Who is this smug, hot dog eating man from Hawaii?
I legitimately hope that's Jojo's stand.

[ID: 11 gifs from season 3, episode 22 “explorers” from the tv series “star trek: deep space nine”, the gifs show miles o'brien and julian bashir inside o'brien's personal quarters. they are both drunk. julian is seated on the couch, and miles is on a chair behind the couch.
1st gif: "unless she really ignored you because she can't stand you." miles tells julian and then keeps laughing to himself.
2nd gif: miles is still laughing while julian says, "isn't there some explanation in between?"
3rd gif: miles stops laughing and sits up, he tells julian, "well... you're not an in-between kind of guy." and julian asks him, "what do you mean?"
4th gif: "well, people either love you or hate you." miles tells him matter of fact, he is holding a snack with his fingers. julian has turned to face miles, "really?"
5th gif: "i mean, i hated you when we first met." miles tells julian, pointing towards himself and chewing on his snack. "i remember." julian replies.
6th gif: miles leans back in his chair, "but now..." he trails off chewing his snack, and eating the one in his hand.
7th gif: the camera cuts to julian as he turns his head to look at miles once more. "and now?" he prompts him.
8th gif: the camera cuts to miles, he turns his head to look towards julian, he tells him, "well... now i don't." then looks ahead once more and goes to eat more of his snacks.
9th gif: the camera cuts to julian as he turns his head to look ahead. he is nodding while telling miles, "that means a lot to me, chief. it really does."
10th gif: miles leans over the couch, he tells julian, "really! now... that is from the heart, huh?" julian is nodding as he speaks and he pushes his fist against julian's shoulder to stress his words.
11th gif: julian turns to look at miles who continues talking, "huh? i really do. not hate you anymore." miles seems surprised with the realisation as well. /end ID]

If there are any writers out there :
How do you get over the fear of not having enough skill to tell the story you want to tell?
I've had a story in mind for years now and it's actually reading fan fiction that motivated me to "get over my fear" (quotes because I'm obviously not over it, just mad enough at myself to finally want to try and write it) but damn, that fear is paralysing.

i know its like, a sort of widely accepted funny thing or whatever, but i would urge people to try and be sensitive about the language they use when congratulating trans men/mascs on their top surgeries. just because some people are ok with gendered language for their chests doesnt mean everyone is, and for someone with really strong chest dysphoria who just underwent major surgery to alleviate it, it can feel like a real slap in the face to have random people leaving comments like congrats on the tiddy removal/teet yeet/breast banishment or whatever the fuck else insufferable joker shit people come up with.

Jamie isn't even that tall as an adult really (hes one of the shorter ones on the team for sure), so kid Jamie would have been just tiny, all bony knees and bruised shins and brushing his hair into that obnoxious peak to make himself look taller
:(( I always think about pre-academy baby Jamie playing on a team with older kids (because he's so good that he has to play up a few years to give him a challenge/make it fair for everyone) and getting pushed around a lot because he's a lot smaller than everyone else. So that's part of (a smaller factor than James but still a factor) why he develops the whole tough guy/bully persona. He tries to make himself seem bigger and more intimidating so that people won't try shit with him and he carries that with him into adulthood

You'd seen the protagonist for Jojolands? Seems he IS the protagonist, i am glad to be wrong, but i am going to be honest...he still looks kind of evil, like he has that smug smile that i'd never seen with any of the post part 6 protagonists, lol. For all we know this could be another arrogant guy like Part 2's Joseph. he just has that Dio aura with the hair and the malicious expression.
tbh I think he looks babey here, we'll have to wait to see learn his personality (Araki teased a few months ago that Part 9 would be about Joseph's descendants).
It's also worth mentioning that all this new image reveals is that Part 9 is "the story of a boy in the subtropical islands who goes on to become a millionaire."
While it's probably safe to assume the guy in the drawing is the boy in question, in a few parts Araki gave us a total headfake and introduced someone other than Jojo first: iirc Zeppeli was first in SBR, Dio was first in Part 1 (sadly though Tsuda changed this in the anime), and Araki introduced Giorno in a way that would lead the reader to guess he was Jotaro's kid, not Dio's.
So if Araki was being cute here, this might not even be Part 9's Jojo : D

The idea that "a thousand civilian deaths over one soldier's death" just tells me when people aren't ready to engage in conversations about war beyond what I'd tell to my small brother, it is absurd that so many people genuinely, unironically think like that
The "get them before they get me" attitude will kill us all, and for what?
