WIP Wednesday - pt. 2

Since @mtreebeardiles tagged me, I guess I have to share, don't I? LOL There hasn't been a TON of writing of late, but the muses were kind enough to give me 1300 words the other night, so here's another little snippet from that same piece...

Later that evening after crawling into bed with Kaidan, as he settles in behind him, Caleb snuggles close and wraps an arm around his waist. Kaidan, nearly asleep at that point, shifts and mumbles, “Y'okay, Shepard?” Of course, he notices.  Huffing softly and nestling his chin on Kaidan’s shoulder, Caleb replies, “Just thankful I have you here with me.” Kaidan rolls over to face him, eyes opening as he peers through the dim light given off by the fish tank.  But when his fingers lightly trace along Caleb's face, over scars no longer present, Shepard shivers. “I’ll be honest, for a while there, I wasn’t sure it would happen.” Leaning in, Caleb ghosts a light kiss across Kaidan’s lips.  “Aye, mo ghrá.  For a while, neither did I." He pauses to yawn, his arm tightening slightly. A smile works its way across his face when Kaidan echoes the movement. "Would’ve been the biggest mistake of my life, too.” Kaidan releases a sleepy chuckle as he moves his head to Caleb's shoulder. “I’ll be sure to remind you of that if you ever try pushing me away again.”

Slay the red dragon- sexual energy- with a sword- human will- and bring that raw animal energy higher. The phoenix is born- alchemical kundalini rises. You see the symbolism.

Study St George, Apollo, Hermes, Krishna, Siegfried- anyone who slays a serpent and you’ll find the allegories about overcoming the beast within and the tantric significance.

I think the Golden Legend has an account of St. George but it’s written to convert people so be leery. Jung ties Hatha-Yoga and the alchemical processes together in several of his works. They’re actually the easiest texts for westerners to read too.

The golden candlesticks of Hosea tell of this same process but with all the cryptic symbolism you’d expect of the prophets.

The method is the restraint of releasing sexual energy. Classical Hinduism as several methods of doing this.
