hi tumblr user roseworth im desperately trying to figure out how old rose and eddie were by the end of their tenures in tt03 / how long they knew each other and it is... difficult especially because sooo much happened dc-event-wise during tt03. do you have any canon sources or noncanon thoughts on their ages beyond eddie being 17 in part of tt03 and rose being 14(?) when lilli dies ^_^

hiiiiii <3 unfortunately i dont have a great answer for this bc. comic timelines. but ill do my very best

so for rose the only time we get anything about her age in tt03 is in issue #0.5 (when she gets taken by slade) when it says that lili and slade met 18 years ago

so i assume that makes rose ~17 when she join slade (since lili would've been pregnant for 9 months after this)

we also get this panel saying that lili died 18 months before rose joins slade, putting her at around 15 or 16 when lili dies. iirc she was 14 when wintergreen sees her for the first time, so we can assume a year went by between wintergreen meeting lili and lili's death (if tt03 is to be believed! but deathstroke 1991 (annual #4) mentions that shes 14 when her mom dies)

anyways this also means that roy hired her as a live-in nanny when she was 16 years old which is really funny to me. but none of that matters; point is she was 17ish at the start of tt03

this is just my personal headcanon but i assume that the time between titans/yj graduation day -> infinite crisis is around a year, and if rose joins up with slade a little after graduation day then shes with him for just under a year

HOWEVER if we go by what slade says in nightwing #112, rose has only been with him for a few months

so based on that, rose is 17 (probably closer to 18) when she leaves slade

then infinite crisis happens and we skip to a year later! so shes 18/19 now. we dont get any specifics on her age but just for funsies we can assume that shes at least 18 since shes smoking and cyborg doesnt have a problem with it (he confiscates her alcohol but not her cigarettes), and the tobacco age in california in 2006 was 18

THEN it gets complicated. i dont have a source for this but i think theres supposed to be a year between oyl -> final crisis, making rose 19/20 by fresh hell (the secret reason she got kicked off the teen titans was because she wasnt a teen #adulthood)

also in fresh hell, she orders alcohol at a bar in canada (in the northwest territories where the drinking age is 19) so theoretically that makes her at least 19. though she never actually gets the drinks because she gets in a fight 2 seconds after this so she doesnt get carded so who knows!

from there. i dont have much. i assume that a full year doesnt go by from fresh hell to the end of the universe (if anyone knows how long bart & kon were dead for that might change things, but i assume we're not given any exact info on how long it was), so i would put rose at ~20 right before the new 52 happens!!

as for eddie, ill use the same tt03 timeline that i used for rose

like you mentioned, hes 17 in tt03 #42 (for reference rose is 18/19 at this time)

he didnt join the teen titans that long before this, we see him asking to join in 52 #51, which is like a week or two before tt03 #34 (the first tt issue after oyl) so its safe to assume that eddie is 17 when he joins the team

anyways after #42, i dont think we get any mention of his age? which is honestly kinda weird since his age is Very Important given that hes selling his soul to neron at 20. we should have an eddie's age tracker at all times

if we assume that hes 17 when he joins the teen titans and oyl -> final crisis is 1 year, then hes right around 18 or 19 when he dies

when he loses his powers then tries to make another contract to get them back in tt03 #68, kid eternity mentions that he'd have "a few years of superheroing," so him being 18 around this time makes sense

then he dies in #74 </3 no mention of his age anywhere but id say hes right around 18 when he dies

take all of this with a grain of salt bc a lot of this is just me making up timelines. but i personally think rose is 15 when her mom dies, 17 when slade takes her, 18 when she leaves slade, and 19 as of tt03 #34 (oyl). and eddie is 17 when he joins the team and 18 when he dies!

Title "HotDBB23"; description is optional

Type in the CSS code shown below exactly the way it is here:

On the bottom right under "Actions" will be the option to Submit for you, tap/click and you're done!

Once you're done, you choose New Post in the top right of your browser. You fill out the Rating, checkmark the right Archive Warnings, choose the Fandom (i.e. House of the Dragon in this case), the Category that applies to your story, the Relationships and Characters. Last but not least, you put in the Additional Tags (i.e. more Warnings, or triggers).

You get to the point where you put in the Title of your story and Co-Creators, where you can put your Artists name/s for example, but you can also gift it to them a bit further down. Important is that they are part of the posted story, since they collaborated with you. Then follows the box to fill in your Summary. If you want to add a note at the beginning or end of a chapter, you checkmark the option and a box will open. Whatever you write in there, please note it will be gone if you uncheck the box.

Type in "HotDBigBang" under Post to Collections/Challenges and select the Collection shown in the description.

Under Gift this Work to, you are free to add your Artist and Beta Reader. You can also put your Artist as Co-Creator and gift the work to your Beta Reader as alternative option.

Select the This Work has Multiple Chapters if your story has more than one chapter.

And last but not least, you Select the Work Skin "HotDBB23" before you get to the part where you can past in your story.

Please add an Image Description of the image you are posting, it will be for those who use TTS- text to speech to have someone read the story, that includes visually impaired people, but also those who simply like it to listen to a story. It will be nice for them to hear what they would see in the image. You can be as detailed as you like.

Next is Width and Height, both get automatically generated and even if the image pops up really big when you tap Save, remember you used a Work Skin that will adjust it accordingly for your readers once posted.

Hit submit and you are done! Your fic will remain unrevealed in the collection until your reveal date. We will post the full reveal schedule closer to the deadline.

Just a little rant because I've just woke up and I still couldn't stop thinking about it.

I am aware that this post may seem redundant and makes me look like I'm overreacting but it's just to show my feelings and perspective.

I'm getting very uncomfortable for some reason the more they try to reach out to me because I will admit, I'm a coward and I get very uncomfortable and a bit scared when I'm confronting someone I already blocked for a reason and sometimes I still contemplate whether I should or shouldn't consider talking to them about the situation but, again, I am a coward and have no experience how to handle these types of encounters. I fear that I'll be in a more uncomfortable situation if I did try talking to them and another part of me thinks that their intention to talking is either going to be the same in their apology that probably specifies that they're apologizing for the sake that they won't have to be seen with disdain and probably will just sound guilt trippy. (Not completely sure but that's how I percieve it)

Here's the picture part, Again with the warning above. I know their replies might sound completely normal and you can say that I'm overreacting but I still feel comfortable about these considering I did block them. Some pictures will include from before and after I blocked them.

This was before I blocked them, I added this because I was a bit surprised and uncomfortable when they found my TT and directly asked in the comments about why I didn't answer their asks. (I was giving myself a break on asks at that time and I was finishing some schoolwork that involved plenty of my time. I did reply to them and still answered their ask the same day.)

This was after I blocked them, I think a few hours after?? I slept overnight and saw this when I woke up so I assumed it was hours after I blocked them. I know their comment obviously doesn't seem it had any bad intentions but again, this was after I blocked them so it was more on I was very uncomfortable with them at that time when some users helped me realize how the situation could escalate if I didn't.

This was yesterday, I was a bit relieved when they did try to apologize but I still didn't reply to it because I thought it would be the end and we can move on. But again, Like their apology, It sounds a bit 'different'?? When they're aware of what they did??

Now this is the comment that got me a bit spooked and did make me uncomfortable like it stated above this. I still am not sure how to proceed with this but I'm just going to ignore it and try to think properly first.

after way too long, Act 1 is finally fucking done, yet the more I read it, the shorter it feels. I can’t tell if it’s because I don’t need to absorb the tutorial stuff due to being familiar with the comic already, or because I’m anticipating when shit really goes crazy later on. maybe a bit of both. it certainly preps me for the art style, the flowery language, the weird humor, and so on.

I can say that Act 1 is

fine.

it is of good quality.

nothing groundbreaking and not the best,

but enjoyable nonetheless.

I get that it’s a bit slow and nothing really happens, but I’m able to entertain myself with the page to page shenanigans and good character interactions.

communication is not just talking with your mouth parts. as a system of AAC users, we feel guilty at times for not being able to be verbal all the time. some alters try to force themselves to be verbal, which causes shutdowns, meltdowns and burnout.

like everyone can use it but us. we need to get use to the idea every form of communicating is valid, for us and everyone else. nonverbal and verbal.

i use AACs at times, and i feel guilt for using them. i don't feel valid, that everyone else can use them but i shouldn't. i shouldn't think this way but our brain is so negative twoards us. While I was going through the LIU ML I did notice that there was quite a huge difference in reblogs and interactions but please don’t think that it’s because of your writing! Tbh it can be a multiple of factors such as people only reading fics for certain members (even though they’re missing out on amazing stories but wtv-), ghost readers, people forgetting to reblog the second part (cough cough), shyness ig??, not realizing it was a part of a series, they’re no longer active to complete reading the series, they want to wait fir the series to end before reading it all in one go, or because they simply don’t know that reblogs weigh more than likes on tumblr :(
