thank you for everything, farewell.

phos and shinsha let each other go, one by loss of self and the other by choice. while phos lost their way and memories of their past, shinsha was anchored by their promise and clung to hope mirrored by the unfinished encyclopedia. i wondered how hard it was to sever themself from past lingering feelings associated with the worn out notebook that phos left behind. 🥺

before phos shifted their priorities, they were driven by their desire to help shinsha find a purpose, which gave them a future to believe in. both had their ways of expressing how they meant to each other; it was far from perfect but meaningful to these two alone... this is a piece meant to parallel with an older work! 😭

in any other worlds or timeline, i'd like to imagine their lives could eventually collide in some way, despite how different their paths may diverge. they continue to damage me... my cope is that i'm always thinking about their reunions in alternate universes
