So what do you do?

So what do you do? When you're stuck in the middle of a situation there's no solution to? When you're stuck between your best friend and the person that's absolutely perfect for you. Now here's the real question. What do you do when they're the same person? While the answer may seem like a simple "oh just tell him how you feel he probably feels the same and if not oh well you're still best friends" because well no. That does not, in fact, work. Ever. But wait for it here's the real wrench in this love story. What if there's someone else for him? You know you would be better for him: treat him better, love him better, be a better friend to him, be a better lover, just be better than she is to him. But he just will not see it. You're just his best friend/play thing at school. So all in all he's getting the best of both worlds while you have to decide which world of yours you are going to shatter and which one you're going to rebuild from the rocky foundation up. So what do you do? Do you still tell him? Do you lay it all on the line and hope for the best? Do you keep it all in and continue thinking "one day?" Or do you simply just give up?
