cap was so touched by Pat giving him a badge because it was one of the few badges he actually ever earned himself. and it was because he was working with people as a team. that was such a major moment for cap in so many ways.

Getting emotional over Pat giving Cap a teamwork badge again. Just the way he puts it on over the real badges he’s wearing,,, but they’re not his badges,,,,, and now he finally has a badge that he earned,,,,, and he’s going to wear it with so much pride,,,,

give me a dark magic chaos dude who runs from feelings and is generally impulsive and does things for good reasons but gets framed as a bad person and so they believe they are bad and that they're fundamentally unlovable while also continuously denying themself the chance of love and has family/childhood trauma that shows in their attachment styles and issues with themself/identity and desperately wants to prove themself worthy of something and needs to belong and just wants to do something right for once.

and give me lighter sparky streamlined fella who looks and acts very put together and has a different kind if magic but has their own trauma that is more religious/institutionalized/heirarchy-based that makes them kind of a pushover at times and needs to be constantly working to give themself purpose because they can't lose their usefulness and they never feel like they're doing enough but who feels and expresses emotions and love ritiously and honestly and unapologetically.
