I’m thinking about Old Gays again, and Thomas coming to the somewhat obvious conclusion that Guy proposed based largely on the fact that Thomas is attractive—which makes him just a little nervous! Because he can of course remember when he tried to get Philip to sweep him away, and wasn’t successful even though he was trimmer and didn’t have as many scars or any gray in his hair. And sure he knows that he’s still an attractive man, but middle age is perilously close and there are attractive young men in Hollywood, too…

… so he’s kind of shocked to hear Guy say, eventually, that if there was one thing that cemented his decision, it was Thomas’s kindness. His kindness, and his quiet confidence, the kind that led him to talk to a film star like a person, not with the shyness or arrogance of youth, the kind that lets him brag a little or make self-deprecating jokes or be gracious as he felt like it, the kind of confidence it took Thomas years to really develop and settle into. And that definitely reorganizes Thomas’s thinking—the idea that his age and experience are a feature, not a bug, and that Guy is attracted to something that other people didn’t really believe he was capable of for so long. We’re big fans of the Bleachers in the McKay household. They were one of the best shows I’ve seen at Tulsa’s famed Cain’s Ballroom. I'm so sorry if this is an intrusive question, but what do you do to take care of your skin after shaving/getting rid of body hair? I don't really know what my gender is anymore, but I hate having hair on my belly, but every time I shave it I start to break out or get ingrown hairs and now it feels like I have to either live with body hair or have gross little spots that won't seem to go away even after I stop shaving regularly. And I hope this isn't weird/harmful but when I see how cute your belly looks it makes me feel like there has to be something I'm doing wrong with mine.

This is only for body hair: The best life hack I've found is actually stop using a razor razor to shave your body. Just quit. Actual disposable razors are fucking horrible and cost so much. I'll post the link to the electric razor I use. Over the last 6 months it has only ever cut me once, and I didnt even feel it. Luckily HRT is taking care of most of my body hair, but before HRT I was frankly VERY hairy so I know a thing or 12 about body hair and how to get rid of it. Trust me, just use this. It's been life-changing. Plus its like 90-95% as good as a disposable razor and I can shave my whole body in like 15 minutes.

If you have facial hair, honestly the best thing you can do is laser. You'll have to shave it like normal with an actual razor to get the closest shave until you can complete your sessions (usually takes 6 at a minimum). I'm in the process of getting it all zapped away. It fucking hurts, but its worth it. Its really working and after just 2 sessions its actually mostly gone, although your mileage may vary.
