly always aligns with their plot.
The above, even when you're not playing D&D
Their minis are clearly just random animals they've put on the game map. One's a deer.
You give your action, and they just stare, unblinking, faintly smiling. They don't respond to anything you say.
You abruptly realize you've never seen this person before
When you turn to ask other members of the game group what's going on, the room is empty.
On social media you find no trace of your game group. None of your friends remember ever meeting anyone of that description.
However, investigation finds their names and descriptions match the victims of an unsolved murder from 30 years ago.
You find photos of the victims, and it's them. Oh god, it's definitely them.
The murder took place during a D&D session
The GM was never found, but there's a photo.
You recognize them. Of course you recognize them.
As you realize this, you turn to run, but your GM is behind you. You didn't hear them enter. You're not sure how they did.
They still don't speak, but their smile is broader
You try to run, but you find you're frozen. The GM takes something out their bag.
It's their terrible homebrew with a bunch of awful rules that's completely focused around their self-insert mary sue DMNPC and they refuse to play anything else for the rest of the campaign.

when i was a kid my Getting To Sleep technique was visualizing a child-sized shriveled up mummy with big piercing eyes that would stand silhouetted in the doorway & stare at me & probably attack if i so much as opened my eyes after getting into bed & this technique caused me to develop a lifelong nighttime-induced paranoia & it still takes me 2 hours to fall asleep. so i wouldnt recommend that

If you struggle with substance abuse but not addiction, you still deserve support. If you struggle with suicidality/self harm urges but don't act on it, you still deserve support. If you struggle with psychosis and paranoia but have insight, you still deserve support. If you struggle with anything but are "coping with it," you still deserve support.
You dont need to be in imminent crisis to get help - safety planning, harm reduction, resources, and accommodations. You're still struggling. You're still suffering, You're still at risk/in danger. You deserve better - you need better. Your health and wellbeing matters.

yall are pro mental illness until they hallucinate
yall are pro mental illness until they dissociate
yall are pro mental illness until they self-isolate
yall are pro mental illness until they're paranoid
yall are pro mental illness until they split
yall are pro mental illness until it's too Scary for your comparatively neurotypical brain to handle

i'm not meanin to intrude on any good times or relaxation periods, but i was wonderin whether you really intend to stay so visible? i'm an american, but we're comrades-in-keyboards if you understand my meaning. how do you manage to stave off the paranoia? i can't seem to do anything with what i have as a result of mine, regardless of how well i stay out of the light. you're very inspiring !!!
ok so real talk for a second, i deal with really bad paranoia regularly, but i feel like part of what comforts me is precisely the fact that i am so visible, it gives me some sort of solace to know that people would notice if anything happened to me. that im public enough to talk about stuff to get help from my friends. and idk ive also made it sort of part of my mission to talk about just how much this scene (the hacking/hacktivist one) fucks with your mental health, and how much of that is purely because of (US) state repression. there is an entire talk by me about this, and hopefully the video recording of it can soon be fully public but yea. i am a lot more broken than i usually make it appear, and a lot of that is because i want to be a beacon of hope, not another burnt out broken activist who's already given up. a lot of this is spite. a lot of this is me being aware of my unique privilege of being mostly safe from extradition where i am. and im also just a fighter. i feel like i have to be a voice for those who cant talk, but a big part of that job is just being silly, and showing that we can, somehow, all get through this shit. like paranoia fucks you up, especially if you cant just rationalize it away because the fears a lot of activists have are very real, we operate under very real risks of very massive consequences and its very hard to just like, deal with that, but together we can, including everyone who doesnt (and shouldnt) show themselves out in the open so visibly.

to my psychotic/paranoid/OCD/other friends - you might start seeing posts in the next few days about how the rapture supposedly happened or is going to happen very soon. a group of evangelical “rapture watchers” think the rapture happened 9/22/23 for a handful of reasons, such as the dates lining up in a way that’s somehow significant.
i promise the rapture didn’t happen. i don’t personally believe in the rapture and i have nothing against those who do, but it for sure didn’t already happen. if it did everyone would know. there would be tons of footage. anyone who tries to claim it did happen or that they know the date is either lying or misguided.

The brain is an organ. Mental illnesses are illnesses of that organ. Brain scans show that there is a physical difference between a healthy brain and a sick brain. Telling someone “You’re not really sick. It’s all in your head.” is like telling someone with asthma “It’s not real, it’s all in your lungs.” The brain is an organ that can malfunction as much as any other organ.
