Teimo: So I just-? Okay.

Teimo: Well, where do I start?

Teimo: The store opens at ten in the morning. The hours have been stated on the window since my father owned it.

Teimo: But somewhere in his alcohol-logged brain, Waylo decides it’s best to show up several hours before I even get there.

Teimo: So I’m on my bike, I just had breakfast, I’m still waking up, and who do I see by the gas pumps with a shitty old Ruscko? Waylo fucking Schmidtt. I think he got it from that recluse outta town.

Teimo: But he watches me go in, all the while calling out my name like a maniac.

Teimo: He doesn’t follow me in, no no no.

Teimo: When I make it to the counter, he shoves his goddamn head through the wall. He demands I give him gas.

Teimo: Of course I give it to him, he pays for my dinner, but what the fuck?

Teimo: Then he goes and clears my shelves of chips and sausages, and eats half of it out in the parking lot.

Teimo: Buys four cases of beer.

Teimo: He’s nineteen.

22. Favorite place you visited this year?

Has to be Koli. I went there just as the sun was setting and the weather was clear and there was no wind so I got to enjoy mirror-like Pielinen and pastel skies. I could've sat there until the end of world. I don't think anything can ever top that experience.

24. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?

I don't do resolutions, sorry. But I guess my life long new year's resolution is to have good time and not worry too much. This year I've done exactly that :)

Laituritarvikkeet

Laiturin viimeistelyssä käytetään monenlaisia laituritarvikkeita. Viimeistely voi liittyä normaaliin käyttöön kuten uimaportaat, turvallisuuteen kuten köysikaide tai puinen kaide, visuaaliseen viimeistelyyn kuten myrskylyhty, tai veneen kiinnitykseen kuten pollarit ja ankkurointilenkit.

Yleisin laituritarvike lisävaruste on uimaportaat. Niitä on monenlaisia: taittuvia jotka pysyvät jäiden liikkeiltä turvassa, perusmallin kiinteitä uimatikkaita, tai uimaportaat voi tehdä myös puusta. Hyvät uimaportaat ovat tarkoitusta palvelevat, turvalliset ja tukevat.

Toinen käyttömukavuutta ja -turvallisuutta lisäävä laituritarvike on kaide. Kaiteen voi tehdä köydestä, puusta tai metallista. Helppo ja kaunis kaiden syntyy pöyröhirsitolppiin kiinnitetystä köydestä. Köysikaide säilyttää laiturin kevyen visuaalisen ulkomuodon ja on perinteisesti merellisen tunnelmallinen.

Kesäillan hämärään näyttävä laituritarvike, tai -lisävaruste on myrskylyhty. Perinteinen lamppuöljyllä lepattava oikea tuli myrskylyhdyssä näyttää kauniilta heijastuessaan yöllä veden pinnasta. Lyhty laitetaan koukkupidikkeeseen, joka kiinnitetään tolpan tai kepin nokkaan.

Veneen kiinnitykseen käytetään laituripollareita. Niitä saa mm. Puuilosta ja venetarvikeliikkeistä. Pitkospuun laiturissa on myös pyöröhirsitolpat joita voi käyttää köysien kiinnitykseen.
