The 6th KBFTN event of the year was a night tournament on Piercy Priest Lake, from 6pm until 1:30am. It was a stormy night with gusty winds but the fish didn’t seem to mind. I was fortunate enough to pull off another 1st place finish. I will be donating 25% of my winnings to the Harpeth Conservancy. Squeaked out a first place finish at fourth stop for KBFTN at Piercy Priest Lake. I had to work through quite a few small 12-14” to catch a few better fish. Conditions kept changing throughout the day and I ended up catching fish on 7-8 different lures, fishing at depths between 1-25 feet. I will be donating 25% of my winnings to the Harpeth Conservancy. Got out to Piercy Priest Lake with my buddy Josh for a few hours yesterday morning. The wind started gusting around 25mph by noon so we called it a day. Had an awesome time fishing the Piercy Priest Winter Series aboard the General Lee with Preston Henson. Changed gears a bit and jumped on Josh’s bass boat to fish the Piercy Priest Winter Series team tournament today. The day started slow when we discovered our primary area got muddied up by recent storms. Midday we went to plan B and started catching fish right off the bat. Throwing Alabama Rigs, we filled our 5 fish limit the next couple hours.
